Meadowlands: Caviart Ally rolls in Rainbow Blue Series final

Caviart Ally made it a clean sweep of the Rainbow Blue Series for pacing mares on Friday evening at the Meadowlands, picking up a new lifetime mark of 1:48 flat in taking the $60,000 final.
Driven by Andrew McCarthy, Caviart Ally settled third to the 26 1/5 opening quarter but was out and on the move in the second quarter, overtaking Apple Bottom Jeans (Corey Callahan) on the way to the 54 4/5 half. Caviart Ally stayed in the lead to the 1:22 2/5 three-quarters, repelling a first-over bid from Dont Think Twice (David Miller), and then Caviart Ally sprinted home in 25 3/5 to score by two lengths. Apple Bottom Jeans held second, with Bettor's Up (Tim Tetrick) third.
A 5-year-old Bettor's Delight mare, Caviart Ally is trained by Brett Pelling for owner Caviart Farms. Caviart Ally is now a 20-time winner in her career, and she pushed her bankroll to $1,298,750. The 1-5 favorite, she paid $2.40 to win.
