Race 1 - $25,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool
Race 8 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool
MEET STATS: 0 - 0 / $0.00
Race 1
(5) HAVEONEFORME won in her career debut for Nifty Norman and followed that up with a solid try finishing second, assuming no mishaps, the filly trotter should score easily here at a short price. (4) AB'S ROYAL PUNKIN seems to have tailed off a bit recently but she had some good efforts a few back at big prices. (7) STORMING MIST didn't handle the half over at Yonkers but he returns to the big track with Gingras driving.
Race 2
(4) IN SECRET has come back razor-sharp in 2019 and the Burke trainee may have a tactical edge over the streaking (6) TROLLEY. The latter looks for his seventh win in eight starts and has been hard to fault; versatile trotter will be a big part of this. (5) SUTTON qualified back very nicely for Team Miller but may need a start or two to hit top gear.
Race 3
(4) WELL SAID MARIA has broken before the start in both pari-mutuel tries since moving to the Burke barn, burning money in the process, but she has a nice qualifier sprinkled in. A better price is looming tonight if you trust her. (3) TEARFUL OF HAPPY has burned money in her last two; use caution. (5) KEYSTONE NIKKI may be part of the early pace battle.
Race 4
(8) DAWSON SPRINGS gets a barn and driver change here (Norman/Dunn) and that may be enough to awaken the trotter in this very soft field. (5) CAN DO has some back class and figures to be forwardly placed. (3) KNIGHT OF VICTORY gets a driver change to McCarthy and could be closer to the action tonight; player.
Race 5
(7) CC BIG BOY SAM was a good second in his last two to Pop Pop Joe; he goes for new connections off the claim and may be able to turn the tables with the post edge. (8) FOUR STACES was third best after grinding last week and he fits well here. (10) POP POP JOE has been razor-sharp but will have to get it done from post ten in order to score again.
Race 6
(4) ROCK OF CASHEL is a horse I always seem to guess wrong on but he recently regained his form blowing away lesser and he has more than enough class to handle these. (6) TAG UP AND GO has landed nice shares in his last handful at this level. (1) DEKEYSER goes third start for Jenn Bongiorno and figures to be close up throughout from this spot.
Race 7
(2) SHESJUSTADELIGHT N is a quality mare who has just been coming up a bit flat recently in high-conditioned events at Yonkers. Perhaps the change in scenery will wake her up. (8) ELLA CHRISTINA is another talented mare who has been racing just evenly at Dover versus some decent competition. (1) FAMILY ROLL CALL hails from Burke/Gingras; respect.
Race 8
(5) DI OGGI has powered home impressively in his two 2019 starts for Swanstedt and he seems sharp enough to handle the rise in class. (8) NOWS THE MOMENT gave it a good try off the driver change last week before breaking; Napolitano drives again. (4) PAPPY GO GO is a bit inconsistent but the talent is there.
Race 9
(2) GIVEMEYOURHEART just missed versus better a a big price last week and now gets to drop; mare has some class to her and should go well at this level. (9) STYLISH BEACHWARE has too far to come last out but did go willingly late; post does no favors but she should be on the scene late again. (8) VELOCITY LANA is another that was too far back to threaten but she gets slight post relief tonight; McCarthy sticks.
Race 10
(10) RUBBER DUCK lands all the way outside and hasn't been at his best but it's tough to pass on him at this reduced level. (9) HAMMER TIME also drops off multiple sharp efforts; will Ginsburg get moving with him early here? (3) BIZET didn't handle the half-mile track last week but should go smoother here.
Race 11
(4) ADMIRAL has gone off at big prices in his last few but hasn't raced all that badly; drop in class, post relief and the switch to Callahan may work in his favor. (8) AMERICAN RAGE is a classy old guy who can still be competitive when at the proper level; he goes for new connections off the claim and should go well here; Gingras drives. (7) JUST N BERLANDER has raced very well here at this level for Kyle DiDebnedetto.
Race 12
(9) MIAMI moved to the Burke barn, behaved himself and went a big qualifier, getting beat by Sutton; only problem is he may be overbet. (7) CELEBRITY LOVER has raced well in his 2019 starts here for Team Buter. (5) SCREAMING CONWAY has raced well to be third best in his last two and he could hit the ticket again from this spot.
Race 13
(3) MAGNUM MIKE seems to be feeling good again the veteran can get it done with any sort of sensible trip. (8) RATHER SWELL tired on the front end last week but he goes for new connections off the claiim while proven at this level. (1) MASTER OF PUPPETS weakened last out but was a sharp winner the start prior with Callahan in the bike.
