Race 1: GSY 1 Pace - Pick 5
(1) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE was taken back last week in his first start after a four week break. He should be sharper now and forwardly placed where he likes to be. (8) SUNSHINE'S FINEST also got a very conservative steer coming back from a mini vacation. Hopefully Clark gets him in play this time. (5) SVENGALI made a big move on the turn before flattening; capable with a better trip.

Race 2: NJ Classic 3YO C&G A Trot Final
(2) TEMPORAL HANOVER should head to the front in this abbreviated field and take care of business. (1) PRETENDER has enough early speed to push the top pick early and the form to hang around late. (4) KING OF THE NORTH was a bit better last time facing older foes. I wouldn't be shocked if he won but can't endorse him either.

Race 3: NJ Classic 2YO Filly B Elim - Survivor 7
Keep in mind that nine out of 10 of these horses will race for 10x the money next week. (1) ROCKNATION raced better than her line looks in her career debut. She was very quiet most of the way chasing slow fractions but did gain some late ground into the fastest quarter of the race. With Gingras taking the drive, I'd expect more aggressive tactics. (5) MAKE SWEET MAGIC wasn't bad when last seen in Sire Stakes action. Is she ready off a 2:00 qualifier? Does Todd McCarthy jumping ship for #4 mean no? (9) ANNELIESE HANOVER put up the fractions while beating the top pick last time; threat.
Race 4: NJ Classic 2YO C&G B Elim
(1) EL LINCOLN returned from eight weeks on the sidelines and wound up trapped along the cones behind a gapper before finishing up his mile willingly. Walner offspring could have more than it appears on paper. (8) SOUTHWIND ADMIRAL owns more wins (2) than the rest of the field combined. He seems like a lock to hustle to the front and perhaps wire the field. (4) AIR POWER rolled past the top pick in a qualifier a couple of weeks back. Will he stay trotting at night with the lights on? (6) BRACE FOR LANDING shows a win two back that would make him very competitive with this group.
Race 5: GSY 1 Pace
(5) CHIEF OF STAFF charged home to just miss last time and has been in form for some time. This field has enough outside speed signed on to set him up as well as (6) MV OK PALACIO BR, who was simply too far back last time versus an overall better field. (3) CECIL CASANOVA is impossible to predict but capable of winning. (8) THNDRFRMTHETHRON N is a capable horse from on or off the pace when right.
Race 6: NJ Classic 3YO Filly Trot A Final - $50K GTD Pick 4
I loved the mile from (3) LILBITALEXIS last week in her first start with Lasix. Norman trainee still has to prove she has the raw speed to put up a 1:50 or 1:51 mile, so demand at least 8-1 if you like her. We should get that with Dunn choosing #8. (4) FASHION SCHOONER was 1-5 versus most of these a week ago and she cruised to an easy win after rating the pace; race goes through her. (1) YANABA should save ground and be closing late. (2) RAISED BY LINDY reeled off a fast score in Kentucky last time. Has she turned the corner?
Race 7: NJ Classic 2YO C&G B Elim
(9) DEVILISH HILL was visibly taken off the gate last week rather than attempting to leave last Thursday and did have a hint of late trot. With a top-five finish needed tonight I'd expect a more aggressive attempt. (1) LANDING STRIP and (2) DYLADMAR finished within inches of each other in the Wellwood consolation and they seemed to have caught a soft field this week.
Race 8: NJ Classic 3YO Filly Trot B Final - $4,091 Pick 6 Carryover
(1) MISSWALNER FASHION has found herself in recent weeks and she's clearly the one to beat here with anything close to her best effort. (5) BRICKHOUSE BABE closed well with no shot after chasing slow fractions last time. She's winless but capable with a decent trip. (4) PEYTON HANOVER was disappointing a week ago but maybe she needed the race after missing five weeks of racing; more now?
Race 9: NJ Classic 3YO C&G Trot B Final
(2) TESTING TESTING was a popular commodity on the tote board and simply came up flat when it counted. That was just his first start for this barn and improvement can be expected here at a much better price. (9) LOOKS LIKE MONI kept her act together last week and she has to be a lock to gun off the wings tonight; Lasix added! (6) ABRUZZO and (1) ROBERTSIN finished a neck apart last time and either could score in this spot.
Race 10: Miss Versatility Mares Open Trot - $50K GTD Pick 4
(1) BELLA BELLINI doesn't really need to do much in this race as she has already qualified for the final, but the inside draw should allow her to come away close and wear these down first-over. (4) GHOSTINTHESHELL S and (7) NEXT LEVEL STUFF are two mares that can get away soft on the engine and both figure to be value underneath in the exacta.
Race 11: NJ Classic 2YO Filly Trot B Elim
(8) SAINT TRIXIE comes in from Pocono with form, adds Tetrick and really doesn't face much. (1) DEFACEMENT has a smidge of early speed and has proven capable of chasing the speed like #8. (3) WON LINER was somewhat unimpressive in her debut but did have a bad post.
Race 12: NJ Classic 2YO Filly Trot B Elim
(8) QUIETLY BRILLIANT doesn't look like much on paper but has been facing a number of foes in each race that would easily handle this group. (2) GOTTA GET CRACKIN got burnt to a crisp from post 8 at Pocono last time and before that was racing against the best in the division; clear player on best. (6) SOUTHWIND CHERRY freshened up at Hoosier with a win.

Race 13: Non-winners 1 race or $10,000 life
(7) SECRET VOLO gets a ton of class relief and should be heading to the front tonight despite the layoff. (1) UNICORN BLUE CHIP is another facing softer that should appreciate the new company. (5) DESTINY’S DARLING became a new horse with hobbles added and now gets a bigger test.
Race 14: Non-winners 1 race or $10,000 life
(9) TWO PISTOL ANNIE comes off two monster efforts at Grand River. Lazarus N filly has to prove she can handle the big track but certainly looks imposing. (1) ZIRA put in a very nice qualifier and perhaps is ready to turn the corner. (2) GAME TO GO went a big mile at Lexington and had no shot last time after chasing somewhat slow fractions. (7) ESPERANZA HANOVER has no early speed but should be along for a nice piece.
