MEET STATS: 0 - 0 / $0.00
BEST BETS: 0 - 0 / $0.00
SPOT PLAYS: 0 - 0 / $0.00
BEST BET -
PAPI ROB HANOVER (12th)
SPOT PLAY - LUCKY SHEILA (11th)
Race 1 - NW4/50000LT / NW6/75000LT, NW3 Last 3 Starts Trot **$25K GTD PICK-5**
(8) SPECTRE worked his way up to NW7 over at Pocono. Enters off a break, but he has winning experience here and might enjoy getting back on the big track tonight. (2) STAR TRACK HANOVER isn't always reliable as you can see on the page, but he's another one who has won locally this season. (1) GRANDMA HEIDI added Lasix recently and has a second and then a win since. Gets reunited with Marcus Miller tonight from the pole.
Race 2 - Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace
(5) CAPTAIN BARBOSSA won the first week of the Grand Circuit Meet in Lexington, then was a solid second to the undefeated Tall Dark Stranger on Saturday. Looks like a standout here based on those efforts. (2) TEAM BEST made the Metro final and was a good second the first week at The Red Mile before ending up first-over on Saturday afternoon. Good post to work with here. (1) BOMBSHELL HANOVER was second to a couple of talented colts in Major Betts and Freedom Warrior in stakes contests back in August and might be in a spot to follow along and hit the ticket here.
Race 3 - Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot
(4) CHESTNUT HILL rallied for third in the PA Sire Stakes Championship when last seen. He's been idle since then (9-8), but I'll trust that he's ready for this tonight. (8) SKY CASTLES picked up his game in his second start for Andrew Harris, easily winning a Simpson division at Harrah's Philadelphia. (5) ALL RISE has been in solid form lately, including a win last Friday at The Red Mile. Keeps Tyler Buter's services tonight.
Race 4 - NW2/20000LT Trot
(6) SKYWAY KON MAN broke his maiden last time out at Yonkers and I'll look for him to double up tonight. Has raced at the Meadowlands before, finishing third both times in good efforts. (7) DEPLORABLE TOM recovered well from a break on 9-27 to rally for second, then qualified impressively over the track on October 3. Another recent newcomer to the Harris barn. (5) NIGHT HALL out-draws his Svanstedt stablemate (#8) in here and wound up with Dexter Dunn.
Race 5 - Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot
(4) SENORITA RITA came in second in both her starts at The Red Mile, but they were both great tries. She has plenty of early speed to use and can wire this group. (5) DIP ME HANOVER won the Peaceful Way up in Canada but hasn't charted a line since. I think that puts her behind her stablemate and my top pick, so she has to go underneath. (2) HALL OF AM S went a big mile in her debut at Harrah's Philadelphia but then broke at Pocono. Tetrick guided her to the maiden win, and he's back in the bike tonight.
Race 6 - Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot
(6) WORD OF HONOR advanced to the Doherty Memorial final here this summer, then took some time off. Had two sharp qualifiers out in Lexington, and she looks ready for a solid performance tonight. (10) HEAVEN is stuck with the outside post but showed speed at The Red Mile. Was a strong second in a Grand Circuit event last Friday. (3) HEART N SOUL DEO is having a solid season with four wins and is reunited with Tetrick, who drove her to her last win.
Race 7 - Winners of 4 But Not More Than 8 LT / 3YO Fillies Trot
(6) CRUISING IN STYLE has been racing well for Harris for a while now and comes off a solid second against some classy foes at Harrah's Philly where he was three-wide to get to the lead. (9) WINNDEVIE enjoyed a great campaign in the NY Sire Stakes program this year. Draws poorly, but I believe she's talented enough to overcome it and hit the board. (5) OMAHA OMAHA might enjoy a chance to race on the mile track as he's been over at Yonkers in their mid-level classes.
Race 8 - Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace **$50K GTD PICK-4**
(4) HEN PARTY closed well both weeks in Lexington, including from a bad post last Friday. Gets some post relief off that performance and Kakaley comes in to drive tonight. (1) ROCKNIFICENT has been getting bet but hasn't won since 8-13, and while there's been nothing wrong with her efforts, I'll try and beat her at a short price. (6) CAVIART HEATHER has been racing well at Freehold for Alagna and gets a mile-track try tonight with McCarthy taking over in the bike.
Race 9 - F&M NW15000L5/TrackMaster Rating 87 or Less as of 10/8 Pace
(7) JEWELS FORREAL exits a fast win over at Pocono and wound up with Marcus Miller driving again tonight. Appears to have plenty of gate speed to get well-positioned from this draw. (9) ROCKIN THE BOYS A has been matched up against nice tough foes over at Yonkers and won in a similar class in Westchester on September 13. (2) ODDS ON ST LUCIE flashed some talent earlier this year, taking a sub-1:50 mark in her Lynch elim, but wasn't as good after that. She gets Dunn tonight and qualified well at The Red Mile.
Race 10 - Kindergarten Classic 2YO Filly Pace
(1) MARLOE HANOVER loses David Miller tonight to another one, but I liked her wins in the PaSS consolation and out in Lexington, so I'll stick with her as Buter takes over. (4) BABY YOUR THE BEST did keep Miller, and she's been racing well too, though winless since 9-1. (8) ANNABELLE HANOVER also won at The Red Mile after finishing second to her stablemate and my top selection in the PaSS consolation. Dunn's choice of three in here.
Race 11 - NW6500L5/TrackMaster Rating 81 or Less as of 10/8 / 15000CLM Trot
(8) LUCKY SHEILA delivered on the barn change to Bongiorno on 10-4 at Harrah's Philly and catches a group here she can beat again. (4) ATABOY HANOVER won here at the Meadowlands back in the spring and was a solid second two starts back with Callahan driving. (6) MISS RUBY owns two wins this year, both of which came at The Big M, so she's another one returning to her preferred track.
Race 12 - Kindergarten Classic 2YO C&G Pace
(4) PAPI ROB HANOVER skipped Lexington after finishing second to Tall Dark Stranger in both his Metro elim and the final. Should be a 1-9 winner in this spot. (1) TERRITORY had a trailing post at Hoosier and post eight at Harrah's Philly before that, so those were both tough positions. Could line up behind the heavy favorite here. (3) MAJOR RISKY seemed to step up his game out at The Red Mile. Loses Tetrick tonight, but I think he can round out the ticket.
Race 13 - F&M NW3500L5/TrackMaster Rating 77 or Less as of 10/8 Pace
(6) SWEETER LULU wired a similar-looking field at Harrah's Philadelphia on September 27, and I'll hope for the same approach and result tonight. (3) DUCK DUCK DRAGON gets a driver change to Dunn and has won at the Meadowlands before. (4) MAJOR MAID has no current form but returns to Abbatiello tonight and scored a win for him at the Meadowlands earlier this season.
