Meadowlands: Dream Baby Dream captures Mary Reynolds division

Dream Baby Dream, who picked up a third-place finish to Ariana G in the New Jersey Sire Stakes final last month, captured the $41,880 Mary Reynolds for 3-year-old trotting fillies on Saturday evening at the Meadowlands.
Driven by trainer Rod Allen, Dream Baby Dream cleared Sunshine Delight (Brett Miller) for the lead just past the 29 2/5 opening quarter, then went on to hit the half in 57 1/5 and the three-quarters in 1:24 4/5 without facing any outside pressure. Sunshine Delight angled back out from the pocket in the stretch, but Dream Baby Dream couldn't be caught, winning by just over a length in 1:52 2/5, a new lifetime mark. Race favorite Overdraft Volo (Andy Miller) was up for third after a second-over trip.
Allen also bred and co-owns Dream Baby Dream, a Muscle Hill filly, with partner Joseph Palermo III. Dream Baby Dream is now a three-time winner from 12 career attempts, and she has earned $57,142. The 6-5 second choice to Overdraft Volo, Dream Baby Dream paid $4.40 to win.
