MEET STATS: 191-72-33-28 / $308.80 (-$73.20) BEST BETS: 15-10-0-2 / $28.80 (-1.20) SPOT PLAYS: 15-2-2-5 / $7.40 (-$22.60) BEST BET: LITERL LAD HANOVER (11th) SPOT PLAY: LUCK N ROLL K (8th) Race 1: Non-winners $10,000 (NW L3 $11,000) in last 5 or 7 races/$70K life/TM 88 or less - Pick 5 (5) BETTORS DONTTELL has gotten better with each start in the Burke barn and anything close to a repeat of his last mile would result in a sure win. (4) BETTERROCK went a strong mile here in his first start for Bongiorno and should benefit by the return to the east coast. (1) TORONTO was in over his head last time. This group lacks the same class. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Non-winners $14,000 in last 5/TM 90 (NW L3 90.5) or less (5) STONE HANOVER qualified back sharply after getting scratched-sick a few weeks ago and seems to have landed in a good spot. (6) SHNITZLEDOSOMETHIN has missed even more time than the top pick but qualified even better. Classy 6-year-old is the one to beat if ready. (2) BETTER TAKE THAT steps up off a win but can go with these on his best. Race 3: Non-winners $14,000 in last 5/4YO not 3rd or better L4/3YO NW 9 - Survivor 7 (7) RICH AND MISERABLE steps up off a win but really doesn't catch a difficult group. Six-year-old has the class to wire these. (1) KINGS COUNTY hasn't really found his best since coming back from the long vacation. He took another few weeks off before this start and that could help him. (4) STORMONT VENTOR and (5) P L NOTSONICE both drop out of a tougher race and either is capable on their best. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 4: Non-winners $4,000 (NW L3 $4,400) in last 5/TM 82 (NW 2 of L3 82.57) or less This field has more questions than answers. (7) ROCKATHON was used in the pace last time and not bad his previous two starts. Another class drop this week could be just what he needs to awaken. (4) DUSTYLANEGOLIATH went a big qualifier at Freehold in his first start for new connections. He's capable of putting up a huge mile but will likely be overbet. (2) SWEET TRUTH is the other class-dropper in the field and one that should be healthy odds; hmmm. Race 5: Non-winners $7,000 (NW L3 $7,850) in last 5/TM 85 or less (6) PADUKA N hasn't been particularly sharp but does take a key drop in class this week. Seven-year-old knows the way to the winner's circle here and should offer value here. (7) QUICK SHOT was in against tough company at Plainridge including Always A Miki, a name that is familiar at The Big M. Dexter Dunn should put this guy in play. (2) BET YOU was in versus slightly easier than #7 at Plainridge but does get a switch to the Burke barn; overbet? (4) SOMBODYITREASURE can be a factor if on his best game. Race 6: $75,000/$100,000 Claiming Handicap Leg 1 - $50K GTD Pick 4 This class produced a huge upset last week and I'll look for history to repeat itself with (4) PALOMAR. The 6-year-old dealt with traffic trouble and finished up willingly last time despite missing three weeks of action. His best is good enough to win. (8) KOMODO BEACH has won in this class in consecutive starts and is clearly the one to beat despite the bad post. (6) BLACK CHEVRON N has proven capable of taking air and powering on. Dunn now gets in the bike and he should fit this guy like a glove. Race 7: Non-winners $10,000 (NW L3 $11,000) in last 5 or 7 races/$70K life/TM 88 or less (5) HARAMBE DEO was used hard away from the gate to get in behind the 3-5 favorite and strangely decided to pull the pocket early on that foe. Let's look for him to take charge this week and try to wire them like three starts back. (7) ITALIAN DELIGHT N lures McCarthy off my top pick and #8, so take that into consideration as you see fit. He was second in this class last time, though the outside post might hurt a bit here. (8) JK WILL POWER raced ok from an impossible spot in his first start for new trainer Andrew Harris. If he can tap into this guy's back-class, watch out. Race 8: $20,000/$30,000 Claiming Handicap - Pick 6 (9) LUCK N ROLL K closed well to be second last time for a barn that seems to be quietly waking up. The post isn't ideal but he's as fast as any of these; Dunn's choice over #3 and #6. (1) FRONTIER ROLLO has really perked up with Lasix added at Plainridge. The fact that he has done well at Hoosier in the past means the big track shouldn't be an issue. (8) MINDTRIP has won three straight in this class but who knows if he'll keep the streak going for new connections. (2) HOOSIER SHARK moves into the Burke barn. If some of the others under the same circumstances do well earlier on the card, move this guy up a notch. Race 9: $75,000/$100,000 Claiming Handicap Leg 1 (6) SUGARTOWN was looped away from the gate and used to the front last time. He also saw some early stretch traffic and was outkicked by fresher foes late to finish fourth. He should have a big say here. (3) LIKE CLOCKWORK picks up Dunn as he ships in from Yonkers. Six-year-old knows this track well and could step up with the right trip. (10) J M MANDAMIN & (9) SAVE ME A DANCE are in for the highest tags and either could gun off the gate here and be a major factor. Race 10: $150,000 Claiming/TM 92 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 (2) VETTEL N rolled through the upper claiming ranks here in September and got a deserved two-month vacation. He prepped perfectly for this in the Open last time and should be ready for a big mile. (4) STARS ALIGN A comes off a nice win and figures to be aggressively handled. It could be a one-two finish for Team Bongiorno here. (8) LET IT RIDE N drops in for a claiming tag, which is a bit concerning that expectations for this guy have fallen. That said, his best is certainly good enough. Race 11: Fall Harvest Series Final (1) LITERL LAD HANOVER charged when moved off the cones last week and ran into his cover which caused the break. He's clearly best in this field with any reasonable trip. (10) WHAT'S YOUR BEEF got run down by the top pick last time. Post 10 isn't ideal, but there doesn't appear to be a ton of early speed in front of him. (6) TUAPEKA TRICK N dealt with all kinds of stretch traffic last Saturday and had plenty of pace in the tank. (3) LINEMAKER missed five weeks and raced well; more now? Race 12: Preferred Trot/NW $20,000 (NW L3 $22,000) in last 5 draw inside (6) BACK OF THE NECK charged home to just miss in the TVG and was a solid second behind Ecurie D in the Breeders Crown. Zeron should get this guy in a live cover flow and have every chance to power by late. (3) JL CRUZE draws inside this week and should be controlling the pace. If they let him get away soft, watch out. (5) CHIN CHIN HALL finished ahead of the top pick with a better post last time; threat if he gets the jump on #6. Race 13: Non-winners $2,500 in last 5/TM 79 (NW L3 79.5) or less (2) ROCKEYED OPTIMIST has been finding his form as he drops down the class ladder. Ten-year-old visits the basement this week and has a reasonable shot of stepping up. (6) LYONS LEGACY comes down from Plainridge in fine form and looks like a fit. (7) LOVE YOURSELF has been stuck in outside posts on smaller tracks. Don't be surprised if he shows more here. (1) JUMPING JAKE is another class-dropper getting an inside post this week.
