CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 294-98-58-50 / $555.20 (-$32.80) BEST BETS: 22-8-7-2 / $28.80 (-15.20) SPOT PLAYS: 22-8-5-2 / $49.60 (+$5.60) BEST BET: KEN'S WALNER (4th) SPOT PLAY: PIRATE HANOVER (12th) Race 1: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot (1) TACHYON has been able to keep pace with more talented foes in the New Jersey Sire Stakes series and seems worth a look here. Sarah Svanstedt being in the bike should ensure a fair price. (3) LETSDOIT S has done decent work in his last two qualifiers. Will he be aggressively handled in his career debut? (5) EL TORO LOCO comes off a 1:55 4/5 win at The Meadows and certainly seems to fit nicely. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace (6) TREACHEROUS DRAGON has impressed in each of her morning efforts. Last time she seemed to have more left while shut down late and prior to that she finished willingly. The only question is whether she'll be unleashed right out of the gate. (3) GOTTHEGREENLIGHT is clearly the one to beat after uncorking a 1:51 2/5 win two weeks back. (7) YES INDEED should be plenty primed after four qualifiers. Huntsville filly topped the Goshen Sale last year. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot (1) JUST BEE AWESOME caught my eye in each of her qualifiers. She's still somewhat green and the rail won't do her any favors, but there is talent here. (7) LILBITALEXIS opened up a sizable lead and held on safely last week and she is the one to beat tonight. (4) VALENTINA BLU came up with a good effort to be second from post 8 at Saratoga and certainly should be a player in this field. Race 4: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot (3) KEN'S WALNER left, came first-over and held his own versus two horses that would be 3-5 in this spot; short price coming. (6) WILLY WALLY exploded to an easy win in his qualifier but never made the start with a new driver in the bike; Gingras is back here. (2) GLOBAL DAYTRADER S has done nothing wrong in three trips to the track. Race 5: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot This looks like the trickiest race in the Pick 5. (8) AMERICAN BEAUTY gets stuck with another outside post but does enjoy quite a bit of class relief. Royally bred daughter of Walner and All The Time has every right to be a good horse. (3) DANZNQUEEN HANOVER finished with good late trot in her first career start. (7) BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL made a nice move two starts back and did close reasonably well last time. I wouldn't be shocked if she was sent to the front tonight. Race 6: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace - $50K GTD PICK-4 (6) DONT FENCE ME IN sprinted home in 25 4/5 in her lone start while finishing second behind #3. I lean to her since she put in a credible qualifier on July 10. (7) ONECROOKEDLEG went for just $9,000 at Lexington and apparently has been able to overcome her leg issue. She's looked good in every trip to the track. (3) MAX CONTRACT was super in her career debut but hasn't raced in 27 days. I'll take a good look at her on the track before making any decisions. (8) SWEET ROCK DEO flew home for an impressive win in her first qualifier and broke the next time out. I think there could be more to her than we've seen. Race 7: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot (6) MISSWALNER FASHION comes in with the question of having missed four weeks of action, but trainer Jim Campbell tends to have his horses ready off the bench. This Walner homebred put in a couple of very nice efforts in the morning. (5) GRACELYN HANOVER raced very well in NJSS before the final. This field is clearly softer. (3) MIDNITE EXPRESS G switched to Tetrick and stayed trotting in her most recent qualifier. McCarthy drives now but should be able to get along with her. Race 8: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace (9) QUICK SNAP showed what he can do with an impressive rally to be second behind the second fastest 2-year-old winner of 2021 thus far. The only question here is whether he'll be handled aggressively enough to get in play. (1) CAVIART CAMDEN went insane fractions and paid the price most recently. Huntsville colt has already proven himself with a win. (3) HUNTS POINT rallied well in his lone qualifier and David Miller chose this guy over the Joe Holloway-trained #7; hmmm. (10) JK VICTORY clearly has ability as evidenced by three solid qualifiers; post hurts. (7) EARLY ACTION switched tactics and exploded in the stretch to win his career debut. He could be overlooked here but probably shouldn't. Race 9: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot (7) COWBOY CRUSHN cruised in her two qualifiers before breaking on the first turn at Saratoga. Chapter Seven-sired daughter of $838K winner Cowgirl Hall moves back to the big track and deserves a second chance despite Miller choosing #3. (4) MORE THAN EVER has done little wrong while progressing nicely. (1) SELFIE QUEEN probably has the most pure speed but also can't seem to mind her manners; tough call. Race 10: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace - $50K GTD PICK-4 There is plenty of talent in this group but I became married to (1) NIKI HILL as a top selection after watching her finish very willingly in her latest qualifier. Half-sister to recent Haughton and 1:46 4/5 winner Cattlewash could be any type. That Dexter Dunn chose her over #'s 2, 4 and 5 says something as well. (4) ST NEVIS chased home willingly in a quick mile at Philly last time and seems worth consideration. (6) BOUDOIR HANOVER and (2) ALWAYS B IDYLLIC are two exceptionally bred fillies out of millionaire mares. Race 11: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot (7) JAQEN H'GHAR kept up perfectly well last time following a break in his career debut. We haven't seen his best yet and facing somewhat easier foes tonight could bring it out. (4) FAST AS THE WIND won his debut I good order and seems like the potential favorite now. (5) WALL OF MONI disappointed a bit last week. There is some ability here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 12: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3/3YO NW4) or $20,000 life/Maidens draw inside (3) PIRATE HANOVER has been stuck against much better foes than he faces tonight. After weeks of getting small checks he can finally shine here. (7) ALWAYS B SWEET reeled off a huge mile at Philly last time and if he can repeat it, watch out! (5) TRUFFLE DOG moves into the barn of the leader trainer off a win, but he has missed 25 days of racing. Race 13: TrackMaster 74.5 (NW L3 75.5) or less/AE: NW 1 race in 2021 with 20 starts (6) ODDS ON WALKOVER was hung to dry in his first start over the track. Now he faces a field with no early speed and barely any form. He really should take this group down the road. (2) SHEZLIMITLESS N picks up Dunn and deserves a look on that angle alone. (5) STELLA’S PHELLA stands at an abysmal 5 for 207 lifetime, but his form isn't nearly as bad and he likes to finish second and third. (1) BIONIC wasn't awful in his last try here, though that's not really a ringing endorsement.
