Race 1: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace - Pick 5

(2) ATTA BOY DAN wasn’t going very far from post 10 last time. He’s back on the inside of the gate and facing a field that seems to be allergic to the winner’s circle. (7) ROLLWITDAPONYZZZ comes back to town and gets in with much softer competition; big threat and a horse I’ll have on my Pick 5 tickets. (3) SO TAKE THAT rallied very well last week and perhaps that a sign of a form spree for this 15-year-old.

Race 2: Non-winners $2,000 (NW L2 $2,200) to $3,000 in last 4 - Survivor 7

(7) KOOTENAY SANTANNA was up against it from post eight last time and now he gets to drop back down to the conditioned basement; expect early speed! (2) ALTA BLUES A double drops in class and has every right to awaken. (8) LITERL LAD HANOVER rallied well against better last time and might be more forwardly placed here.

Race 3: Play Meadowlands Non-winners 2 races Final

(2) ST PAULI GIRL made the front from the outside post last time but got backed into by the filly she yielded to and nearly run into by a breaker in the stretch. Her luck has to be better in this five-horse field. (1) TOVE PALEMA has righted the ship with hobbles added and is probably the one to beat here. (5) VALENTINA RICHIE would’ve been a clear second last time if not for an untimely break at the wire.

Race 4: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 2 Pace - Pick 6

(5) MUSCLE FACTORY A moves inside a bunch of spots on the gate and Yogi elects to drive this week. He’ll certainly be put in play; Yogi’s choice. (4) MAJORLY SEXY A got a perfect trip and took care of business last week; threat with another good setup. (8) WHAMMER JAMMER and (9) ROCK ON LINE are both capable given the right pace setup.

Race 5: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 or NJ Sired 3/Fillies 4) races or $20,000 life/Maidens draw inside

(2) GLAMOROUS HANOVER took a fair amount of money and broke against a field where half of them would easily be favored in here. If she trots I suspect she wins. (3) CHAPARMBRO gets a big driver change here to Dunn and while she should improve, the price will also be a little lower than it should be. (7) BRIGHT STAR caught a good trip and set a lifetime mark two starts back; trip threat.

Race 6: Graduate Trot - $50K GTD Pick 4

(2) SPECIAL WAY looked like a special horse as a 2-year-old until she was sidetracked at age 3. She back in action at age 4 off a good qualifier for a barn that is known for having horses ready to fire. (7) HASTY BID comes off a good effort and enters the Takter barn. Interesting that MacDonald comes down to drive. (3) BENJAMIN HANOVER looked good before getting thrown to the wolves in the Maxie Lee last time; faces softer.

Race 7: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races or $20,000 life/Maidens draw inside

(8) NUCLEAR blew out a big mile on Monday to prepare for his 2024 debut. This barn typically sends them out ready to roll. (9) PORT ROYAL HANOVER has some ability and it will all come down to whether they put him in play tonight. (6) HUNGRY TO WIN perked up nicely with Lasix added.

Race 8: Non-winners $10,000 (NW L2 $11,021) in last 4 or in 2024 or 6 races life - Pick 6

(3) BETTERINPINEHURST got better in a hurry versus a soft group last time. This is a sizable step up the ladder but one he can handle with the confidence in place. (7) OUTSIDE THE FIRE was second behind Periculum, who would be 2-5 against this field. (9) COOL PAPA BELL got caught in a fast mile in his 2024 debut and simply didn’t have it. He’s now missed four weeks and draws outside. What will he have to offer? It is concerning that McCarthy opted off. (1) SHINKANSEN takes a giant step forward off a career best mile. Can he possibly be up to the task?

Race 9: Graduate Pace

(8) KEN HANOVER gets away from Ruthless Hanover after being a solid second behind him in a 1:47 2/5 mile last time. While this field has some talented 4-year-olds, I have to think he’ll be looking to bring his best since he missed the opening leg. (3) SEAFIRE was very good last time at Mohawk and owns a nice résumé while light in earnings. Let’s see what he is made of tonight. (5) CHRISTCHURCH found a 25 1/5 final quarter in round one of the Graduate to be second. This guy has always possessed pure speed. (4) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR has speed and form; dangerous combination.

Race 10: Graduate Trot - $50K GTD Pick 4

(4) WINNER’S BET has looked like he could do something special when seen in three qualifiers. New trainer Nancy Takter has apparently tapped into his potential and it will be interesting to see what he has in store for his 2024 debut. (2) UP YOUR DEO was awesome with a trip in his sophomore season. Will he be a more dynamic horse in 2024? (3) PONDA JET has proven himself at Hoosier and now steps onto the big stage. Can he step up?

Race 11: Graduate Pace

(2) SEVEN COLORS overcame an outside post to get the job done in round one of this series. In theory the task should be easier moving to the inside of the gate. (4) IT’S MY SHOW took off the gate and had no chance last time. I have to expect we’ll see speed tonight. (3) COMMAND heads south of the border and joins the Burke barn; improves?

Race 12: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 or NJ Sired 3/Fillies 4) races or $20,000 life/Maidens draw inside

(5) TONY ADAMS S raced very well two starts back but seemed to get the life sucked out of him chasing last tie behind a win by Karl. This is certainly an easier spot. (7) BENNY J was second in that same mile as the top pick and he’s never missed the board this year. (3) STORMCLOUDFASHION makes his debut for new connections after an online purchase for $52,000. Can Takter get him going? (1) GO FOR GAAGAA NO adds Lasix tonight.

Race 13: Trackmaster 76.5 (NW L2/2L4/L6 77/77.5/78.25) or less

(3) ROMA AMOR was done in by a soft pace last time. Let’s look for her to be kept closer to the action this time. (9) RAGS TO RICHES has been stuck in the eight-hole at Yonkers. She arrives here for a high percentage barn and could be on GO from the start. (1) TESLA POWER reunites with Dunn tonight. (5) SANATFES APPETITE won leg one of the series and obvious remains a threat here.

Race 14: Play Meadowlands Non-winners of 2 races Final

(4) BELLA’S MUSCLEHILL was absolutely loaded with late trot last week in a clear turning point moment for this guy. Let’s see what he can do off that mile. (8) FOR JULY romped in his last start and is certainly the one to beat now. (7) LIFE ON THE BLUF also comes off a blowout win here; dangerous.

Race 15: Trackmaster 69 or less

It’s hard to get excited about any of these horses. (10) DREAM PILLAR has been racing ok of late and she gets to drop a notch to the new basement TM condition. (4) LOVELY LADY MAY improved some with Zeron in the bike last time. (2) BELLACACHE could flash early speed here and hang around for a nice piece.
