Busy Miss Lissy S and Twin B Seven Sins captured their respective $125,000 Kindergarten Series finals for 2-year-old trotters on Saturday night at the Meadowlands. The fillies were up first and All Time Trot S (Yannick Gingras) led early before she yielded to sit behind fellow Ake Svanstedt trainee Kate (Daniel Dube) after the 27 3/5 quarter. Kate would go on to reach the half in 56 4/5 as Busy Miss Lissy S and driver Johnathan Ahle began a first-over move out of the fourth spot. On the final bend All Time Trot S squeezed out in front of Busy Miss Lissy S, went by Kate on the outside before the 1:25 4/5 three-quarters and set sail for home.  However, Busy Miss Lissy S made steady progress towards All Time Trot S through the lane and was able to wear her down late, prevailing by a neck in 1:53 3/5. Kickan (Todd McCarthy) rode the rail in the three-hole and wound up third at 147-1, followed by the fourth Svanstedt pupil in the race Flying Copper (Svanstedt drove). Duicinea Hanover (Andy McCarthy) collected third. "She has a great attitude and a big heart. She's very small but she loves to race and that goes a very long way when they are 2-year-olds," said Sarah Svanstedt. "I wanted both of them to win, a dead-heat would have been nice. They have been coming good, both of them, now lately. It was a fight in the end of the stretch. It was nice to see." A homebred by Calgary Games for Denmark's Panamera Racing, Busy Miss Lissy S has a summary of 6-1-1 from eight outings, has pocketed $186,672 and paid $4.60 to win as the 6-5 favorite. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Ahle and Svanstedt went for the sweep with 3-5 favorite Magic Punk in the colt and gelding test, but had to settle for third in a race won by Noel Daley-trained 87-1 shot Twin B Seven Sins (Scott Zeron). Magic Punk cut opening-half fractions of 27 3/5 and 56 3/5 and then faced intense first-over pressure from Highball Hanover (A. McCarthy) on the final bend and to three-quarters in 1:25 1/5. Meanwhile, Lindy Living (Dexter Dunn) was in the pocket and Twin B Seven Sins sat on the pylons in the three-hole before getting shuffled back to fifth. In the lane the duel between Magic Punk and Highball Hanover continued, but as is often the case, Zeron had the pylon path the entire way and shot through with Twin B Seven Sins en route to a 1 1/2 length triumph in 1:53 3/5. AI (Gingras) rallied from seventh to second in the final quarter, followed by Magic Punk. Highball Hanover wound up fourth and Lindy Living rounded out the top five. "It was the option I was given and we took that. He raced sensational, and Noel told me a few hours before the race, 'don't sleep on him, he can go with these horses,'" Zeron remarked afterwards. "Obviously having the rail (post position) helped out, I was sitting third at the quarter pole following two very talented horses. I was just hoping my horse was good on this given day and he was." By Chapter Seven, the victorious colt was sent out by Daley for owners Patricia Stable, Caviart Farms, Allister Stables LLC. and L. A. Express Stable LLC. He has five wins from 11 trips behind the gate, has banked $112,505 and returned $177.40 to win.
