FALL MEET STATS: 48-9-11-10 / $55.40 (-$40.60) BEST BETS: 4-3-0-0 / $19.40 (+11.40) SPOT PLAYS: 4-0-1-1 / $0.00 (-$8.00) BEST BET: CRYSTAL FASHION (9TH) SPOT PLAY: IN LOU OF MONEY (11th) Race 1: Non-winners $5,000-$7,500 ($8,851 L6) in last 5/TM 82.5 (NW L2 83.1) or less - Pick 5 (5) GRACELYN HANOVER added hobbles last time and stayed flat. That was a step in the right direction. Now she drops out of stakes company and into a spot where she should take charge. (6) SHINKANSEN tried to wire them last week and came up short. He remains a good fit at this level. (8) NYLANDER drops down and certainly has a big shot if the top one blows up. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Non-winners $10,500 (NW L3 $11,500) in last 5 or in 2022 (6) MY PAL JOE is back in the U.S. after a failed try versus tougher north of the border. Five-year-old has proven himself against this type and Smith has gotten along with him before. (3) ROCKIN THE ACES is another moving back down the class ladder. He's capable from on or just off the pace, so expect him to be reasonably close. (4) KOOTENAY SANTANNA debuts for Burke and will likely be bet hard but was just ok in his qualifier. He could win, though don't expect fair value. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Winners 2-4 (NW L3 5) races life - Survivor 7 You have to go back to August 10 but (4) QUICK SNAP's last try versus overnight horses resulted in a win. He had no shot last time from post 7 and was in against some top-10 sophomores in the start prior. (1) STONEBRIDGE REEF is one of the best horses on paper but he always seems to find ways to lose. (5) TWIN B DELUXE hasn’t been bad versus the best in New York and deserves at least a look here. Race 4: Non-winners $3,000 in last 5/TM 76.5 or less (5) MUSKINGUM raced well last time and gets some class relief now. (2) TEQUILA N ROSES stayed trotting and raced well last weekend. (8) ALL RISE fits very well with these and would be the one to beat if he had a catch-driver. Race 5: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/5/7 74.5/75/75.16) or less/NW2 in 2022 with 20 or more starts (3) DOC SEMALU jumped it off and lost all chance last Saturday but his prior form was fine. (5) BRUCE'S MAGIC is still looking for his first win of the year after putting up six wins in 2021. Ten-year-old's recent form is promising. (8) FIRE SHINE has good early speed and should be put in play. Race 6: Non-winners $20,000 in last 5 or 10 races life - $50K GTD Pick 4 (5) AMBASSADOR HANOVER beat up on conditioned foes last time out at Yonkers. This field seems right up his alley. (3) JL CRUZE marched down the road and showed guts along the way against somewhat similar foes last week. The King might not get as good of a setup this time. (2) BALENCIAGA has found his form and can certainly be a factor. Race 7: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L2 $8,376) in last 5/TM 83 (NW L2/5 83.81/84) (1) BIG CHIC MAGNET is back on the big track where he won his last two races and set a career-best mark. You may even get a bit of value on him with the presence of a pair of class-droppers in (4) DECISION DAY and (5) PALOMAR. Each of those foes have been closing nicely in recent weeks despite no wins. Race 8: TrackMaster 80 (NW L3/2L5/9 80.5/81.74/82.13) or $500 in last 5 - Pick 6 (6) CLIFFHANGER raced well in his first start back in this barn and he's had success here in the past. (4) ROCKS NOBLE ARTIST is razor sharp and missed by just a neck in this condition last time. (9) CINNAMACK was used hard and also almost delivered a week ago; post hurts here. Race 9: Non-winners $10,500 in last 5/TM 84.5 (NW L3 85) or less (9) CRYSTAL FASHION went a big mile to be second behind JL Cruze while returning from seven weeks on the sidelines. The post isn't ideal but he has the early speed to overcome. (6) FIX-IT-UP couldn't have looked more impressive blowing by a softer group last weekend. (5) CINDY MICHELLE double-drops in class tonight and would figure to bring a good effort. That said, she'll likely need a new lifetime best to win this race. Race 10: Non-winners $14,000 in last 5 or 2 races in 2022 (12+ starts)/TM 89 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 Both (3) CAPTAIN BARBOSSA and (2) ONE EIGHT HUNDRED gets into this race courtesy of the AE condition. The former raced reasonably well from post 10 following a multi-month layoff and should be ready to roll now in start two for Team Bongiorno. The latter also put in a good effort off the barn change and could improve in start two. (4) THE DARK SHADOW and (5) MAJOR FERNCO N are both sharp enough to menace should the top two come up short. Race 11: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3 $3,300) in last 5/TM 76.5 or less (3) IN LOU OF MONEY was used hard versus a better NW3000 group last Saturday and lacked anything at the end of the mile. This field also appears to lack a ton of early speed, which should ensure a good trip for him. (9) KAT moves into the Burke barn but owns a 4-for-85 career record. Will he be a new horse now? (5) ALKIPPE has been tackling better foes in some fast miles lately; form reversal time. Race 12: Non-winners $5,000-$7,500 in last 5/TM 79.5 (NW L3/L5 80/80.75) or less (8) APRIL AVA drops down a couple of levels and should be firing to the front. Unless something unexpected occurs, she could control this race through moderate fractions. (7) LA ALWAYS AMARTINI was a good second in the class last time and I can also see her leaving hard to secure a sweet pocket trip. (5) SUNDAY AFTERNOON was Pelling's choice of three in here and he drove the other two last out. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 13: Non-winners $20,000 in last 5 or 11 races life/TM 92 (NW L2 92.65) or less (3) LOU'S PEARLMAN was an easy winner when last exiting stakes company for an overnight race and I'd expect a big mile tonight. (4) BILLY CLYDE just missed a week ago but didn't appear quite as sharp as early in the summer. Maybe he needed a race back on the big track. (1) IMAGINARY LINE is as sharp as they come and will be ready to pounce if the top pair falter at all. Race 14: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/L5/L7 74.5/75/75.16) or less/NW 2 in 2022 (20+ starts) I'm not excited to bet this one and glad it falls outside of the Pick 4. (4) GRATEFUL KISS switches back to a catch-driver and seems highly likely to be cutting the pace. Unfortunately he's 0-for-20 on the year so buyer beware. (6) BACI BACI is sent out by trainer Mark Ford and his horses seem to find a way to awaken when in very cheap. (9) ONE MORE TRY comes off a nice effort and gets a good driver change. (2) MAKE IT BIG is another getting a good driver switch and he should be close to the action.
