(2) LYONS PRIDE picked up a few positions in the final quarter of a TrackMaster 77 or Less test a week ago and slides in from the nine-hole to post two. (8) ER VEGAS is very sharp with three straight on-the-board finishes and just missed by a nose in this class last week. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 10000-12500CLM HCP Pace (9) SELECT FRIDAY starts from the outside and comes off two dull efforts at Freehold, but maybe he just didn't like the half-mile track as he had a second and a win against $15,000 claimers at Harrah's Philadelphia and the Meadowlands prior to that. (2) SOUTHWIND DREDGE is moving up in class from the $7,500 claimers but is doing so with a runner-up finish and a victory in his last two outings for a barn that's heated up. (8) RACING MONEY took a shuffle last Saturday but closed well to get a second-place result. He tallied at this level on January 12. PM Races LT Trot (3) GLOBAL BELIEVER S drops out of the Open at the Meadowlands and Dover and gets reunited with driver Andy McCarthy. He's also making his second start on Lasix for trainer Per Engblom. (8) LITTLE EXPENSIVE lost all chance in the Open last Saturday when he made an early break. He was racing very well prior to that, though, and packs enough early speed that the bad post shouldn't bother him. (2) SOME CHAPTER is riding a three-race streak of on-the-board results, including two straight at this level. He moves in from the nine-hole to post two this time. Race 4 - Play Meadowlands Series Leg 1/NW2000L4 Pace (4) GLOBAL CRUSH exits much tougher classes down at Dover for this one and picks up David Miller. (2) HEREITTIZ didn't threaten from post eight last Saturday night but was a closing third at this level prior to that and moves way inside on the gate. (7) TANKALICIOUS started his 4-year-old campaign with a win against NW2000L4 company but hasn't hit the board since. He did take some wagering attention last week but was unable to rally into a pretty pace-less race off excess cover. Race 5 - NW7500L4/TrackMaster Rating 83.10 or Less as of 2-20-24/NW4 Ext. PM Races LT Trot (5) CHALLENGER returns from Yonkers off a win and a third over there and raced well in a second-place finish at the Meadowlands on January 27. He gets a driver switch to Todd McCarthy here. (6) BLUEBIRD BISHOP has been racing in tougher classes at Yonkers and Pocono in his last two starts and won when last seen at the Meadowlands on the 19th of January. (4) CALL ME DANI gives trainer Chris Lakata two in here to go along with BLUEBIRD BISHOP. She scored against NW7500L4 foes at The Big M on December 22 of last year and went a long way on the engine before ending up fourth most recently at Yonkers. Race 6 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 Ext. PM Races LT/5YO & Under 50000CLM/4YO TrackMaster Rating 83.53 May Enter and Draw Inside Pace ***$50,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 Pool*** (6) SHEER TERROR scored in his return to action on February 3 and then was a very strong second to the blazing-hot Oakwood Ardan two weeks ago. He doesn't face anybody that imposing tonight and should deliver. (3) CENTURY INSPECTOR comes in off a sick scratch but was fourth in that Oakwood Ardan/SHEER TERROR race on 2-10 and recently added Lasix. (2) MIDNIGHT THUNDER is stepping up from the NW2 level but has a second and a win in his last two appearances and gets another chance with Dexter Dunn. Race 7 - TrackMaster Series Leg 2/TrackMaster Rating 80.01 or Less as of 2-20-24 Pace (9) NEEDHAM HANOVER drew poorly but overcame post ten to tally in a $15,000 claiming handicap race a week ago and will need a good result here to make the final as he wasn't in the first leg of this series. (8) LOVETHEWAYYOULIE has fired in all of his starts since joining Stacy Chiodo's barn, and although he does move up from the TrackMaster 77's, I'll include given his sharp form. (2) KNOCKIN OUT finished a close third to LOVETHEWAYYOULIE last Saturday and is making his third start back after some time off. Race 8 - NW7500L4 Pace (7) BETTOR NOT TALK rolled to a facile victory the last time he raced in this class back on November 18 of last year and gets reunited with Todd McCarthy for the first time since then. (2) TORRID SAINT A has raced at much higher levels than this at Saratoga and the Meadowlands so far in 2024. Add in that he starts from an inside post, and I will include. (1) DRAGONONTHEBEACH was fifth in a NW10000L4 test a week ago and now drops and starts from the pole in his second try back after a layoff. Race 9 - TrackMaster Series Leg 2/TrackMaster Rating 80.01 or Less as of 2-20-24 Pace (5) WARRAWEE TOTAL closed well to hit the board two and three starts back and then had zero luck last week as he was locked in with no racing room. I'll swing in hopes of a smoother trip and continued value. (1) HOMESTRETCH WES showed his sharp form again a week ago as he overcame an extended two-wide journey to finish second. He already owns wins at this level on 1-13 and 2-10. (3) BOILER MAKER disappointed in a sixth-place finish as the favorite in the same race HOMESTRETCH WES comes out of from last Saturday, but I imagine you'll get a better price this time in his second start out of a new barn. Race 10 - 20000-30000CLM HCP Pace ***$50,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 Pool*** (5) GENTLEMANJIM II IE owns a win in this class back on January 13 and comes out of a high-percentage barn. He returns to the Meadowlands tonight after showing speed and ending up third at Pocono last Saturday. (9) MARCUS SEELSTER hasn't been able to hold on after doing most of the work on the front-end the last two weeks. I'll include but try and beat him for the win. (7) HUNT FOR CASH tracked MARCUS SEELSTER a week ago and out-kicked him to get the victory. That was his second straight triumph at the Meadowlands, and he also found the winner's circle at Dover in late January. Race 11 - NW14000L4 or in 2024/TrackMaster Rating 89.5 or Less as of 2-20-24 Pace (1) AMERICAN DEALER N qualified well on 2-10 and backed that up with a closing fourth-place effort at this level last Saturday. I think he'll offer a better price than he otherwise would due to the presence of (2) OAKWOOD ARDAN IR, who is undefeated in the U.S. thus far but is facing the toughest field he has since coming over from Great Britain. (10) STELLAR YANKEE might be the sharpest horse at the track right now but is stuck out in post ten. I will toss him in underneath as I greatly respect his current form. Race 12 - Play Meadowlands Series Leg 1/NW2000L4 Pace (8) STRAIGHT UP COOL got motoring in the stretch last week but just ran out of racetrack. The connections of this horse recently took his hobbles off, and he has a good history with that move earlier in his career. (6) RANDOM HANOVER performed well against NW2500L5's at Harrah's Philadelphia on 12-31-23 and versus NW3000L5's at the Meadowlands on 1-12. He has been facing tougher since then. (1) MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING won in this class back on January 19 and returns from Freehold tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 13 - NW5000L4 Pace (2) DE LOS CIELOS DEO has been off since 2-3 after being scratched on February 10, but he looked very good in a victory in his last appearance and obviously has a very good history at the Meadowlands through his career. (7) WHOLE LOTTA LOU slides down a notch from the NW7500L4 level off a third-place effort a week ago. (4) SOUTHWIND SAMBUCCA finds a softer spot tonight than he has been in and gets post relief to go with it. Race 14 - NW2 Ext. PM Races or 23000LT Pace (4) TENNESSEE SMOOTH flew in the final quarter last week to go from eighth to third, and I would be very surprised if he isn't handled much more aggressively tonight. (5) COUNTRY SQUIRE hit the board in this class on 1-12 and 2-10 and gets to team up with Jordan Stratton again. (3) NO WORDS was scratched a week ago but won at this level prior to that and has been in good form overall since that qualifier on the 20th of January.
