Meadowlands: Buy-ins welcome for Saturday's World Harness Handicapping Championship
This Saturday, April 13, 2019 the top horseplayers in North America will compete for $125,000 in prize money (based on 125 entries) in the 2019 World Harness Handicapping Championship. The WHHC is a one-day tournament with a welcome reception the evening prior.
The $125,000 prize pool is based on an estimated 125 entries with a $50,000 first place prize. Currently, the Championship’s Grand Prize is guaranteed at $40,000 regardless of the number of entries.
The WHHC contest format requires players to bet 10 races: their choice of eight Meadowlands races, two designated mandatory races. Players keep all pari-mutuel winnings. Prize payouts are to the Top 10.
Players that did not earn a seat through a qualifying event can directly buy-in for $1,300. The $1,300 entry fee includes a $300 bankroll, with the remaining $1,000 going to the prize pool.
Walk-up registrations will be accepted for the WHHC Final until 7 pm on Saturday, April 13th. The WHHC Final brochure is available at http://playmeadowlands.com/contest_detail.aspx?id=8240
