Race 1
(7) CASH CALF has performed much better on fast tracks and she should get one on Friday. This looks like a good spot for her. (6) LUCKY SHEILA rallied nicely last time from post 10 and should get some pace to close into late. (3) BIZET will head to the top and should hold for a share of the exotics.
Race 2
(4) LANDONFITZ is right at home in this condition and the inside post should ensure a reasonable trip. (8) DOG GONE LUCKY improved with the driver change a week ago. (1) CELEBRITY LOVER has been racing well and would be no surprise in this spot.
Race 3
(2) NORTHERN CREDIT had no issues qualifying last week. Perhaps the big track combined with trotting hobbles is what he needs to mind his manners. (6) ONE FINE LADY has early speed and form. (1) BETTER CALL SAUL switches to a catch-driver and might just bring a top effort.
Race 4
(8) PENPAL gets tons of class relief and should be able to sprint by this field in the stretch. (6) DANIKOVA comes off a nice mile and adds Gingras; aggressive try likely. (7) OK HEAVENLY was done in by post 10 last time; sharp otherwise.
Race 5
(1) IF NOT WHY NOT has gone on quite a roll since adding Lasix and I see no reason why it will end this week. (6) ZOOMING has plenty of class and the early speed to gain position off the gate. (7) RESITA could be a sneaky play switching to the big track after back-to-back breaks.
Race 6
(5) TROLLEY looked like a winner every step of the mile last week and now steps up to take on slightly tougher. Five-year-old might just have the ability to be a low-level open trotter. (1) TUONOBLU REX put in a steady mile after a few months on the sidelines. He draws better this week and should be tighter as well. (1A) OPULENT YANKEE is coupled with ‘Rex’ and just as dangerous. He could certainly wire this field if on his game.
Race 7
The Pick 4 kicks off with as difficult race. (1) COLORFUL JASMINE has missed a few weeks of action but that is not uncommon for starters from this barn. Four-year-old mare is proven over the track and drawn nicely to use her early speed. (4) FANCY CREEK JOLENE closed well with no shot after chasing a slow pace last time. She can show more with a better setup. (2) NARCIAN JEWEL double drops in class and draws well. Despite those positive angles, she could offer value. (7) TEARFUL OF HAPPY & (6) ICOMMANDMYSPIRIT have early speed and should be heard from.
Race 8
(3) IDEAL ROMANCE has rolled to consecutive victories in this class since the claim and should be odds-on to get the hat trick. (2) ATLAS ALLIANCE N can get around #1 rather easily and sit a good trip. (7) DANCING RUSTY rallied nicely when last here. He’ll need some help but there just might be enough early speed signed on to provide that assistance.
Race 9
(1) MASTER OF THE HILL shows breaks in four of his last five starts, but those occurred on smaller tracks. Against a field which clearly lacks form, he could go down the road if he stays trotting. (6) WHATNBLAZES hasn’t been that bad lately and he does get a nice driver switch here. (2) CELEBRITY BLUECHIP gets post and class relief upon arrival.
Race 10
(1) DANGEROUSPRECEDENT has been racing ok at Plainridge while using off the pace tactics. Moving to the bigger track and adding McCarthy could be just what this mare needs to take a picture. (6) LIVE ODDS is at the right level against the type of field where she should race well. (5) DEPRIVED has early speed and that alone puts her in the conversation. (2) PERSUASIVE HANOVER is winless on the year but capable of sneaking into the exotics.
