Meadowlands: Atlanta wraps up stellar Saturday for the Burke Brigade

Already with victories in the Adios and Adioo Volo on Saturday, Atlanta capped off a fine day for trainer Ron Burke by winning the lone $40,000 Miss Versatility Series leg for trotting mares at the Meadowlands.
Atlanta (Yannick Gingras) raced in the second spot behind Weslynn Quest (Joe Bongiorno) through fractions of 26 3/5, 55 2/5, and 1:23, but Gingras would vacate the pylons before three-quarters as Refined (Todd McCarthy) was making a two-wide advance out of the fourth position.
Weslynn Quest broke stride past three-quarters, leaving Atlanta on a loose lead, and she wouldn't relinquish it, tallying by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:50. Refined was a good second at 48-1, and 1-2 favorite Bella Bellini (Dexter Dunn) had to settle for third after tracking Refined's cover.
