MEET STATS: 41 - 179 / $281.00 (-$77.00) BEST BETS: 6 - 14 / $23.20 (-$4.80) SPOT PLAYS: 4 - 14 / $75.80 (+$47.80) BEST BET - FRANCO TOTEM N (10th) SPOT PLAY - DRAZZMATAZZ (13th) Race 1 - NW11500L5/Winners Base Class NW8000 or Less Last Start/30000CLM Trot (10) ST JAMES GATE pushed his win streak to three since joining the Ron Burke barn with an impressive rally last Friday. He steps up again and moves out to post ten, but I think that might help his price a little, and I'll use. (2) PAPPY GO GO has won at the Meadowlands before and seems to have found his form in his last three at Yonkers and Harrah's Philadelphia. (4) THISISSHE invades from Yonkers with two wins, a second, and a third in her last five and was a good second at 70-1 in a single appearance at the Meadowlands in September. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 12500-15000CLM HCP Pace (3) ACTING OUT couldn't get into the race last time out from post nine but moves inside tonight and kept Todd McCarthy over another one in here. (8) FOX VALLEY NEMITZ scored at this level on 11-28 and returns to the Meadowlands after a third-place finish against straight $15,000 claimers at Harrah's Philadelphia most recently. (7) HAYMITCH shifts back to The Big M after a fourth-place finish from first-up at Freehold last Saturday. He adds Andrew McCarthy in the bike and was a dead-heat winner when last seen locally on the 12th of December. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - NW2/20000LT / NW3/30000LT, NW Last 3 Starts Pace (7) FULL VIEW races out of a barn in Scott Blackler's that's pulled a couple of recent upsets and closed in 27 2/5 when he competed at the Meadowlands on 11-28. (4) ROLLING WITH SAM was third in this class on the 12th of December and his on-the-board finishes against NW4's at Pocono and NW3's at Harrah's Philadelphia make him attractive as well. (1) ROGERTHAT BLUECHIP finished second to the well-meant Slippin The Clutch in the same race Rolling With Sam exits. His one-for-15 record in 2020 and two-for-28 mark overall makes him tough to endorse for win, but I'll definitely include underneath. Race 4 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners Base Class NW6000 or Less Last Start/20000CLM Pace (2) NEVERFORGETWHOUR is in need of a wake-up call, but she has done well against better than these at Yonkers and picks up Yannick Gingras tonight, perhaps indicating she might get an aggressive drive. (5) ALWAYS MINDY paced another strong final panel last Friday to finish third in this class, and I will include again. (9) DONT THINK TWICE A got a start under her belt off the bench against NW12500L5's on 12-18 and drops here. She took her season's mark over the track with Jason Bartlett driving, and he has the call here. Race 5 - NW4500L5/Winners Base Class NW3500 or Less Last Start Pace (7) SUGARTOWN lands in a pretty cozy spot for just his second try of 2020, and I anticipate we'll see him forwardly placed by Gingras. (4) QUICK FUN N makes his Meadowlands debut in pretty good form out of $20,000 claiming handicap company at Harrah's Philadelphia. He also has a barn change tonight to Brett Derue, who clicked with Dexter Dunn for a win last Friday, and they team up together here. (1) BABES DIG ME was rejected by Andrew McCarthy, but he ended up with Todd McCarthy instead, a more than acceptable replacement. He was a rallying third at this level on 12-12 and may improve tonight since it's his second start after a bit of a freshening. Race 6 - NW4/50000LT Pace *$50K GTD Pick 4 Pool* (7) ALWAYS AND AGAIN slides down from the NW6/8 class to race NW4's here and kept Todd McCarthy when he had a chance to drive one for Burke. (6) PUT TO RIGHT took advantage of the front-end bias to win on 12-5. He gets another opportunity to race against NW4's tonight, so he's probably a threat again. (8) THE CANDYMAN CAN is the Burke pupil that Gingras will drive, and he was a good second at this level two and three back. Race 7 - NW11500L5/Winners Base Class NW8000 or Less Last Start/30000CLM Pace (3) BOILING OAR receives some class relief in his second appearance at the Meadowlands tonight. The Jeff Cullipher barn has been a bit chilly lately, but I respect this horse's ability to make it up to the Open level at Harrah's Hoosier Park, and I don't mind that he gets a chance with David Miller. (5) BLOOD LINE qualified nicely over the track on the 12th of December, and this is the sort of spot where I think he could do some immediate damage off the bench. (8) UNLOADED N moves up another notch on the class scale, but he has been sharp outside of the one race where he suffered broken equipment and kept Andrew McCarthy's services. Race 8 - F&M NW11500L5/Winners Base Class NW8000 or Less Last Start/30000CLM Pace (9) PAMMY JO performed well at Yonkers through the summer and fall and picked up checks in the Preferred and Open across the river in her last two. I'll give her a shot here, especially with Dunn going in the bike. (7) JUXTA COWGIRL gets reunited with Anthony Napolitano for the first time since they got on a roll together at Pocono in the summer, and I think she'll be put in play. (6) CALLMEQUEENBEE A is another Cullipher horse that made it to the Open at Harrah's Hoosier Park and might put in a better effort with a start under her belt at the Meadowlands. