BEST BET: STONEBRIDGE REEF (2nd)
SPOT PLAY: MONTEFALCO N (10th)
Race 1: GSY 1 Pace - Pick 5
(2) BRONSONS DELIGHT has been caught in some fast races lately. While I'm not in love with him, there really isn't much early speed in this field and he should be able to stick close from the inside post. (1) OUR THIRD ROCK almost has to come away close to the front in this field but his 1-for-60 record the last two years is hard to swallow. Similarly, (6) BRAZEN BRAZILIAN seems like the most like horse to flash early speed in a field lacking that quality but he’s 0 for his last 49. Good luck in here!

Race 2: Winners 1-3 races life/Maidens draw inside
(3) STONEBRIDGE REEF won three starts back, faced a much better field two back and was a victim of a slow pace last time. Short field is perfect for this guy as he can sit and pounce. (1) ALL ABOUT THE HUNT went some ambitious fractions at Gaitway Monday and was done late but none in the field were talented enough to come get him. He's got a shot in here but I'd want at least 4-1 to take a shot. (2) CAPTAINGIDDYUPNGO chased #1 in a qualifier last time. If he's ready following a short freshening, he has a shot.
Race 3: GSY 1 Pace - Survivor 7
(4) LYDIAS LIBERTY is a fresh face to this series and she looks to be fast enough to play here. She's been hampered with outside posts lately and should enjoy the mid-pack position if she can handle the boys. (3) CAUSWAY finds a great spot to hustle to the front. If those are the tactics he should be sitting close. (9) VILLAGE CHAMP will need some luck from post 9 but sometimes these amateur races get a bit "western" and set up for a closer. Cano is never shy about making a bold move on the final turn.
Race 4: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races or $22,500 life/Maidens draw inside
(6) PEYTON HANOVER looked good in the NJSS preliminary legs before running into a killer field in the final. This group should be right up her alley. (3) MORE THAN EVER raced well to kick off her season and could certainly show more. (4) PENELOPE J displayed some improvement last time; more this week?
Race 5: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L3 $8,250) in last 5/TM 83 (NW L3/5 83.5/84) or less
(3) LINNYCALLEDFRANKIE doesn't appear to have great form but his last couple of starts really weren't that bad and if you dig into the competition lines over his last handful of tries it is quite salty. Four-year-old has some upset potential and the price should be juicy. (2) I’M A BIG DEAL is at a level where he's supposed to awaken from his slumber. (8) BOBCAT BAY drops down the class ladder and is another wake-up candidate.
Race 6: GSY 1 Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4
(7) DREAM OUT LOUD N is razor sharp right now, posting two victories from post 10 in his last three starts. Driver change here as Beltrami isn't driving shouldn't cost him too much. (3) BRUSH N CRUSH comes off a decent attempt. He can save ground and rally late for one of the top amateurs. (9) FERDINAND A is unlucky to some extent because he drew outside of the top pick and that could hurt his typical early speed try. Still, he rarely misses a check in the amateur races.
Race 7: Non-winners $14,500 (NW L3 $15,400) in last 5 or 2022 or 6 races life/TM 87 or less
(6) SERMON drops out of stakes competition and may finally have a chance to shine. He's often at the mercy of the pace scenario but confirmed outside speed in #'s 8 and 9 should help his cause. (3) RATTLE MY CAGE would probably be the chalk here with a regular catch-driver. I'd take a shot that Sarah Svanstedt can get the job done at a much better price. (9) JL CRUZE has two recent wins and basically stole both races on the engine. If he makes the lead here it may not be easy with a speed horse to his inside. I respect his chances but will probably play against at what could be short odds.
Race 8: GSY 2 Pace - Pick 6
(7) SHEIKH YABOOTY N finds a pretty cozy spot considering the horses she has been facing lately. Can she beat the boys? I think yes. (3) TUXEDO BAY went crazy-fast last time and got nailed in the stretch. A slightly more patient steer can make the difference. (2) ROCKABILLY CHARM loses his driver to #1 because he trains that horse, but this guy is super sharp and only needs a reasonable trip to threaten.
Race 9: Non-winners $20,000 (NW L3 $22,000) in last 5/TM 92 or less
(2) RUTHLESS HANOVER came up short in a 1:48 mile versus a horse that went on to a gutsy win in the Graduate series last weekend. I'd stick with him at 2-1 or higher. (7) BACKSTREET SHADOW has shown some signs of age this year after a string of seasons near the top of the Open ranks. He gets clear class relief this week and we should find out what's in the tank. (1) STONE HANOVER is very sharp but will likely need a career-best mile to win.
Race 10: GSY 2/3 Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4
(6) MONTEFALCO N has been getting smaller checks lately and perhaps that has you thinking this guy can’t win, but check out the winning times of his races - 1:49; 1:48 3/5; 1:49 3/5 - to get a clearer picture of what he was up against. Seven-year-old gets a good amateur driver who is great at gunning off the gate and working out a trip, which would be perfect for this guy. (4) BANK SEA has been racing well for some time and he's quite versatile. (2) TJ BLAST comes off a win in this series and like (9) THINK OF GALAXIES, hails from a top driver/trainer combination in the amateur ranks.
Race 11: Inside Harness for NW $10,500 (NW L3 $11,600) in last 5/TM 87.3 (NW L3/5 87.8/88.3) or less
(7) CAVIART LUCA showed some of his class last time when he just missed at this level from post 9. He should be firing out again. (3) SAYING GRACE N drops for a barn that tends to excel with that move. (2) ON THE CARDS N switches back to the track where he set his career-best mark of 1:49 1/5 and gets a young driver that should put him in play.

Race 12: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/2L5 74.5/75.98) or less
(6) WHAT THE LUCK went from up-the-track to the winner's circle on the trainer change to Estrada. There is no reason he won't win again. (7) GRATEFUL KISS just missed behind the top pick from post 10 last time and does draw in a few spots. (1) DOCTOR BUTCH returns to the big track at the basement level and should have a chance to shine.
Race 13: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3 $3,475) in last 5 or $1 L4/TM 77.5 (Not 3rd L3/5 78.5/79.15) or less
(1) LINE EM UP couldn't hack it from post 8 versus much better in his first start for Harris. Four-year-old is down in class now and should awaken in a big way. (2) ALWAYS A MIRACLE has won two straight since the barn change. (7) BE BEST has been very consistent, hitting the board 10 times in 19 races this year. (9) SEZANA N returns from a brief break at a much lower condition; capable.
