FALL MEET STATS: 83-34-13-13 / $194.40 (+$28.40) BEST BETS: 6-3-1-1 / $9.20 (-$2.80) SPOT PLAYS: 6-3-0-2 / $25.40 (+$13.40) BEST BET: SOUTHWIND CHASKA (10th) SPOT PLAY: CAVIART MADRID (12th) Race 1: Trackmaster 68 (NW L2/L5 70/70.35) or less - Pick 5 (3) FUNNEIGH was able to keep up reasonably well on the big track at Mohawk as a 3-year-old in 1:55 miles. That bodes well for her on arrival here for a new barn, though her former trainer was winning at over 20%, so maybe improving on them is unlikely. (6) HARMONY OF NOTES is another new arrival and this one picks up one of the hottest drivers on the planet in Jason Bartlett. You have to think he’ll put her in play. (5) BEE AWARE was too close to a hot pace last time and was stuck in post 10 before that. She can get into the exotics. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2 73.70) or less/NW 2 races life (1) HUNTERS GAL has been sharp in her last few tries in this class while typically offering good value on the toteboard. This race lacks much form or dynamic ability to make big moves, giving her a big chance to stick close from pylon position. (2) YOUMEANDWHISKEY is another who should be close to the front and she has been second in each of her last two starts. Unfortunately her five for 68 lifetime record doesn’t instill confidence on the win end. (9) BANK BOX TREASURE has some early speed in his arsenal and other than last weekend when the trip didn’t work out his form has been solid. (4) LANDIA is good at sitting and getting whatever piece is available to him late; using underneath. Race 3: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace - Survivor 7 (2) WATCH EM WIN is a very nice colt who seems likely to come away no worse than second in this field. He’ll be hard to beat here. (5) SIGNAL CALLER has loads of talent but will likely be raced from off the pace in this spot. He can certainly win if you believe the pace will be fast enough to set him up. (3) ROCKNACIOUS seems to be close each week but can’t quite get anything done on the win end. Bartlett joins the team here and maybe he can provide a wake-up call for this guy on the engine. Race 4: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot (8) CAMBRIDGE HANOVER wasn’t sharp in his second start in Canada and maybe the shipping or whatever took its toll on him. He’s back on his home soil now and catches a field where he can make some noise if firing on all cylinders. (6) MINOAN has yet to miss the board in six career races and you know he’ll be on the engine; clear one to beat. (1) CAVIART WAR ROOM comes in from Lexington off a win for a barn that has sent a bunch of live horses here. Race 5: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot (1) ALL TIME TROT S won without issue in her pari-mutuel debut but wound up sitting behind slow fractions and really had no start in her first start over this track. With more on the line here as only a couple of legs of the Kindergarten remain, I expect she’ll be put in play. (7) CUSTOM has done decent work out of town and can certainly perk up on the switch to the big track. (4) FRATTINA BLUE CHIP hasn’t missed the board in three career starts and certainly figures to be a player. Race 6: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2 76) or less/TM 77 (NW L2 79) or less draw outside - Pick 4 (2) ODDS ON SARA SARA couldn’t have asked for a much better spot this week and only needs a clean trip to have a big shot of getting her picture taken. (5) PATTYCAKE MOOSS hasn’t been racing poorly but has no recent wins to show for it. Maybe the barn and driver change here can get her over the top. (1) KANDY KISS wasn’t bad up in class last time and should be able to sit somewhat close to the pace here. (6) SWEET CAROLLOU returns to town in a class that suits her if she can work out the right trip. Race 7: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace (5) TOAST OF THE TOWN couldn’t make any noise in the PASS final versus perhaps the best 2-year-old in the country. While there are some decent horses in here, this field presents a much better opportunity for him to win at a price and notice McCarthy chose here over #6. (1) BOOKIE J put up a career best mile last week over this track and he could certainly use a good showing here to get some points; one to beat. (6) CALLMEBIGPAPI certainly has early speed and there is some ability in him; still winless on the year. Race 8: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L2 $8,250) in last 5 or 6 races life/TM 83.55 (NW L2 85.5) or less - *Pick 6 ($3,727 C/O)* (6) STONECOLDTREACHERY lost her qualifier but the defeat was to one of the best pacers on the planet in Twin B Joe Fresh. Four-year-old finds the softest spot she has seen in some time and really should awaken. (2) VERITY BLUE CHIP couldn’t be racing much better and you have to like that she has a 1:51 1/5 win over the track. (7) DONEGAL SPIRIT was first over in her last appearance over this track. Perhaps she can work out a better journey here. Race 9: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace (5) AMIRA HANOVER has probably done her best work over the big track thus far in her career. She has the early speed to take charge here if Beckwith opts to use it. It is worth noting that Bartlett opted off this one for #6. (2) ON HEIR is another I prefer on the mile oval but unlike the top pick she is likely going to race from behind and will need the right setup. (6) CAR KEYS has been racing well but can’t seem to find a way to win. The waters don’t get much easier here, maybe a smidge. (4) JK FIERCE LADY won her last race over the track. Race 10: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot - Pick 4 (1) SOUTHWIND CHASKA really got a great steer by driver Tim Tetrick but he didn’t plan on Lipstick showing up with a career-best mile. Having known that he may’ve done things differently. Either way, she jumps off the page in this spot. (3) DIAMOND BAY left and was making her way to the front when she simply decided she didn’t want to race. Maybe being on the lead spooked her. Either way, playing horses off scary lines like that one can often prove profitable because the problem is typically correctable. (7) KICKAN hasn’t been very good but neither has the rest of the field. She can get a decent piece. Race 11: Winners 2-4 (NW L2 or 3YO 5) races or $50,000 (NW L2 or 3YO $60,000) life (2) THEMONEYISBACK S is probably the fastest in here if he elects to behave. (3) TACTICAL DYNASTY looked to have some ability last year but hasn’t been able to get in gear in 2025. At least his last two efforts have been some of his best and an aggressive driver like Siegelman could wake him up. (5) SCUDO HANOVER comes to town with early speed and form. Let’s see how he does on the big track. (6) LUKE’S BAR hasn’t gotten any faster as the year has gone on; trip player with the right setup. Race 12: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace (1) CAVIART MADRID passed horses from an impossible spot last time. When last here before that the driver took a hold of her nearing the wire and that clearly spooked her into a break. While she seems to bear in a bit, this looks like a good spot for her. (5) PRTYNPROUD HANOVER has a couple of good miles since joining this barn and bled last time; adds Lasix. (3) FEISTY HANOVER is clearly going to the front; gets a soft pace? [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 13: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2 73) or less (9) ALMOST KAREN couldn’t overcome post 10 last time and this post isn’t much better. That said, I don’t see a ton of early speed in here so she’s worth a shot. (1) RONA MAE drops back down to the level of her last win for a good barn. (4) PULL ME THROUGH could find himself gunning to the front this week with her new pilot. (7) BULLVILLEKARLA has found herself lately. 10-year-old could be coming around. Race 14: Trackmaster 68 (NW L2/L5 70/70.35) or less – *Hi 5 ($18,290 C/O)* (2) THANEEYA should easily get around #1 and sit a cozy trip. As long as too many others don’t leave and kill her chances she should have a big shot. (5) HOLD MY TIARA has two seconds and a win in her last three starts in this class. (6) CHEDDAR SHREDDER dueled on the lead and paid the price last time. The trip has to be easier this time.
