FALL MEET STATS: 160-42-28-23 / $227.20 (-$92.80) BEST BETS: 12-8-1-0 / $45.00 (+21.00) SPOT PLAYS: 12-1-2-3 / $5.20 (-$18.80) BEST BET: RAPTORS FLIGHT N (6th) SPOT PLAY: OOH REAL GOOD (8th) Race 1: GSY 1 Pace - Pick 5 (3) MISS U BIG MIKE was picked off by a tiring pocket-sitter last time and lost any chance. He wasn't full of pace when clear but did finish evenly. It was a good enough effort to expect a solid showing here with a better trip. (4) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE gets some much appreciated post relief. Veteran is better when close to the action. (2) KEYSTONEFIGHTNIGHT hasn't been able to do much from off the pace at Pocono. Perhaps the combination of the switch in locales and picking up a good amateur will make a difference. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) races or $20,000 life - Survivor 7 (7) CREAM VIRGIN was an impressive winner last week and is now perfect in two starts this year. Despite another suspect field, she still may offer some value. (1) SWEET PHENOMENA proved she could chase in a fast mile in that recent qualifier. That said, she's a 2-year-old facing older and the qualifiers was almost three weeks ago. (6) IPANEMA HANOVER moves into a cold barn and hasn't raced in four weeks. At what seems likely to be a bad price, I'd avoid her, though she could win. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: GSY 1 Pace (3) DLS BIG ELVIS is a sharp horse who has had trouble getting over the top lately. Perhaps the switch to different company in the amateur ranks will give him the head he needs to come in first. (7) J ROCKIN B only moves in a couple of slots on the gate, but that could make a huge difference. Mare is a nice fit with these and could even consider firing off the gate. (2) KNOW YOUR ROLL sat on the rim parked weakly but kept motoring along for second last time. She has a shot but is winless in 16 starts this year. (6) SUNSHINES FINEST is always capable of stepping up with a big mile. He's a hard horse to love or toss. Race 4: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/5 74.5/75) or less - Pick 6 (5) DEERFIELD BEACH is capable of popping a big mile at times and seems to have found a good spot this week as he exits amateur company for a good barn. (1) THNDRFRMTHETHRON N drops back down to the level of his win two starts back; one to beat. (8) RUNWITHTHEBIGDOGS didn't fire from an outside post at Freehold in his first start for this barn. Estrada tends to do well with new arrivals and it may be wise to give this guy a second chance. Race 5: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3$3,350) in last 5/TM 76.5 or less (6) DONATO PATRIOT K showed a bit more life overall on the class drop in start three for this barn. Four-year-old has the most accomplished driver in the field and perhaps fourth time is the charm. (3) PAPPY GO GO gets serious class relief and logic would state he'll prove tough to beat. (4) FOUR UNDER PAR is fast enough to win and he certainly faced a better field in her last NW3000 start two weeks aback. Race 6: $7,500-$8,500 Claiming Handicap - Pick 4 (6) RAPTORS FLIGHT N came back from a short vacation and immediately picked up a win. Nine-year-old is simply faster than this group when on his game. (8) STOLEN ART found himself on the barn change and now this guy ships in from New England with another new trainer. I expect his form to remain intact. (3) SVENGALI is as erratic as they come. Will he show up this week? Race 7: GSY 1 Pace (8) ROCKABILLY CHARM was used hard last time and held very well while losing to a killer. He's clearly the horse to beat here while no lock on the win end. (1) DOC SEMALU rallied very well to be third behind the top pick last time. This guy could be coming around. (4) PRINCE ASTON moves inside this week. I'm going to give him one more shot. (6) SCRAPPIN GOLD was handled too aggressively last time and paid the price; contender. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/5 74.5/75) or less (4) OOH REAL GOOD stayed close to a quick pace and finished up very willingly last time. A repeat effort should result in good things tonight. (3) ANNE BONNEY N wasn't bad from a bad post at Freehold most recently; moves inside. (9) EVAS SPORTS CZECH can't possibly get as bad of a trip as she had last out. Race 9: $25,000-$40,000 Claiming Handicap (9) STRIKING IMPACT has the early speed to make the top if Beckwith desires and he really can't be faulted for two subpar efforts from outside posts at Yonkers. (4) KOBRA KAI has his success this year on the big track at Woodbine and now he's back on a bigger oval; interesting. (2) FOX VALLEY CARLIN is off a big win. Can he step up? (10) YS DO IT RIGHT hasn't won much the last two years but certainly merits a look in this spot.
