CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 250-78-58-33 / $445.20 (-$54.80) BEST BETS: 20-12-2-2 / $44.60 (+4.60) SPOT PLAYS: 19-4-6-1 / $14.60 (-$23.40) BEST BET: DOUBLE ACCOUNT (10th) SPOT PLAY: SCRAPPIN GOLD (14th) Race 1: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Trot - Pick 5 (4) LITTLE EXPENSIVE rated and sprinted home nicely in his career debut. First foal from a $500K-earning mare seems to have landed in another good spot without much early speed to his inside. (6) PARAMOUNT LEGEND N has a conditioning edge with a couple of starts under his belt but hasn't been able to get over the top. (5) TE AMO LINDY qualified well last time out. Muscle Hill colt hails from top connections. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Trot (5) SOME KINDA CRAZY looked very good in his qualifier on July 2 and then landed in post 8 on a half mile track, a death sentence in terms of chances to win. Crazy Wow youngster should have every chance to shine versus this field. (7) DAHLQUIST HANOVER took a shot and raced reasonably well versus a better group last time. McCarthy jumped ship for his main account on #3 but that is to be expected. (1) THE FAST LANE is just the third foal from a $460K earner in Livininthefastlane. Full sister Eazy Pass showed some ability when not making breaks at age 2. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Trot - Pick 6 (7) FRENCH WINE seems to be too fast for this group just going by his last qualifier, Mare hasn't thrown a top horse since French Laundry in 2012 but perhaps the first colt by Bar Hopping will be the winning ticket. (2) SEVEN OVER raced on the smaller track last time and could enjoy the switch to the big track. (6) INTERNATIONAL MAN is a half-brother to Raised By Lindy, who had a very nice year as a 2-year-old in 2021. Race 4: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot (7) GRANDE' sat behind gappers last time and finished up willingly with no shot behind an absolute killer in Royal Filly (race 8). She's the first foal from the great Ariana G ($2.4 million), who was a freak of a 2-year-old herself. (3) UNICORN BLUE CHIP finished up very willingly last time while showing no signs of breaking. Mare has thrown a number of precocious youngsters. (5) BOND went down the road impressively in her career debut and certainly deserves respect. Race 5: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Pace - Survivor 7 (7) CAPTAIN'S CHOICE was a very sharp and confident winner in his second qualifier. The price should be right to take a shot with this Captaintreacherous homebred, though Zeron did elect for #3, so read into that what you will. (2) HUNGRY MAN and (6) CAPTAIN PLANET both chased a fast foe in Blue Lou through a 1:51 1/5 mile last time and deserve respect here. Race 6: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Pace (8) SAVE AMERICA finished willingly inside last time and rolled down the road in less than ideal conditions in his first qualifier. Half-brother to a couple of big early earners is worth your attention. (5) HUNGRY ANGEL BOY just missed in his latest morning effort and already owns a 1:51 4/5 win. (4) KOPI LUWAK has paced consecutive miles in the 1:52 range with 26 and change kickers. If they mix it up he could be coming late. Race 7: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot - $50K GTD Pick 4 (2) MY ANNA'S DREAM was a safe winner in her latest qualifier while chopping five seconds off her win time from a week prior. If she steps forward again this group is in trouble. (1) KITTY HAWK S was asked and broke in her debut. She could be forgotten here off the miscue. (8) HEART ON FIRE is a half-sister to a good former 2-year-old in Fourth Dimension, who ironically is the sire of #1. She also lured Dexter Dunn off my top pick. Race 8: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot This is a very good match-up between (7) BRUNELLA and (9) ROYAL FILLY. The former looked super qualifying and simply toyed with her rivals at The Meadows with Jimmy Takter in the bike. Let's give her the slight edge over the latter, who couldn't have looked any better winning on July 2 and is a full sister to both 4YO Ahundreddollarbill ($748K) and 3YO Slay ($214K). (4) CROATIA aborted a leave, went around a dull foe and trotted home steadily in her lone qualifier. I expect to see more here. Race 9: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace - Pick 6 (6) BELLISIMA HANOVER finished up very willingly in her latest morning effort. Millionaire broodmare's only other foal has made over $325K and owns a 1:48 3/5 mark. (4) CULTURED won as expected at first asking and I get the feeling if they go faster up front she'll have a chance at a new lifetime mark. (1) DEVILISH DREAMS has been out-finished twice despite 26 1/5 final quarters. Eventually she'll pick up that elusive win. Race 10: Non-winners $10,500 in last 5 or 6 (NW L2 7) races life/TM 84.5 (NW L3 85.90) or less (6) DOUBLE ACCOUNT draws inside his main foes and gets a key class drop. Seven-year-old likes it on the lead and I'll be shocked if Miller doesn't send him to the top. (8) CRYSTAL FASHION raced very well after a months-long hiatus. He certainly has the class to destroy these if 100%. (7) THIRD SHIFT has come back from a lengthy absence and raced well; this is tougher. Race 11: Kindergarten 2YO Colt Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4 (6) BLUE LOU uncorked a sparkling mile in his career debut. He could have more company if he leaves the gate hard this week so don't accept too short of a price. (8) EL REY powered away impressively in his July 2 qualifier and his full sister Don't Fence Me In was a 1:50 2/5 winning 2-year-old last year. My only concern is that he may get a conservative steer and have too many to pass. (2) CAPTAIN VAN GOGH was a very game winner in his most recent qualifier. This colt is coming around and potentially ready for a big mile. Race 12: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace (5) REGGAE HANOVER finished up with good energy in her most recent qualifier, which seems to be a trend for these Riverview horses making their debuts tonight. She'll likely need a bit of help on the front to set her up but the ability is there. (7) SEASHELL flashed speed at both ends of her mile on July 2. Big-ticket item at Lexington last fall is a full sister to $1.2 million earner Blue Diamond Eyes. (2) CAVIART MARCELLA seems to turn the corner in her most recent start. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 13: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) races life/Maidens draw inside (2) PINK COCO CHANEL kept her act together last time and delivered. If she behaves again, this daughter of Cantab Hall is fastest. (8) SOUTHWIND DOMINO & (9) MONKEY QUEEN are the ones to consider if the top one makes a mistake. Race 14: TrackMaster 74 (NW L3/5 74.5/75) (2) SCRAPPIN GOLD has been racing very well from tough posts with an amateur in the bike who didn't have much interest in visiting the pylons; expecting a big effort here. (1) VILLAGE CHAMP is back on the big track where he was doing good work. (5) ALWAYS A FORCE is another switching to a pro driver and also coming off a nice mile. (7) BARGAIN SHOPPER improved nicely on the barn change.
