Meadowlands: Analysis for Saturday 9/5

FALL MEET STATS: 0-0-0-0 / $0.00 ($0.00)
BEST BETS: 0-0-0-0 / $0.00 ($0.00)
BEST BET: BILLY LINCOLN N (7th)
SPOT PLAY: ANOTHER DAILY COPY (6th)
Race 1: Non-winners 2 races or $20,000 life - Pick 5
(3) SWAN BY LAND rallied nicely last time after an early break. Four weeks on the sidelines is a question, but this barn is more than capable of having them ready off the bench. (1) ROBERT’S HANOVER has been racing well but can't last in the final yards. Maybe stretching out to the big track will help? (7) GOOSE moves into a new barn and might be worth a flyer.
Race 2: $12,500/$15,000 Clm Hcp
(3) SHATTERED GLASS was flat in his first start of the year but should be tighter now. Five-year-old scored over this track last year and lands in a sweet spot. (6) RURAL ART ships in from Saratoga with decent form and could be leaving the gate. (9) SOSSY’S KING KONG is another with form. He doesn't win often but drops in for a tag and should get into the number.
Race 3: Non-winners $7,000 in last 5/TM Rating 83 or less - Pick 6
(9) WARRAWEE UNIQUE has been hampered by outside posts on smaller tracks of late. Post 9 is no bargain at The Meadowlands, but it is a small step in the right direction. Four-year-old has the early speed to get in play versus an average group for the class. (4) CHANGE STRIDE N rarely gets bet but is certainly capable of leaving hard and working out a good trip. (3) SUPERIOR RAVEN reunites with Miller, who drove this guy to an easy win versus slightly lesser when last here. (5) TITANIUM N gets away from post 8 at Yonkers and picks up Dunn.
Race 4: Non-winners $2,500 in last 5
(1) INDEPENDENT ONE has been racing reasonably well out of town and already owns a win in NW10000 this year at the Big M. (4) CONSTNTLYSIDEWYS A never fired last time at Yonkers after missing three weeks of action but did ok previously here. (6) MAY I CRUISE WEST gets a major driver switch to Dunn.
Race 5: $10,000 Claiming
(4) IOWA NEIGHTIVE gets post relief and double-drops in claiming price. Barn is more than capable and this is a winning spot. (9) JUNIOR’S DEW returned from a four-week break and raced well at Freehold. His previous try was a win at the bottom Trackmaster level here. (1) SPORTS VISION is proven over this track and wouldn’t be a surprise. (5) DRUNKEN DESIRE A hasn’t raced much since the return from COVID but has done well in those appearances.
Race 6: Non-winners $10,000 in last 5/Opt. $30,000 Clm - Pick 4
(1) ANOTHER DAILY COPY was a solid third last time versus tougher foes at Philly. A top effort will result in a win. (3) DE LOS CIELOS DEO looks awful on paper, but does move back to the big track and is more than capable. Perhaps new driver David Miller can get him going on the right path. (4) DECISION DAY has plenty of form and should be in play. (2) LETS ROLL is a capable horse on best with a driver that is certainly not afraid to take a shot.
Race 7: Non-winners 2/3 races or $25,000/$30,000 life
(10) BILLY LINCOLN N lands in a bad post but a great spot versus a field he seems faster than at this point. (9) ROCKIN ROCKO is also stuck outside. Three-year-old has shown some miles that make him a big player in this field. (2) MAKE AMERICA GREAT ships in from Saratoga in good form and needs to prove himself on the big track.
Race 8: Non-winners $7,000 in last 5/TM Rating 83 or less
(4) INCREDIBLE SHARK was used early and stopped badly last time in the slop. Six-year-old is better than that and can rebound. (3) LIKE CLOCKWORK is down in class in his return here and certainly rates as a player. (1) CENTURY CHURCHILL is a bit better when down one notch on the condition ladder, but he can menace with the right trip. (5) CAMPORA N has no recent form but does drop in company; not impossible.
Race 9: Non-winners $14,000 in last 5/TM Rating 88.5 or less - Pick 5
(4) FREEDOM WARRIOR is a talented 3-year-old that couldn't get going before moving into the Bongiorno barn last time and blowing out a career-best mile. I'm on board. (8) AFLAME HANOVER came up short last time from a bad post after missing a few weeks of racing. Miller gets into the bike now and a top effort is expected. (3) THE FIRST STEP has been racing very well for trainer Ron Burke. (7) ROCK THE DEVIL is fast enough to win given the right trip. (1) LESPNDNITETOGETA N is a classy Down Under horse for a very capable barn.
Race 10: Non-winners $21,001 in last 5 or $23,000 in last 10 - Pick 4
(8) HIGHALATOR does well over this surface and doesn't get many opportunities in conditioned races. He faces some decent foes but should have a big chance. (2) DONTTELLMEAGAIN wasn't very impressive last time, but I still respect his ability and like the fact that Tetrick will drive. (7) ANGERS BAYAMA was the sharpest horse on the grounds when the track closed four weeks ago. Not sure I want short odds on a horse that hasn't raced in a month.
Race 11: Non-winners $2,500 in last 5
(3) NO EASY DAY raced well in decent company at Freehold last time and now picks up Tetrick. The last time he was here in July, gelding was facing NW10000 company. (6) BRUCE’S MAGIC is a veteran who has done well here in the past and should enjoy the bottom level. (8) ANCLE & (7) UNLOADED N look capable on paper but neither has raced in over a month.
Race 12: Trackmaster Rating 74 or less
(1) NORTHERN ROCK takes the biggest class drop in the field and gets a very weak call in a field without much to like. (3) S MCKEE gets a barn and driver change but hasn't proven to be a very good horse. (7) NOTHERN JACK has some early speed for a driver that is known to gun horses to the front at times. (10) DRAMATIC POINT is a risky play but certainly is good enough to win.
Race 13: Non-winners $4,000 in last 5/TM Rating 80 or less
(2) SPICEBOMB tends to wake up in spots like this one but isn't the most reliable horse in the world. (5) ABERDEEN HANOVER is down in class and likely to be handled aggressively. (1) OUR POSITANO N put in a solid mile when last seen on this track. (8) SOHO CHELSEA A is another class-dropper who wouldn't be a surprise.
