CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 104-34-18-14 / $188.00 (-$20.00) BEST BETS: 8-6-1-1 / $25.30 (+9.30) SPOT PLAYS: 7-2-1-1 / $6.20 (-$7.80) BEST BET: ATOMIC BLAST N (2nd) SPOT PLAY: IDEATION HANOVER (5th) Race 1: GSY 2 Pace - Pick 5 (6) CHEYENNE RYAN LEE has good form and one of the best drivers in the series at the helm. He'll be smart enough to see that off the pace is the way to go with speed on both sides of him. (7) HURRIKANE GEORGIE, like most of the horses from this barn, is on fire. Getting the front may prove difficult this week but I'm sure Kleinhans will have a plan B in case #5 won't yield. (1) TUXEDO BAY hails from a barn that has been super in these amateur races. Even though his last race wasn't awesome, you can't count him out. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: TrackMaster 77.5 (NW L3/5 78/78.5) or less (6) ATOMIC BLAST N is razor sharp but ran into an even better foe the last two weeks. There is no such obstacle here keeping him from the winner's circle. (1) ACES ROCK and (7) NIALL HANOVER both turned the corner on barn changes in recent weeks and figure to keep their form. (3) BUNGALOW BILL N has been consistently in the money; exotics player. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) or $31,500 life/Maidens draw inside - Survivor 7 (7) YANABA returned from a five-week forced break and turned in a solid winning performance. Trixton filly gets to come back in the same class and should be even better in her second start back. (2) PINK COCO CHANEL posted a sharp qualifier with a big final quarter and is finally ready to make her pari-mutuel debut as a 3-year-old. Half-sister to the fastest trotter in history Homicide Hunter seems to have ability. (5) GRACELYN HANOVER gets class relief but not necessarily an easy spot this week. Race 4: Non-winners $3,000 in last 5/TM 76.5 (NW L3 77) or less (3) HAMMER TIME gets class and post relief in his third start back from a mini vacation. I'd be surprised if Landy doesn't air him out on the engine here. (2) NATURAL KEMP put in a sharp effort in his first start for this barn and Callahan gets the call now. (4) NEVER MIND N broke in start one for new trainer Harris but could certainly turn things around in a hurry. (8) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES is highly likely to break but capable of winning. The risk won't be worth the reward. Race 5: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L5 $3,850) in last 5 or 2 in 2021-22/TM 77 (NW 2L5 78.80) or less (9) IDEATION HANOVER has just so-so form and the worst post, but this gal just seems to wake up when at the bottom level here. I'm expecting new driver Tim Tetrick to be firing off the gate. (5) SHEER TALENT was second in this class last time and a major threat if the top one isn't on her game. (6) BE BEST has been in the money more than 50% of the time this year. Race 6: GSY 1 Pace - Pick 6 (5) BILBO HANOVER is sharp enough to win but hasn't been able to get a smooth trip. This field is as soft as they come and he has no excuses in here. (7) HAYMITCH switches back to Monaco in the bike and perhaps she'll fire this guy out. (4) MASTER CONRAD should revert to off-the-pace tactics here and close for a decent piece. Race 7: TrackMaster 70 (NW 2L5 71.90) or less/NW $285 PS in 2022 (2) WHAT THE LUCK lands in the Estrada barn and he's a whiz at getting new acquisitions to fire a big shot. Miller chose #5 but Tetrick is a great replacement. (5) S MCKEE was used too hard last time and was too far back in his previous start; catch driver tonight. (7) ENGLISH ROSE N gets monster trainer and driver changes here. (6) PERSEVERANT took two years off so it was no surprise that he needed a few starts to find himself. Is he up to winning at the Big M? Race 8: Non-winners $7,500 in last 5 or 3 races in 2021-22/TM 82 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 We'll stick with the class-droppers here and lean to (3) CELEBRATE WITH ME, a mare I've been avoiding as a top pick for weeks. She comes off a break which should improve her price, but notice she finished well in that mile. This is her week. (4) HENDERSON SEELSTER tends to wake up when he drops in company. I would've preferred Miller in the bike but Tetrick will do. (8) SHINKANSEN has the early speed to fire to the front, though I prefer him underneath. Race 9: GSY 1 Pace (4) VILLAGE CHAMP comes to town with a two-race winning streak and faces a soft group for The Meadowlands. (6) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE is one of the only horses who has been racing and doing reasonably well here. Veteran should love the competition. (3) JERRYTONE could be firing out this week with somewhat limited speed to his inside. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 10: Non-winners $14,000 (NW 2L5 $16,000) in last 5 or 6 races life/TM 88 or less (5) FAST AS THE WIND was raced conservatively as expected to start his 3-year-old campaign. It's only 50/50 as to whether he'll try to leave hard off the gate, but this field has enough live horses that he'll get towed into the race nicely from behind if those are the tactics. (3) SWINGFORTHEFENCES hasn't shown much lately but really hasn't been that bad either. You could get a price here on a capable horse. (2) DELAYED HANOVER was strangely handled conservatively in what looked like an easy spot last time and that worries me that perhaps he isn't firing on all cylinders. Still, he has a big chance here. (4) JL CRUZE is always capable of going down the road when feeling good. Race 11: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L5 $3,850) in last 5 or 2 in 2021-22/TM 77 (NW 2L5 78.80) or less (7) VINTAGE GAL has seen success here in the past and she picks up a new driver as well. I'm expecting an aggressive drive. (3) DOUBLEOFFTHEWALL looked very good in her qualifier behind a quality young lady. (1) KAITLYN N shows a win in a similar class a few starts back; using. (10) SHE KNOWS IT ALL will need some luck from post 10 but she can be involved with the right trip.
