Race 1: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot - Pick 5
(1) STRIDE THE HILL finished with plenty last week in the Reynolds to just miss and he's shown sharp closing ability in his brief career. From the inside in this abbreviated field he should never be too far back. (5) TESTING TESTING proved an easy pocket-sitting winner last out in an overnight event and he seems capable of going a bit faster tonight. (4) ROBERTSIN has accomplished the most of these thus far with that 1:54 4/5 score in the Haughton elimination before being aggressively handled and tiring in the final. He's been off over a month which is a bit concerning.

Race 2: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace
(7) GROOVY MAN got a bit of a late start to his career and comes into this race with just one lifetime start, but it was a winning effort in an easy spot at the Red Mile. Takter trainee has gotten progressively faster in his two morning sessions prior to his pari-mutuel debut and the Huntsville offspring looks like he can go with these. (5) EARLY ACTION already has three wins to his credit, including two NYSS scores. Holloway trainee gets Dave Miller back in the bike and they teamed up for a win on debut. (6) CAPTAINRYANMICHAEL powered past to upset in last week's Reynolds and has every right to repeat here, as the likely favorite.

Race 3: Kindergarten 2YO Fillies Trot
(2) CASH MACHINE GIRL didn't start her career off too well but once adding the hobbles she has really found her stride and she returns to The Meadowlands looking for her third straight. (6) LA VIE EN BLANC also recently added the trotting hobbles and she was an open-length winner in her qualifier; Dunn picks up the catch drive and could add some value to the exotics. (5) PRETTY INTERESTING was a nice two-move winner recently down at Philly; Todd McCarthy's choice has a legit chance in here.
Race 4: Kindergarten 2YO Fillies Pace
(8) NIKI HILL looks the part of another powerful Chris Ryder youngster and she already has a 1:50 3/5 mark to her credit in a PaSS event at Pocono; filly should have her way with these. (3) SWEET ROCK DEO has a recent win a Philly and was Todd McCarthy's choice of five in here. (1) HOOD PARTY won a PaSS event last week at The Meadows with Dave Miller driving and she's a logical player here.
Race 5: GSY Series Pace
(5) MARVALOUS ONE doesn't exactly have a stellar career record but his recent local starts have all been pretty competitive, including last week's nice closing effort. Midpack post can help driver James Foley set up a good trip. (3) TAKEITTOTHEFACE brushed and crushed last week off the barn change to Fusco; Tony Beltrami can clearly repeat from this similar spot. (9) FOX VALLEY INFERNO is the highest money-earner in the field and he arrives off an easy win at Saratoga; poor post could present a problem, but help the price.
Race 6: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot **$50K GTD Pick-4**
(7) SIMON was unable to muster a serious charge as the odds-on favorite in last week's Reynolds split but he projects to be a much better price tonight and he's got the speed to overcome the outermost post. (5) B A SUPERHERO is riding a nice two-race winning streak but he loses a catch-driver here as trainer Lucas Wallin takes the lines; he may simply be too fast for these. (2) GLOBAL DAYTRADER S seems to have regressed since that solid effort here on 7/23; staying flat is a primary concern.
Race 7: GSY Series Pace
(6) IN THE HUDDLE has some back class to him and raced well at The Big M last year in limited appearances; veteran has been known to leave the gate in the past and I hope he's close to the pace here. (2) MASTER CONRAD would seem to have a chance if he's within striking distance, which hasn't really been the case recently. 4-year-old is capable with this class. (10) WATCHMENEIGHNEIGH was a winner here last week given a good steer by Beltrami. Outside post may relegate him to the bottom of the ticket.
Race 8: $7,500-$10,000 Claiming Handicap Pace
(8) FOX VALLEY NEMITZ missed a head in his local return as the odds-on favorite last week; price figures to be better tonight and Callahan should get aggressive with this gelding. (9) TAILGUNNER HANOVER returns from a lengthy vacation with just an even qualifier but he was racing mainly in the amateur ranks when we last saw him and now Marohn hops in the bike. (2) D GS SHALLWEDANCE was a winner at Freehold last weekend; confidence booster?
Race 9: GSY Series Trot
(2) SCIROCCO PATRICK was too far back to seriously threaten in his local return but he moves in a few slots and his owner/trainer/driver Mark Silva has had plenty of success in these amateur events. (6) STEALING figures to be firing out towards the front; as long as he isn't used too hard he can be there at the finish. (5) HOTFOOT HANNAH gave it a good try from the 10 hole last week and almost lasted; he's an obvious player here, especially with the improved post.
Race 10: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace **$50K GTD Pick-4**
(1) GONE BEFORE DAWN was a winner in his career debut in the Springfield elimination at Yonkers then rallied well for a small share from the eight hole in the final. Two back was a solid try in a NYSS event up at Tioga and the Erv Miller trainee looks pretty juicy at his 10/1 listed morning line. (2) JK STANDINGOVATION headed over to Indiana for a couple of Sire Stakes events there but proved a bit overmatched; his prior start here was a stubborn front-end try. Nancy Takter trainee appears well-spotted from this inside post. (7) PJ LOU flashed good speed in a Reynolds event here last week.
Race 11: Kindergarten 2YO Fillies Trot
(1) PALERMO HANOVER has a couple of third-place finishes to her credit in PA Sire Stakes events and prior to that were two willing efforts here with Andy McCarthy in the bike. Brother Todd now steers and he has some tactical options from this post, including letting the speed settle then making a move for command. We'll see. (5) PRIMADONNA DEO is another Noel Daley entrant (along with the top choice) and she's been on the board in all five of her career races. The win will come soon. (8) TIPPET found her stride at The Red Mile after some early anxious moments to start her career. Muscle Hill offspring was a $400K yearling.

Race 12: NW2 races or $20,000 lifetime Trot
(5) PINEWOOD HANOVER has been very consistent in five starts down at Philly to start his career. 2-year-old seems like a good fit here with this camera-shy group. (3) CHABLIS is 0 for 20 and counting but the filly has been facing some good ones. Last week's effort wasn’t bad. (4) THE AMERICAN EAGLE has shown very little so far but Todd McCarthy gets the drive and maybe he can wake her up a bit.
Race 13: F&M NW3500 in last 4 starts Pace
(5) KAITLYN N hasn't won in eons it seems but she's been racing pretty well of late versus better over at Yonkers and the classy veteran finds a good spot here. (6) GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW didn't get involved here last Saturday facing better but did seem willing; she has five wins and a 1:50 2/5 mark here this season. (1) ESCAPE AGAIN is the highest money-earner in here this season and she's coming in off a win at Philly facing $10K claimers.
