Race 1: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace - Pick 5

(5) STOLEN ART hasn’t shown very much lately but does have the excuse of starting from outside posts. This amateur race is about as soft as they come and I wouldn’t be shocked if he perked up at a nice mutuel. (2) THNDRFRMTHETHRON N has been facing better in his recent amateur tries and should be forwardly placed here. (6) HARRY HANOVER has been racing reasonably well of late. I’ll be using him at least underneath. (10) ATTA BOY DAN won his last start in this class but now must navigate post 10.

Race 2: Non-winners $3,000-$5,000 in last 4/TM 80 (NW L2 80.6) or less - Survivor 7

(8) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP comes off a very nice effort at Pocono and now gets into a very easy spot on the strength of his Trackmaster rating. She really should get the job done. (4) TWIN B ECHO gets some class relief of her own after a decent try on the engine here. (7) BLANK CHEEK needs some pace help to be successful but certainly has some form.

Race 3: Non-winners $3,000 in last 4/TM 77 or less

(5) SHINKANSEN has yet to come through since the barn change but he has been trotting about two seconds faster. Tonight might be the spot where he finally gets back over the hump. (1) SWAN CAPTAIN went an improved mile against cheaper at Tioga and perhaps that helped build up some confidence. (6) UNIQUE KEMP is clearly going well now but she’ll need some tempo help to set up her late rally.

Race 4: Non-winners $5,000 in last 4 or $1,023 p.s. in 2023/24 or $10,050 in 2023/24 - Pick 6

(4) J M MANDAMIN plunges in class and really has no excuses for failure. (1) LYRICAL GENIUS A returns to the big track in a class where he is typically competitive. (3) HUNT FOR CASH made an uncharacteristic break last time. I’m willing to give him one more look. (2) BARGAIN SHOPPER couldn’t handle the top class at Freehold but should fit in nicely with this group if the top one doesn’t blow them away.

Race 5: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace

(7) WARRAWEE YANKEE finds a field with plenty of early speed types to set him up from about mid pack in what appears to be a competitive event. (8) YER SO BAD is another confirmed closer. If the top pick ends up first-over and he’s following, watch out! (6) WAY TO CLOSE will be heading to the top and no one would be shocked if he wired the field. (4) SEEUINNASHVILLE A is down in class this week and could flash some early speed.

Race 6: Trackmaster 83.25 (NW L2/2L4/L8 84/84.5/84.75) or less - $50K GTD Pick 4

(2) BOUNTY HUNTER toured the track from the back of the pack in his first start since July. Five-year-old has the ability to put up a quick mile and this barn has been firing on all cylinders all meet. (3) TWIN B SEAMONSTER took a giant step up the class ladder last weekend and simply couldn’t handle the task at hand. Here he drops into a more realistic spot and should have every chance to succeed. (5) TENNESSEE SMOOTH got caught in a very fast mile last time. This guy is certainly sharp enough to get a big piece.

Race 7: Trackmaster 72 (NW L2/2L4 72.5/73) or less Series/Opt. $7,500 Clm.

(4) HELLO ROCKY faces a field with plenty of potential early speed players. If the pace is as hot as I expect, this guy could be firing hard late at nice odds. (1) ENTRENCH improved nicely in his second start for this barn. Expect him to come with another good mile. (8) BETTER THAN SOME has a bit of class and showed it with a victory last week. A repeat is not out of the question if the trip works out.

Race 8: Non-winners $7,500 (NW 2L5 $8,380) in last 4 or $1,245 p.s. in 2024 - Pick 5

(1) MAD MAX HANOVER has clearly turned the corner as evidenced by his last two starts. With Tetrick out of town that means we should get a better price tonight. (3) SOUTHWIND GENDRY drops a notch on the class ladder and did pace a 1:49 in defeat last time. Millionaire will come around sooner or later. (6) MYSWEETBOYMAX is sharp and capable given the right trip. I can see using him on a ticket or two at big odds. (4) WHOLE LOTTA LOU won in 1:49 last time.

Race 9: Winners 1-2 (NW L2 or 3YO 3) races or $20,000 (NW L2 or 3YO $37,500) life/Maidens draw inside

(2) BATH BOMB just missed versus a nice filly in Flawless last time. Per Engblom trainee should be near the front with a big chance to win. (9) SWEET GAL lost to Geocentric last time, so there is no shame in that. In her prior start she chased slow fractions. There seems to be some talent here. (3) VIKI HILL seems to have found herself in May at Pocono. Can she parlay that success here?

Race 10: Non-winners $20,000 (NW L2 $22,000) in last 4/TM 92.55 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4

(6) OAKWOOD ARDAN IR came back from a brief break in super form and he was written into this class on the TM condition. His typically off the pace style could leave him in a bad spot but there should be enough pace to give him a fair chance. (5) AMERICAN DEALER N draws inside the main contenders and should be firing out here. (7) PRIMARY COLORS is as sharp as any in this field and should also be put in play early in the mile. (9) ALLYWAG HANOVER raced a bit better than I expected first time out. He’s a wildcard here starting from the outside since he seems likely to race from behind.

Race 11: Trackmaster 80 (NW L2/2L4 80.5/81.2) or less Series

(6) PINEBUSHDRAGONROLL rolled down the road at first asking for new trainer Jenn Bongiorno and there is no reason he won’t repeat coming back in the same class. (1) BUCKEYE EMERY should push away from the inside and sit a reasonable trip behind the top pick. (7) THRESHOLD needs some pace help to set him up but at least the price will be very fair if you think that can happen. There are a few speed types that could help him out.

Race 12: Trackmaster 84 (NW L2/2L4/L8 84.5/85.35/86) or less

(1) AVF CLAIRE went a relaxing mile last week in her return from a short break. Four-year-old should be ready to show much more now. (2) IN THE SPOTLIGHT N has speed and form along with an inside post to work with tonight. (10) FADE OUT returns here in a class where she has a string of solid miles; needs a trip from post 10. (6) MISS CHANTILLY N is in a winning spot but seems to be off form. Can she turn it around?

Race 13: Trackmaster 72 (NW L2/2L4 72.5/73) or less Series/Opt. $7,500 Clm.

(8) NEVER EASY Z TAM rallied well from far back last week and I can make a case that maybe a change of tactics are in the offing here versus a mostly formless field. (3) JUST A ROCKET MAN takes a steep drop in company but has the trainer in the bike; mixed feelings. (2) XMARXTHESPOT should easily get around the #1 and sit close to the action. Still, he hasn’t won in some time so a minor award seems more likely.

Race 14: Trackmaster 76.5 (NW L2/2L4/L6 77/77.7/78.25) or less

(9) LETS RYDE GIRL has the early speed to make the front from this post and notice the last time she raced in this class her off odds were 4-5. (3) TESLA POWER hasn’t missed the board in some time but also can’t seem to get over the top; using underneath. (4) SHAKE IT TWICE was a bit better last time from off the pace; trip threat. (5) OUR SHELL BELLE somehow found a seam and charged home for the win last time; another threat with trip.
