FALL MEET STATS: 97-36-17-17 / $200.00 (+$6.00) BEST BETS: 7-4-1-1 / $12.00 (-$2.00) SPOT PLAYS: 7-3-1-2 / $25.40 (+$11.40) BEST BET: GOOD ROCKIN (10th) SPOT PLAY: ALTA BLUES A (8th) Race 1: Trackmaster 68 (NW L2 70) or less - Pick 5 (1) PHELGON hails from a barn that can fire well fresh and the inside post should mean she’ll get away in good order. She’s probably not the most likely winner but is worth serious consideration at a price considering layoffs and dull form of this group. (3) WISCO HALF PINT came to the East Coast and had no shot from post eight at Monticello. It will be interesting to see if she steps up on the big track. (5) JUST MY MAMA was a winner when last at the TM68 level but hasn’t raced in five weeks. (7) LADYZAR also owns a recent win at this level and she does have the early speed to get into play. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace (10) REVOLVER took a few months off and got a good tightener in a fast mile at Philly to prepare for this showing. The outside post should ensure a good price on a horse that seems to be in a decent spot. (4) ROJAN’S WAY has been fairly consistent this year and is capable from close to the pace or just off it. (9) WHAMMER JAMMER could come away last here but is also capable of passing the field with a quick late burst; Pick 5 worthy. Race 3: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2 73) or less - Survivor 7 (1) EL PARRANDERO Q comes to town with stellar form and this isn’t his first go-around here. He competed in TM 74 last winter with some decent miles and should feel very comfortable. (4) AWESOME TIMES TWO is probably the one to beat on paper as his last two tires in this condition have resulted in a win and a second. (3) ROCKABILLY CHARM owns an August win in this class and has finished in the money almost half his starts on the year. Race 4: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races or $20,000 (NW L2 $30,000) life/2YO and Maidens draw inside (4) BOOKIE J and (1) SONOFANUTCRACKER jump off the page in this race despite having just a qualifier since mid-September. The former is the NJ Classic winner and the latter owns a NJSS championship. One of them will win and it is very likely that they’ll finish one-two. (9) TWIN FURY has some early speed and seems most talented of the rest. Race 5: Trackmaster 74.5 (NW L2 76.5) or less (8) HASHTAG MONEY comes off a very sharp mile at Philly and figures to be gunning for the top here. If his recent form holds he’ll be tough. (1) SUNSHINE’S FINEST moves to the inside of the gate tonight as he hopes to fire off a five week absence. Notice his eight wins in 2025 and seven wins last year top the field. (7) CAPTAIN CARTER also has some early speed and was second in this class two starts back; Herschberger’s pick over #8. Race 6: Trackmaster 68 (NW L2 70) or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 It is difficult to get excited about any of these horse in what amounts to a formless race. (5) STONE COLD SAVAGE wasn’t bad at all in his last race here when closing from ninth. Six-year-old only wins about 10% of the time but none of these are known for their recent winning prowess. (3) CLASSIC hasn’t had much luck in terms of posts when out of town recently. He should make his presence felt here. (6) FLYING TIGER has turned in some decent miles in this class. Race 7: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2 73) or less (3) TARGARYEN EMPRESS was facing a couple of classes higher when last here and he had the trainer in the bike that night. This looks like a good spot to send her and see what happens with the catch driver on the team. (6) RONA MAE was a 2-5 winner when last seen here, so you have to think she’s the one to beat. (10) ALMOST KAREN is 10-for-22 on the year as far as hitting the board and she’s very comfortable in this class. (2) FIRSTUP could fire out in this spot and I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if she put in a big mile. Race 8: Trackmaster 77.5 (NW L2 79.52) or less - Pick 6 *$3,813 Carryover* (9) ALTA BLUES A improved in his second start back from multiple months on the sidelines. Veteran has a bit of class and can overcome the outside draw versus a softer TM77 field. (1) DUDDIE’S LOR isn’t the best horse on the planet but he can step up at times and this group should be in his comfort zone. (4) FEARLESS FURY has kept good company out of town and was third in this condition when last here. (3) FERRAGAMO HANOVER hasn’t seen a post this good in quite some time. Notice that he has one of the fastest win times of this group in 2025. Race 9: Non-winners $5,000 (NW L2 $5,775) in last 5/TM 80.5 (NW L2 82.5) or less (1) COVER BAND hasn’t been able to handle the five-eighths but has kept his act together with some nice efforts here. Perhaps the break last time will scare people away. (4) BIG LIMO has the early speed to make the front and while he’s 0-for-6 here, a win isn’t out of the question. (6) PRINCE ARCHIE makes his Meadowlands debut but has won on the big track at Mohawk previously. Five-year-old has won two of his last four starts. Race 10: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L2 $8,250) in last 5/TM 86 (NW L2 88) or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 (3) GOOD ROCKIN is an old-timer that likely will benefit from the five week break in action. His best will beat this field without a problem. (1) BLUESVILLE has been sharp at Vernon and freshened up with some easy qualifiers. He’s worth a look here. (8) BOBCAT BAY has big early speed. He’s another horse that perhaps will benefit from a few weeks on the sidelines. Race 11: Trackmaster 83.5 (NW L2 85.63) or less (5) MAYHEM HANOVER is a classy guy who is feeling good right now. There is no reason he can’t keep the good times going. (10) STORM THE COURT is fast off the gate and capable of a big mile. He’s definitely in the right class tonight. (8) RYDINGTOTHEWIRE won his last two starts over the track and the recent scratched-sick line might help the price a smidge. Race 12: Non-winners $12,500 (NW L2 $14,000) in last 5 or 9 (NW L2 10) races/TM 88 (NW L2 90) or less (10) MAD MAX HANOVER would fire off the gate and never look back if I had my way but it is hard to know what tactics the driver will take. He is the best horse in the field and doesn’t let horses pass when he gets the top. (2) PINEAPPLE CRUNCH seems likely to flash speed and be in prime position to win. (9) OAKWOOD HEYMIKI IR has been a win machine throughout his career and hasn’t missed a beat since changing barns; post hurts. (3) ITS SATURDAY NIGHT lured Beckwith off my top three picks, so maybe that’s a reason to play. Race 13: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2 73.25) or less (5) C KAN TROT has been awful at Yonkers but perhaps the switch back to the big track and also likely be on the engine will wake him back up. (2) BANK BOX TREASURE raced well every week until he started drawing outside. Like many others he’s missed five weeks but at least the post is good tonight. (6) GOOGOO EYES moves back to The Meadowlands and that could give him a better shot at success. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 14: Non-winners $5,000 (NW L2 $5,500) in last 5 (3) WARRAWEE TOTAL never got in play last time but that should be rectified this week. (5) LITE N SWEET has been stuck in outside posts. It is hard to believe this guy is winless on the year. He’s better than that record would indicate. (1) BEST CHIP gets an interesting barn change. (9) INTEREST FREE A has the ability to overcome the outside draw versus this field. (10) DANCE PARTNER got Herschberger’s call over #’s 1, 4 and 6. Race 15: $7,500-$10,000 Claiming Handicap (3) MISTER MIAMI is a sharp horse who loves to win for a barn that has done pretty well here in limited assignments. (8) LOU ON THE BEACH owns the fastest win of the year in this group and he is coming off a better effort. (9) I’LL HUNT YOU DOWN is far from the win machine that he was for past connections but he’s another that does come off a more promising effort.
