MEET STATS: 246-55-38-35 / $333.60 (-$158.40) BEST BETS: 18-9-3-2 / $33.20 (-2.80) SPOT PLAYS: 18-4-3-2 / $30.20 (-$5.80) BEST BET: GOOD ROCKIN (13th) SPOT PLAY: IM A POWERPLAY A (7th) Race 1: $20,000-$25,000 Claiming Handicap - Pick 5 (4) LUCK N ROLL K has found his form at Monticello and Saratoga. Seven-year-old has done well here in this class before and two of his three wins in 2021 came over this surface. (7) WINDSONG JACK has been racing well and also has the speed to make the top. Perhaps off the claim he'll be even sharper. (2) CASINO BAGS ANSO is another out-of-towner coming in with form. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) races life/Maidens (7) FIGHT SONG finished third but for my money looked the best of the top three in the field. Sent out by Trainer of the Year Nifty Norman, this Kadabra 3-year-old could be prepping for Ontario Sire Stakes or be ready to win; watch the warm-ups. (4) JULA PRO HANOVER seems to be on the right track with Lasix and hobbles added; using. Tetrick waited until deep stretch to ask (3) PRECISE FASHION in his last qualifier and he finished willingly and just ahead of the top pick, though he was passed right after the wire. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Winners 2-4 (NW L3 5) races life/NW2 draw inside - Survivor 7 (7) PRETTY RICKI went the conservative route last time and came up a bit short in a very fast mile. He looks like the horse to beat in a fairly strong race for the class. (3) MAJORLY SEXY A made a strong move to get into contention but simply had too much to do and weakened some late. With the start under his belt this 6-year-old maiden could be ready for more. (8) WHOLE LOTTA LOU raced well last time in his first start since October; using in the Pick 4. (5) STIENAMS BEACH finished willingly behind some strong competition in his last qualifier. Still, he figures to be short in his first start since July 2020. Race 4: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L3 $8,250) in last 5/TM 83 (NW L3/5 83.5/84.88) (4) STONEDUST gets a touch of class relief tonight and while he's certainly not my favorite horse because he loves to burn money, this looks like the right spot. (2) HEZA REAL DIAMOND looks like the speed of the race and we know he's as fast as any in here. The contrarian in me sees that if he gets just a small check a class drop will come next week; mixed feelings. (7) ROCKIN THE ACES drops out of the same class as the top pick and actually finished ahead of him when they last met. (1) I'LL DRINK TO THAT gave up on the Borgata experiment in a hurry. Will the big track perk him up? (5) TAM MAJOR A missed by just a head in this condition last weekend. Race 5: Non-winners $10,500 (NW L3 $11,550) in last 5 or $1,825 P/S in 2021-22/TM 87 (NW L3 87.5) (3) PALOMAR was a good second last time and clearly enjoys this level. Let's stick here in anticipation of a good price since (1) MY PAL JOE is dropping down and will almost certainly be pounded at the windows. (7) I’M A BIG DEAL is a fairly consistent performer at this level. Race 6: Non-winners $14,000 (NW L3 $15,400) to $20,000 in last 5 or 8 races /TM 90 - $50K GTD Pick 4 (7) SCIROCCO ROB rolled to the easiest of scores last week with Callahan in the bike versus easier. Despite the tougher competition, the results should be similar in the end. He's an Open trotter at his best and the rest don't play in that ocean. (3) DOUBLE ACCOUNT looks good if you toss the break last time and the price should be right. (6) KENZIESKY HANOVER comes off a win in the class as the chalk. Race 7: TrackMaster 80.5 (NW L3/5 81/81.5) or less (4) IM A POWERPLAY A elected to take back from post 10 last time following a five-week break in action. Still, he came home in 26 2/5 in a steady mile and all systems should be on go now from post 4. (2) PARTY BOY also gets some post relief this week. He's a capable horse in the right spots and he seems to be coming into form. (5) CAVIART SARGENT gets a switch to the team of Drennan and Brennan; improvement possible. Race 8: $35,000-$44,000 Claiming Handicap - Pick 6 There isn't a horse in this race which would surprise me on the win end. Let's try (2) ROGERTHAT BLUECHIP. He took some air in this class last time and almost won. (4) WINNING LINC has the early speed to make the front and the form/class to get the job done. (7) MINDTRIP does his best work near the lead and has avoided those tactics recently. Will we see speed tonight? (9) COLOSSAL STRIDE A moves into the Norman barn and qualified reasonably well. Clearly he's the fastest horse in the field, but he hasn't raced since August and lacks early speed. Race 9: Non-winners $20,000 in last 5 or 9 (NW L3 10) races life/TM 92 or less (4) VETTEL N has found his mojo in recent weeks and really should take this field to task if he can keep it going. (1) CHASER HANOVER tried to rally on the outside last week but like so many others he just couldn't quite get there. If the top one falters this guy can do. (6) ROCKIN SPEED rode the cones to pick up a huge win at 51-1. The trip won't be that smooth this time and the odds will be much lower, but why can't he compete again? (5) BETTOR MEMORIES has a few starts under his belt now after taking some time off and don't be shocked if he tries to roll to the front off the gate. Race 10: Winners 5-7 races life - $50K GTD Pick 4 (1) TRUFFLE DOG has clearly found new life with Lasix added as he couldn't have looked better last weekend. If he can put up a repeat effort they'll have a hard time beating him. (4) MULLINAX was a good second behind the top pick last time. (7) UCANTTOUCHTHIS woke up with a big mile on the trainer change to Burke. This group is much tougher and Gingras chose (2) HIPPESTCATINTOWN, so maybe that means something? Race 11: TrackMaster 77.5 (NW L3/5 78/78.5) or less (1) ROCKABILLY CHARM seems to have found a hole in the TrackMaster system as he's won twice and finished second once in his last four starts in the class. Another free ride at this level? (4) TUAPEKA TRICK N wasn’t going anywhere from post eight last time. He picks up Dunn here and should also be tighter coming back in the normal seven days. (2) DEERFIELD BEACH blazed down the road versus softer last Saturday. He can play with these, though I'd prefer him underneath. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 12: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L3 $8,250) in last 5/TM 83 (NW L3/5 83.5/84.88) (4) GODS SPIRIT N admittedly double-jumps in class on paper but really catches a soft group for this class. There is no reason this Down Under charge can't win again. (3) MICKEYS SPIRIT adds Lasix to the equation after stopping at Freehold last time. (5) MANHOLMES was in a much, much tougher spot last week while racing for the first time since December. He’s worth a look here at a price. Race 13: Non-winners $2,500 (NW L3 $2,750) in last 5/NW $3,005 who are not 3rd or better L3 (7) GOOD ROCKIN was used hard last time while facing a field of foes who would be 3-5 in this spot. There are no excuses for failure this week. (8) BARBADOS plunges in class but gets unlucky to find #7 in the field. He'll need his best to win and even then it may not be good enough. (3) CAPTAINOFROCKNROLL has been closing well of late. (5) ALLGONOWHOA exits claimers like #8 and figures to bring a good effort.
