Race 1: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace - Pick 5

(1) YER SO BAD has been racing well and should get away reasonably close with pylon position this week. Maybe Verruso will let the dust settle and brush to the front. (2) YAYAS HOT SPOT N comes off a decent effort in the class and has won before for DiCostanzo. (5) FERDINAND A seems likely to make the front without having to work that hard this week and perhaps he can work out a better trip after three straight weeks of 55 2/5 or less halves.

Race 2: Play Meadowlands Series for NW5000 (NW L2 $5,500) in last 4/TM 80.5 (NW L2/2L4 81/81.5) or less

(3) BET A BUNDLE came back from winter break and was caught in fast mile after fast mile. It's highly unlikely this race will go much faster than 1:52, which means his speed will be ample to play for a win spot. (5) ART SCAPING is clearly getting class relief and by all rights should awaken. (2) SHIP WRECK BEACH K hasn't been here in some time but when he was the results were good, though those races were in a cheaper class. (8) SEEUINNASHVILLE A has won here before and at least you know he'll be put in play.

Race 3: Non-winners $7,500 in last 5/TM 83.5 (NW L2/2L4 84/84.5) or less - Survivor 7

(7) SWEET TREASURE hasn't been able to seal the deal lately but she's supposed to take this field to task. Perhaps the presence of early speed just to her inside will force off the pace tactics that will prove fruitful. (4) ROCKNROLL NELLA has been racing well and she's fairly versatile. (6) CASH ROLL and (5) SHEZAFREAKLIKEME finished second and third in this class last time and they are both capable of firing off the gate.

Race 4: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 2 Pace

(3) ITS SHOWTIME was used hard and stopped last time but overcame a tough trip to win in this class two starts back. (6) BLOODHOUND took down an amateur field last weekend and nobody milks this class for money better than Silva. (1) PREPPY ART has been very sharp since the trainer change and this guy has plenty of experience over the track.

Race 5: Play Meadowlands Series for NW5000 (NW L2 $5,500) in last 4/TM 80.5 (NW L2/2L4 81/81.5) or less

(6) WHOLE LOTTA LOU seems like the most likely horse to gun to the front and I don't see much company tagging along for that experience. Five-year-old may not be the best horse in the field but he's the most capable of taking advantage of this situation. (2) MINDTRIP drops out of claimers where he has been racing just evenly. Veteran’s best is certainly good enough. (1) HAMMERING HANK keeps taking money and remains glued to the pylons until the stretch when it is too late to do any damage. He even skipped the Graduate leg at Mohawk. He can win but I'd want at least 3-1.

Race 6: $20,000-$25,000 Claiming Handicap - $50K GTD Pick 4

(1) RAPTORS FLIGHT N has been using his early speed to work out good trips and now owns three straight wins. While he is perhaps not that lock that he seems on paper, it is difficult to decipher which horse is going to step up to beat him. (5) BETTER THAN SOME has won two of three starts since the barn change and it will be interesting to see if he’s placed on the lead tonight. (4) I'M BURLINGTON N is sharp but has lacked a nose for the wire. The addition of Sears, who always seems to keep something in reserve, is interesting.

Race 7: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L2 $8,250) in last 4 or in 2023/TM 83.5 (NWL5 85.83) or less

(2) SONNY WEAVER N kept up nicely with better foes last week and seems to have landed in a good spot from post two. (4) AS ALWAYS finished a few lengths behind the top one last time in his first start for this barn. Perhaps they figure him out in start two and you know the price will be right with Ahle driving. (1) COMBUSTION is the best horse in the race. The issue is he is making his first start of the year - facing capable older foes - and will likely be handled more conservatively than others in the field. He could win but don't take even money. (10) LYONS PEGASUS was written into the race on the NW1500p/s portion of the condition. He has the early speed to overcome the outside draw and his last try at this level resulted in a win.

Race 8: Non-winners $14,000 in last 4 or 8 races life/TM 88 or less - Pick 6

(5) BALENCIAGA has no excuse for the loss at Yonkers but was certainly good in his start here two starts back. Five-year-old was always thought to have ability and this looks like a good shot to show it. (2) DELAYED HANOVER is certainly capable. Is this the week he gets over the top? (3) HARRY KNOWS IR can put up a big mile or throw in a dud; coin toss.

Race 9: Non-winners $20,000 in last 4 or 10 (NW L2 11) races life/TM 92 (NW L2 92.5) or less

This is a tricky race with many contenders and plenty of horses with speed that could make it quite interesting. (2) KOMODO BEACH has done his best work when he can make one huge move. From the inside post he could settle in and hopefully line up in a live flow at a price. (5) DEAN B HANOVER finished well on the switch to the big track last time, but he could be lost in the wagering. (8) A ROCKNROLL STAR is getting clear class relief tonight and it will all come down to how fast the pace is if the decision is made to gun to the front.

Race 10: $30,000-$40,000 Claiming Handicap - $50K GTD Pick 4

(6) TAM MAJOR A sprinted home but couldn't beat a well-rated winner last time. Let's look for him to be placed on the engine this week. (4) P L OZZY has been as sharp as they come and moves into a high percentage barn at the meet. (7) EFFINGHAM raced himself out of the condition at Harrington and now tries a new track. I wouldn't be shocked if he was up to the task.

Race 11: Non-winners $7,500 (NW 2L5 $8,530) in last 4/TM 83.5 (NW 2 since 7/15/22 83.95) or less

(7) SHINKANSEN will be firing off the wings of the gate and he tends to get braver in this class. (4) CHAKE just missed the last time she visited the nw7500 level and notice she was written in on the AE condition. (2) AMADOR has a chance but will likely be overbet on the change to Tetrick. (6) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES is always capable of winning or breaking; your call.

Race 12: Non-winners $5,000 in last 4/TM 77 or less draw inside

(4) LADY JETER stayed flat last time on the switch to the big track and now gets class relief as well. She's a serious candidate to awaken. (5) MASSIVE MATTER returns to this track after a steady effort at Tioga. Five-year-old is comfortable enough in this class. (8) DRIBBLING BI drops out of the same race as the top pick and finished nearly five lengths ahead of her that day. There will be value here on a good horse.

Race 13: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L2 $3,300) in last 4/TM 77.5 (NW L2/2L4 78/78.75) or less

(5) NITE TIME DEAL went a nice steady mile from a tough post when entered in this class last weekend. I'd expect to see more aggressive handling now. (1) P L PORTIA is in serious form and despite the slight bump in company, should be right there. (3) FIRST UP and (2) ROSEY TIME are both coming off competitive efforts in this class.