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 9 - NW17500L5/Winners Base Class NW12500 (Meadowlands 14500) or Less in 1 of Last 2 Starts Trot (7) HILL OF A HORSE won at the Meadowlands when he last raced here in September and has been good at Yonkers since then, including a victory over their NW20000L5 class three back and a gaining fourth-place effort in the Open over there most recently. (2) JOEY scratched last Friday due to transportation issues, but he was an impressive winner on the 11th of December and gets an inside post. (8) WARRIOR ONE was no match for JL Cruze on 12-11 but held second and meets up with a softer-looking group tonight. I expect another try on or near the lead. Race 10 - NW17500L5/NW75000LT/Not 3rd or Better Last 3 Starts Pace *$50K GTD Pick 4 Pool* (2) FRANCO TOTEM N grabbed a solid fourth-place finish in a high-quality NW20000L5 race two weeks ago. This looks more like the event he won on the 28th of November, and I'll slot on top. (5) HEZA REAL DIAMOND hasn't been able to duplicate that amazing 1:48 4/5 mile in late November, but he was third behind the razor-sharp Let It Ride N in his most recent appearance and will probably be on the lead or in the pocket again. You deserve a medal if you can guess right on (1) DE LOS CIELOS DEO week-to-week, but he is the one of the two Burke horses that Gingras ended up on, and he drops out of the Preferred, so I'll include. Race 11 - NW7500L5/Winners Base Class NW6000 or Less Last Start/20000CLM Pace (5) TYMAL PEACEMAKER continues to work his way down in class tonight and showed the ability to finish third in a fast mile against NW10500L5's on 11-28. (3) BARBADOS gained late in the mile a couple of Saturdays ago and was Dunn's choice in this contest. (8) B STONEY drops down from the NW10500L5's in his third start off the shelf. He was in against Let It Ride N in his last appearance, so this is a considerably easier spot. Race 12 - NW2500L5/Winners TrackMaster Rating 73 Last Start Pace (5) CHASER HANOVER has missed out on two chances to partner with a catch driver due to cancellations, but the connections are trying again by listing Simon Allard in this bottom level race. I'll use. (6) SAYING GRACE N moves down from the NW4500L5's to this class. He was third against NW7500L5's two back, so he might be the one to beat here. (2) APEX SEELSTER finished with some interest from post seven on the 5th of December and moves inside tonight. He gets another chance with David Miller, too. Race 13 - NW7500L5/Winners Base Class NW6000 or Less Last Start/20000CLM Trot (2) DRAZZMATAZZ will get another shot from me after he was a good third behind St James Gate in this class last Friday. (3) CARRICK didn't have great cover in his last race and couldn't get involved. He was David Miller's choice in here and maybe he'll switch back to the more aggressive tactics others were employing before that most recent effort. (1) ICINGON DE CUPCAKE was not Dunn's choice, but he moves in from post ten to the pole position, and Joe Bongiorno is a capable replacement. Race 14 - 10000CLM Pace (7) DAMION DIESEL HAHN comes over from Harrah's Philadelphia and is making his third start off a layoff. He is now racing out of the high-percentage Juan Cano barn and got the nod from David Miller. (1) VICTORIAS MAVERICK had to settle for fourth when hiked up after stomping $7,500 claimers back on December 5. He races out a barn that's known for winning these low-end claimers, though, and kept Dunn in the bike. (3) SO SO DE VIE was rejected by Dunn but was a rallying second in a quick mile back on the 11th of December. Race 15 - TrackMaster Rating 73 or Less as of 12-15-20 Pace (1) THUNDER DOME gained ground in the final quarter against the TrackMaster 73's when he last faced them on 11-14 and gets a chance with Todd McCarthy tonight in this wide-open race. (8) GRANDPA DON has been victorious in his last two opportunities in this class and is probably the one to beat again. (3) ROCKAHOLIC shifts to an inside post here and just missed by a nose to Grandpa Don on November 20.
