CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 153-48-32-22 / $274.00 (-$32.00) BEST BETS: 12-8-1-2 / $31.90 (+7.90) SPOT PLAYS: 11-3-3-1 / $11.00 (-$11.00) BEST BET: IDEAL STAR N (7th) SPOT PLAY: TIMESTORM (5th) Race 1: GSY 1 Pace - Pick 5 (10) DREAM OUT LOUD N likely got handicapped post 10 as he has dominated this series over the last month. 15-year-old is simply too sharp to play against with confidence. (9) FERDINAND A left hard and chased home the winner for second last week and has a good shot at the same outcome here. (4) MV OK PALACIO BR is always a closing threat and there is enough outside speed to set him up. That said, he'll need the outside horses to be pushed hard to win. (5) TAKEITTOTHEFACE has a win and two seconds in his last three starts against GSY 1 company. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Inside Harness Series for 3YO C&G Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) or $22,500 life (8) FINN PALEMA has looked pretty darn good in two career starts and there is no reason to think Svanstedt won't put him in play despite the outside post. (2) MAJESTIC J took a big step forward last time when second behind the top pick. (6) FRANK THE ELDER added Lasix and found early speed last Saturday. He needs to go a bit faster but seems like a player. (3) SENNA was looking good in early May but has gone the wrong way lately. Maybe returning home will help. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Inside Harness Series for 3YO C&G Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) or $22,500 life - Survivor 7 (8) KEN'S WALNER found himself last time and faces a blank field here. There is no reason he shouldn't go down the road. (7) STREET SMARTS rolled with hobbles added for the second time in his most recent qualifier. If they have him figured out he could give the top one some trouble. (5) TROYCEN wasn't awful in his qualifier and Landy elects to use Tetrick in the bike; interesting. (1) LIVINGONTHERAIL switches to the big track and moves into the Burke barn; worth a look. Race 4: GSY 1 Pace (1) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE moves to the inside of the gate and lands in an ideal spot against a mostly dull field. Expect some early speed to secure position and a strong effort. (6) JERRYTONE has the ability to fire to the front and could very well get a clear shot at the lead if he does. (4) ALWAYS AS FAST has decent form and one of the better amateurs in the bike. Race 5: Non-winners $10,500 in last 5/TM 84.65 or less/3YO Fillies draw inside (4) TIMESTORM was scratched-sick last week and maybe that was a good thing because he had no shot of winning. Now he returns in a lower class and has the early speed to take charge. (1) YANABA almost made a miraculous recovery last time. She's taking on older foes but is certainly good enough to win with a small step forward. (8) CHIPLOSIVE is better from an inside post but capable given the right trip. Race 6: 4-Year-Old Open Trot - $50K GTD Pick 4 Small but talented field here and we'll try (3) SONOFAMISTERY. He was just fourth in a 1:51 mile most recently, though that race didn't matter much in the overall scheme of things. Let's look for him to head to the front here and sit closer as he prepares for bigger things. (4) AHUNDREDDOLLARBILL has looked very good in the morning and bad when the money has been down. Let’s give him one more look this week. (1) VENERATE was great here beating the top pick and less than great at Mohawk; capable on best. Race 7: TrackMaster 80 (NW L3/2L5/10 80.5/81.31/81.44) or less (10) IDEAL STAR N has simply been too fast for the competition in his last two starts and if he can come close to those miles again he'll overcome post 10 without issue. (1) ATOMIC BLAST N chased home the top pick last week and seems destined to do it again. (7) TUXEDO BAY, (8) MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING and (6) PARTY BOY all get driver changes and any could step up. Race 8: Trackmaster 70 (NW L3/5 70.5/71) or less Series/Opt. $5,000 Claiming - $5,731 Pick 6 Carryover (7) S MCKEE finished well last time and rolls back in the same class versus a very dull group. (1) HAYMITCH got caught in a blistering 1:51 4/5 mile last time. This race shouldn't go anywhere near as fast. (8) LIKE A COWBOY picks up Gingras and figures to be leaving the gate. Race 9: Tompkins-Geers - 2YO Fillies All of these fillies looked at least decent in their initial qualifiers, which makes this race a bit of a head-scratcher. Let's look for some value with (5) TWIN BE JOE FRESH, the first foal by an unraced Captaintreacherous mare, and co-owned by the trainer and driver. She sports the slowest time of the group but was finishing very willingly late and looked to have more left in the tank. (9) LIONESS BY THE SEA is a half-sister to three six-figure winners including Queen Of The Pride ($787K). The qualifier looked good and I like that McCarthy landed here over #1, who showed some go as well. (6) STOP THE SHOW owns the fastest qualifier by far and the biggest sales price by far, which will lead to likely favoritism; capable underlay. Race 10: $20,000-$35,000 Claiming Handicap - $50K GTD Pick 4 (4) RAPTORS FLIGHT N races big in this class week after week but rarely goes off the favorite. That will likely change here, but the trip should work out nicely with him on the lead or in the pocket. (8) WRAPPERS DELIGHT A fired down the road in his last appearance at this level. (5) COOL BLUES MAN improved in his second start for this barn but tends to be pace dependent. Race 11: Non-winners 2 (NW L3) or $22,500 life (3) JAYA BAE is a talented young lady who is still figuring out how to race. If Sears can keep her trotting this week there is no reason she won't win. (9) PINK COCO CHANEL basically falls under the same category as the top pick but didn't draw quite as well. (7) MONKEY QUEEN has looked good in the morning and Gingras picks up the drive now; interesting. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 12: Trackmaster 70 (NW L3/5 70.5/71) or less Series/Opt. $5,000 Claiming (8) BRIGADOON came within a fifth of his career mark last week in the same class and anything close to a repeat performance would mean another easy win. (4) IT’S RIGGED chased home the top pick last time and a repeat seems likely. (9) SCRAPPIN GOLD goes from facing 15K claimers to $5K, so a wake-up is very possible. Race 13: Non-winners $3,000 in last 5/TM 76.5 (NW L3/5 77/77.5) or less (9) TUESDAY MORNING ships in for a good barn and faces a blank field. Let's take a shot. (3) NATURAL KEMP has been good at following and finishing with some trot when here. (1) MYREANNA is fast enough to win if she can mind her manners. Maybe the new driver tonight will help. (5) BIG CHARLIE MORAN comes off a decent effort but is far from reliable.
