Meadowlands: First Class Guy rolls

First Class Guy opened a substantial lead on the turn and rolled to a 6 1/2-length romp in the $61,639 colt and gelding division on the New Jersey Futurity on Friday night at The Meadowlands.
The Futurity is the top event for 2-year-olds bred in the state.
First Class Guy ($3.20) was coupled with fourth-place finisher Skip Along Jet as an entry for trainer Jason Servis. Chris DeCarlo was aboard the winner, who ran the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09.85
Fagedaboutit Sal, supplemented for $5,100, was second with Defrere the Smile third.
In the $57,991 filly division, Pure Disco ($7.80) scored a front-running victory by 3 1/4 lengths over Highland Lass, with Morgans Wish third.
She was clocked in 1:10.62 with Elvis Trujillo riding for trainer Frank Generazio Jr.
* Tacirring ($4.80) took the off-the-turf $50,000 Thomas A. Edison Stakes by 1 1/4 lengths over Special Judge with Old Dodge third.
Ridden by Roberto Alvarado Jr. and trained by Scott Lake, Tacirring was timed in 56.19 seconds for the five furlongs.
