SPOT PLAY: COOL PAPA BELL (5th)
Race 1: Non-winners $2,000 in last 4/TM 74.70 or less/Not 3rd or better last 6 - Pick 5
(5) MAKERS MASS stayed flat with hobbles added and seems likely to be point to the front here by Dupont. Against a weak field on paper, I'll take a shot that he can wire the field. (3) MASSTER BLUE rallied from the back at Freehold most recently and that isn't easy to accomplish. (6) SHENZI AS should enjoy the switch back to a big track; hobbles added.

Race 2: Non-winners 2/3 races or $22,500 life
(1) TWO PROUD was a very impressive qualifying winner and whatever was troubling her seems to be in the rearview mirror. I'd be thrilled with 8-5 here despite facing older foes. (4) CAPSAICINN has picked up her game with Lasix added and should be the main danger. (6) INDUSTRIAL HEMP has shown some hints of ability but hasn’t taken the next step.
Race 3: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot - Survivor 7
(3) CASH INFUSION chased home a can't-lose winner last week very nicely. She'll likely need to prove she can cut the mile here. (6) LA VIE EN BLANC was 11 lengths behind the top pick at the wire last time, but that was more a matter of circumstance than being simply outclassed. (4) LITTLE PINK LIES finished ahead of the top pick in the NYSS final two weeks back so I guess you have to consider her in this spot.
Race 4: GSY Amateur Trot
(9) LEVITATION fired out from post 7 at Freehold and went down the road, so expecting a similar drive here makes sense. This gelding has been keeping good company at Freehold. (3) RIVER OTTER scratched out of a good spot last weekend and lands in another one here. (10) SCIROCCO PATRICK cost me big-time when he got nailed at the wire by a horse who closed from last. A repeat performance puts him in the picture despite the bad post.
Race 5: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Trot
(6) COOL PAPA BELL was a solid second behind Molotov Cocktail, who came here last weekend and rolled from post 10. This guy has ability! (3) TESTING TESTING has found himself in recent weeks and has to be considered on your tickets. (2) FAMOUS FATHER is still a work-in-progress but one that is capable given the right setup.
Race 6: GSY Amateur Pace - **$4,002.65 Pick 6 Carryover**
(3) TAKEITTOTHEFACE had no real shot from post nine in his first start for this barn. A better post this week gives him a serious shot. (5) CASINO BAGS ANSO moves into a barn that excels with new horses and this combo of Estrada and Zuccarello have done well in the amateur races this meet. The main caution is his 2-for-51 record the last two years. (6) MAYFIELD DUKE has been closing well in recent starts and seems to be coming into form.
Race 7: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot
(3) BRICKHOUSE BABE rallied nicely for the win last weekend and this week she catches a field loaded with early speed players to set her up. (1) I'LL HAVE A LINDY was handled patiently and had some late trot most recently. (6) HILL OF CASH S has displayed some impressive lines when out of town. Can she stay trotting?
Race 8: GSY Amateur Pace
(4) WATCHMENEIGHNEIGH has performed very well in the amateur ranks and his connections have a strong record in here as well. He's the one to beat but hardly a lock. (7) PANTHEON HANOVER was used two starts back and stuck in post 10 last time. With the right trip he can do better. (6) CASHNCAM & (1) FLOW WITH JOE tried to rally into a slow pace last time and not shockingly weren't successful. Either could step up in the right pace scenario.
Race 9: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4
(4) TREACHEROUS DRAGON finished second last week behind perhaps the best horse in the series. That foe is nowhere to be found this week. (7) SHE'S NEVER WRONG did well in her first start over the track; improves? (6) CAPTIVA & (8) FLIP THE SCRIPT finished second and third with solid final quarters last weekend; exotic threats.
Race 10: GSY Amateur Pace
Looking a little outside the box here with (2) BAILEYS ROCK N, who made his first start in 20 months last Saturday and had to need the race. This barn has started off hot during the meet and has been known to wake horses up in a hurry. (4) BRANDON HANOVER has been spectacular since changing barns. (6) IDEAL FLIP also changed hands and scored at first asking. A repeat is certainly within reach. (7) FOX VALLEY NEMITZ went a monster mile here last weekend and could take advantage of a hot pace if a few of these sharp horses go at it.

Race 11: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Trot
(2) STRIDE THE HILL has been racing well and catches a softer group this week. (3) KEN’S WALNER looked like the real deal at the start of the season but just hasn't put it together. He'll get another chance tonight. (5) THERESNOLIMIT S has been fairly consistent.
Race 12: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Pace
(1) HUNTS POINT put in a strong mile versus a killer last week and should get a close trip from the inside post. (7) JD owns big early speed and should have an exotics chance. (3) LAYTON HANOVER has yet to miss the board in seven starts but hasn't been able to seal the deal lately. (10) HAMMERING HANK enters this race undefeated in five starts but has little early speed and post 10. If he pulls this off it will be quite impressive.
