CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 153-48-32-22 / $274.00 (-$32.00) BEST BETS: 12-8-1-2 / $31.90 (+7.90) SPOT PLAYS: 11-3-3-1 / $11.00 (-$11.00) BEST BET: UPTOWN LADY N (4th) SPOT PLAY: SPEEDY DOMINIC A (8th) Race 1: Series-NW $20,000 (NW 2L5 $24,651) in last 5 or 10 races life/TM 92 (NW L3/5 92.5/93) - Pick 5 (3) DRAGON SAID comes to town red-hot and early speed usually rules during the daylight hours. (1) ULTIMAROCA comes off a career-best mile. Four-year-old also has early speed and could be very tough. (4) HARAMBE DEO has found himself versus weaker lately and you know he has the class to step up. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: TrackMaster 77 (NW L3/2L5 77.5/78.33) or less Series (5) SUNSHINE’S FINEST hasn't exactly had a great year and the barn in general has been dull at the meet. That said, dropping out of the amateur series and picking up MacDonald could be just what the doctor ordered for this guy to turn things around. He really hasn't been that bad lately. (1) BNGS EXPRESS goes out for a good barn and seems likely to be firing out, but keep in mind he is 0-for-19 this year. (9) A B COLLINS has big early speed is the driver elects to use it. His best effort can certainly win here. Race 3: Series-NW $3,000 (NW L4 $3,671) in last 5/TM 76.5 (NW L3/5 77/77.5) or less - Survivor 7 (6) LIGHTNING LEIA comes to town sharp from Pocono and really doesn't face much in the way of formful foes. (7) SO DELIGHTFUL really should awaken against a field like this one. Outside posts haven't helped her chances lately. (2) WESTERN SHOWGIRL dropped to this class and got used up in the early pace last time. Race 4: Series-NW $3,000 (NW L4 $3,671) in last 5/TM 76.5 (NW L3/5 77/77.5) or less (5) UPTOWN LADY N returns to the big track at the basement level after a no shot effort at Pocono from post 8. Mare can toy with this field if on her game. (7) BRUSH N CRUSH and (9) PHELGON are both getting interesting barn changes here and new drivers as well. Race 5: Series-NW $10,500 (NW L3 $11,600) in last 5/TM 87.3 (NW L3/5 87.8/78.3) or less (7) MUSCLE FACTORY A seems to slowly be moving in the right direction and last week's effort was a bigger step forward. Let's take a shot. (2) WHOLE LOTTA LOU has speed, an inside post and good form. He also finished ahead of my top pick last week. (4) MARK WITH A K sprinted home in 25 3/5 a week ago. That alone is intriguing. (5) CAVIART LUCA has been racing reasonably well but I'll be using only underneath. Race 6: Series-NW $20,000 (NW 2L5 $24,651) in last 5 or 10 races life/TM 92 (NW L3/5 92.5/93) - $50K GTD Pick 4 (3) SHAKE THAT HOUSE raced well in defeat last time but should be helped tremendously by the inside post this week in what shapes up as a tough field. (5) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N went a career-best mile last time in his third start for these connections. A similar performance would make him a major player. (4) RUTHLESS HANOVER is certain to be a factor in the race but I'm off his bandwagon on the win end until he gets a class drop or a new set of hands at the controls. Race 7: Series-NW $10,500 (NW L3 $11,600) in last 5/TM 87.3 (NW L3/5 87.8/78.3) or less (9) I'M A BIG DEAL popped off a big mile last week to get back on the right track and while he drew worst tonight, he has the class to come through. (4) ON THE CARDS N gets an interesting driver change. (6) CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN adds Lasix. Could that help him finish his miles? Yes. Race 8: Non-winners $14,000 in last 5 or 2022/TM 89 or less - Pick 6 (3) SPEEDY DOMINIC A paced a gigantic mile on Monday at Gaitway in his first start for this barn. Notice Bongiorno took one over from the same connections in the sixth race and put a lifetime mark on him. (7) DE LOS CIELOS DEO drops down and moves in a couple of slots on the gate. (6) WHITECOOKIE has posted two solid efforts since a mini vacation and clearly fits with this group. Race 9: Non-winners $10,500 (NW L3 $11,600) in last 5/TM 84.5 (NW L3/4 85.30/85.50) or less (10) CHASE LOUNGE is a decent horse that has yet to put it all together. Lasix is added this week and I'll take a shot that it makes a difference. (5) FOX VALLEY EXPLOIT is back at a level where he has rarely missed the money. (2) STELLENBOSCH ships in razor sharp. Race 10: Open Handicap Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4 (2) BETTORS DONTTELL is back on his home turf where he posted a career-best mile two starts back. Any decent trip should give him a big shot in this close-knit field. (6) LET IT RIDE N doesn't throw in many bad efforts but he is reliant on a decent pace up front to set him up. (5) DA DELIGHTFUL looks for three straight and could be up to the task. Race 11: TrackMaster 79.85 (NW L3/2L5 80/80.80) or less (6) LINE EM UP improved in her second start for Harris with Lasix added. Let's stick with her and hope we see early speed tonight. (9) SHANGHAI SEELSTER rolled in her Burke barn debut. Will she take another step ahead tonight? (7) IDEATION HANOVER drops down and should bring a solid effort. (5) ALWAYS A MIRACLE goes for four straight but is hardly a lock. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 12: TrackMaster 77 (NW L3/2L5 77.5/78.33) or less Series (6) WHAT THE LUCK has found renewed life since the barn change to Estrada and should have a big shot to make it three straight wins. (1) ROCKABILLY CHARM is certainly sharp and with the right trip he could give the top pick a tussle. (5) GALACTIC GALLEON N could leave inside of the top pick and make him work a bit. If none of the others leave as well, a good trip could be in store. Race 13: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/L5 74.5/75.10) or less/Opt. $7,500 Claiming (2) BRUCE'S MAGIC has been racing slightly better of late and the shift to the inside of the gate will certainly help. (4) BIG BAD BILL looks awful on paper but notice the trainer change. Maybe the new connections can wake up this guy. (6) FOURBOLTMANE has big early speed and we do switch from an amateur driver to a catch-driver. (9) DEERFIELD BEACH and (10) PURPLE SKY hail from the two highest percentage barns in the field.
