FALL MEET STATS: 76-17-16-13 / $111.00 (-$42.00) BEST BETS: 6-5-0-0 / $32.20 (+20.20) SPOT PLAYS: 6-0-1-2 / $0.00 (-$12.00) BETS BET: VOLUME EIGHT (3rd) SPOT PLAY: MR DS ROCK (11th) Race 1: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO Filly Trot - Pick 5 (5) MAMBACITA exits the Breeders Crown and really should take care of business tonight. She needs a win to guarantee a spot in the final and she has a conditioning edge on (7) BOND. The latter only needs to get a small piece to make the final. Her early speed means she'll likely be put in play and chase the top one through slow fractions. (3) EMIRA MIL IT picks up a catch driver this week. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO C&G Trot (6) SOUTHWIND ADMIRAL probably faces a slightly better group overall than recent weeks, but he's on a huge roll now and needs a win to lock up a seat in the final. (2) UP YOUR DEO has found ways to lose when he should've won. I can't back him with confidence. (5) SOME KINDA CRAZY owns the fastest win time in the field and has performed well in the series. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO C&G Trot - Survivor 7 (4) VOLUME EIGHT got a bit of a late start to his year but has looked like the real deal over the last month. He should win easily unless (5) PURPLE LORD steps up with a big effort. The latter has the early speed to make the front and give the top one a tussle. If the top pair behave this is about a cold an exacta as you can get. Take the $5 and run. (3) CANDY BOMBER comes off an improved mile. Race 4: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO Filly Pace (1) CULTURED looked like a good one earlier this year here but couldn't quite handle some tough ones at The Red Mile. His return qualifier was strong and I expect he'll be ready. (3) CANTGETUOUTAMYMIND has picked up her game lately versus softer. She fits nicely here. (5) ILUVLOUCY was second in this series a couple of months back and her current form is fine. Race 5: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO Filly Trot (3) PURE HOPE S uncorked a big mile last time at Philly and seems like the one to beat on current form. (2) WILD JIGGY S came back from a month on the sidelines and got a win; ride the wave? (6) HEART ON FIRE couldn't find her way at The Red Mile. Don't be surprised if the change of scenery helps. (7) PARK SLOPE keeps Dunn over #2 and #6. Race 6: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO C&G Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4 (1) HUNGRY MAN started off the season like he could be something but things went south fast. Perhaps the short rest and soft competition will help him perk up. (2) BLUE HUNT also gets plenty of class relief and is eligible to show more. (6) TASTE OF HONEY stretches back out on the big track. His career mark came at Vernon. Race 7: Non-winners $10,500 (NW L3 $11,500) in last 5/TM 84.5 or less (1) ELEGANT DULUPIN FR was one of the French horses imported and sold in the PEO sale in August for a $50,000 price tag. His qualifier looked good as he was strong on the gate but settled nicely during the middle before coming on late. (7) KEN'S WALNER has been super when on Lasix and he's on that medication tonight. (5) NYLANDER can step up at any point with a big mile and this class is right in his comfort zone. Race 8: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO Filly Pace - Pick 6 (4) BELLISIMA HANOVER was a filly I thought had an outside chance in the Breeders Crown, so clearly I see her as the one to beat in this spot. McCarthy should put her in play and sit a good trip. (8) LISA LANE has the early speed to make the front and a good record on this track. (5) BELTARA was a bit short after missing almost five weeks. Filly has been solid all year. Race 9: Non-winners $14,000 (NW L3 $15,400) in last 5/TM 89 (NW L3/5 89.5/90) or less (8) HAMMERING HANK had an ample amount of qualifiers and now a pari-mutuel start as well to prepare for his return to the races. Talented rookie pacer should be poised for a big effort tonight in start four as a 3-year-old. (5) ROCKIN THE ACES has been a cash machine over the last couple of years and figures to be firing out for a good trip in this spot. (1) STONE HANOVER got a confidence builder last time. His best places him as a contender in here. Race 10: Non-winners $20,000 (NW L2 $22,000) in last 5 or 10 races life/TM 89 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 (6) SOUTHWIND TYRION returns from a nine-week break but did qualify back well. While he was just third in his last start in this class, that race was against slightly better foes. (8) YANKS DUGOUT is another who has missed time but one that should be put in play and feel very comfortable in this condition. It is seemingly impossible that (4) WESLYNN QUEST is somehow still winless this year. She fits here. Race 11: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L3 $8,250) in last 5/TM 83.2 or less (4) MR DS ROCK could provide some value here with #2 and #3 certain to take plenty of action. He came up short last time after six weeks on the bench and is sure to improve. Notice his last race here was two classes higher. (3) CRUNCH TIME A arrived on these shores and added Lasix in a recent qualifier. He certainly looked sharp in victory. (2) TWIN B HEART THROB moves into a new barn and adds Tim Tetrick. The biggest question revolves around the four-week layoff with no qualifier. Race 12: Kindergarten 4th leg 2YO C&G Pace (5) LOUBET gets his first taste of stakes action and certainly looks up to it after a 1:52 1/5 romp at Philly. (4) GOLDIN GREATNESS exits the Breeders Crown and drops into a better spot on paper. I'd expect him to be forwardly placed. (1) CAPTAIN BATBOY is fast enough to play with these if he brings a top effort. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 13: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) or $20,000 (NW L3 $30,000) life/2YO & Maidens draw inside (8) ARIO HANOVER moves into the Ron Burke barn and is certainly eligible to improve. (7) BOUNTY HUNTER has already gone some pretty big miles and he should only be better in his second start back from a mini vacation; using. (1) WE SHALL SEA is another making his second start back from a short rest; also second time for this barn; improves? Race 14: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/5 74.5/75) or less series (4) ART SCAPING has a better foundation now returning from nearly a year on the sidelines. This is a soft group and I wouldn't be shocked if he was put in play early. (2) BRUCE'S MAGIC was a good third in this class when last seen here. (5) BET THE LIMIT moves into a new barn and certainly could show more. (6) ROCKEYED OPTIMIST & (7) ART HISTORY have class and in theory either could awaken in a field like this one.
