MEET STATS: 111-33-15-17 / $154.90 (-$67.10) BEST BETS: 8-8-0-0 / $29.70 (+$13.70) SPOT PLAYS: 8-1-1-1 / $4.20 (-$11.80) BEST BET: WISH YOU WELL (6th) SPOT PLAY: P L OZZY (8th) Race 1: Trackmaster 77 (NW L2/2L4 77.5/78) or less - Pick 5 (9) ITS SHOWTIME almost overcame post 10 the last time Gingras drove and set a lifetime mark in this class back in February with him in the bike. (4) ALWAYS CLOSE owns current form and has been in the top three more than 50% of the time this year. (5) I’M BURLINGTON N was able to bottom-out an amateur field a week ago. The task is tougher here but a catch-driver should help the cause. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L2 $3,651) in last 4 - Survivor 7 (8) DECISION DAY was much better in his second start since May and finds a spot where his class can shine. (5) INCREDIBLE BADGER also makes his third start back from an even longer break in action. Positive driver change here is a big plus. (7) C-BET HANOVER has no form but drops for a barn that tends to send out live horses when they land in the right spots. Race 3: NJ Garden State 2YO Filly Trot (3) FRENCH CHAMPAGNE has been a victim of the pace scenarios the last two starts. Adding Tetrick to the team here only increases the allure. (1) COCKTAIL WITHAKICK was racing well before the break last time. She should be able to stick close in a small field without a ton of early speed. (6) GLAMOROUS HANOVER woke up with a better effort in the Kindergarten final; more to come? Race 4: NJ Garden State 2YO Filly Trot - Pick 8 (5) WALCANGO wasn’t able to seal the deal off the bench two starts back but was a bit better last time. This daughter of Walner is going to shine in a race soon and this looks like a great spot for her to show some early speed and potentially pounce late. (3) PIZZELLE was rolling along before a lackluster mile in the Breeders Crown elimination. She’s a serious trip threat versus this group. (7) ELOISE was used last time and paid the price. A clean trip would make her a serious contender. Race 5: Non-winners $10,000 (NW L2 $11,551) in last 4 (7) IMAGINARY LINE wasn’t bad from off the pace after drawing outside following a four week layoff. Five-year-old has early speed and should be using it. (9) AMMO has never been one of my favorite horses but this is a HUGE class drop; wakes up, right? (4) SPORT SECRET isn’t at the top of my list on the win end but seems like an exotics must. (6) BB LUCKY BOY has speed and form; faces tougher. (3) COLOSSAL STRIDE A adds Dexter Dunn and automatically deserves a look. Race 6: NJ Home Grown 2YO C&G Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4 (5) WISH YOU WELL set a fast pace against better in the Matron and paid the price. This group is more in her comfort zone and I expect she’ll take charge. (1) CAVIART JUSTICE was used and couldn’t quite sustain last week; can make amends. (7) MR THREE O FIVE was better in his qualifier; turning it around? Race 7: NJ Home Grown 2YO Filly Pace (4) BLUE PACIFIC has been racing the best 2-year-old filly pacers in North America. This group should pose no problem for her. (3) ODDS ON STENO gets a catch-driver tonight and a much better post to start from. (10) MIKI IN LUV has tons of form and enough early speed to overcome the outside post. Let’s see how she does on the big track for the first time. Race 8: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L2 $8,250) in last 4 - Pick 6 (3) P L OZZY seems to have turned a corner with a sharp qualifier and a nice even mile from the back of the pack. Five-year-old has enough class to wake up here in a big way. (9) TITO ROCKS finished second while racing in a much higher class when last seen here in early September. He has the speed to overcome the post and is a must use. (4) STONEBRIDGE REEF is certainly capable with a decent trip. Race 9: Non-winners $14,000-$20,000 in last 4/TM 92 or less (5) SOUTHWIND GENDRY has a legitimate chance to make the front this week and refuse to yield. That’s the trip I like for him. (7) MY PAL JOE makes his second start back from vacation and picks up Todd McCarthy after Tetrick opted for #1. If he’s ready to roll, watch out! (8) STONE HANOVER is arguably the sharpest horse in the race but he’ll need a hot pace and a live flow to set him up. Race 10: $25,000-$40,000 Claiming Handicap - $50K GTD Pick 4 (3) ART SCAPING has come back from vacation in fine form and should be put into controlling position. (8) SUGAR ME N also comes off a win and he too has the early speed to get into the right spot. (4) URBAN RENEWAL has been fairly consistent and seems like a clear exotics threat. (9) REVOLVER N is certainly sharp and he adds a catch-driver here. Race 11: $15,000-$20,000 Claiming Handicap (3) RACING MONEY has been turning in credible efforts at Philly and now picks up a Hall of Fame driver; upset chance. (9) PHOTOBOMBR HANOVER blazed the way on the engine and was a winner every step of the way last week. Facing the same group he’s very likely to win again. (5) LOVIN ON YOU has been closing well from the back and only needs to be in better striking position to have a shot. Race 12: Non-winners $10,000-$14,000 in last 4 or TM 88 or less (9) BALENCIAGA doesn’t get a great post but lands in the right spot in terms of class to make some serious noise. (7) TOCCOA FALLS swooped to victory last time in this condition and is clearly dangerous again. (4) SONOFAMISTERY is fast and dangerous but very unreliable. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 13: Non-winners $5,000 (NW L2 $5,500) in last 4/TM 80.5 or less (5) TYGA HANOVER has been getting slightly better as he drops in class and may have finally found his comfort zone here. (10) CAPTAIN MCCRAE drops in his second start off the bench and is certainly capable of improving dramatically. Notice some good races in this class back in September. (1) SPRINGSTEEN isn’t the horse he once was but does have the ability to perk up against a group like this one. Race 14: Non-winners $2,000 (NW L2 $2,200) in last 4 (4) BOILER MAKER wasn’t bad last time and now he gets a driver upgrade while dropping into the basement condition. (2) HEZA REAL DIAMOND also turned in a decent effort last week. He’s capable of crushing this field with his best effort. (5) MISTER HAT was steady after missing four weeks. He should be a bit tighter now.
