CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 171-50-38-17 / $271.30 (-$70.50) BEST BETS: 11-8-1-0 / $23.90 (+$1.90) SPOT PLAYS: 12-1-3-4 / $3.80 (-$20.20) BEST BET: RANI HANOVER (5th) SPOT PLAY: STING GIRL (7th) Race 1: Exit 16W Series for NW 3 races or $30,000 life - Pick 5 (8) LUCCHESE sat behind a gapper in his 2026 debut and finished full of trot when shown daylight despite finishing just sixth. With that start under his belt, hopefully Tetrick elects to be more aggressive tonight. (1) SHE’S MONI gapped a touch in her qualifier but really kicked in nicely when asked mid-stretch. Takter trainee is a half-sister to Looks Like Moni, who also raced for this barn and was a 1:51 4/5 winner at age 3. (6) ULTIMATE BETRAYAL owns a big turn of speed for at least a short spell. He has a chance here but may be overbet with McCarthy taking over the lines. (3) CROSSOVER beat the top pick last time and certainly has a shot at repeating, though it won’t come easy at a short price. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NJSDF 3YO C&G Pace (6) CALLMEBIGPAPI likely picked up some confidence rolling over a soft field at Pocono last time. Prior to that he was in the TSS series, which can play a bit tougher than the NJSDF on the pacing side. (2) STINGMAN and (1) OBLITERATE exchanged wins in the former’s last two starts at The Meadowlands. Both are very capable. (5) EVERLAST STING DEO comes off a break and his prior starts here versus much better don’t look great, but don’t let that scare you away from a horse that is very much in his element versus this field. Race 3: Exit 16W Series for NW 3 races or $30,000 life - Pick 6 (4) ROCKNACIOUS drops out of the NJSS where he was facing a number of foes that would be odds-on in this field. You have to think he’ll shine in this spot. (1) SOUNDS SO SWEET has early speed, form and an inside post. You may even get a decent price on a horse that already owns a 1:50 4/5 win at Philly. (3) TOBY ORNOT TOBY was facing some of the better 3-year-olds in the sport when last seen on May 16. The main concern tonight is the nearly four weeks of inactivity. Race 4: Graduate 4YO Open Pace (7) BRUNO NO NO NO is the one horse in this field that has proven he can win in 1:48 this year. He’s also shown that he can go a 53 half and live to tell about it. While others may prove to be better than him down the road, he’s the choice this week. (5) GO GO GRASSHOPPER was under a big hold behind the gate and still came away on the lead. He them posted a big mile while under a drive, likely getting him tuned up for tonight. (4) SMOOTH DREAM didn’t get the anticipated start last time because the connections didn’t want his first start since last August to be over a sloppy track. Will he be tuned up for a 1:48 mile tonight? I have mixed feelings but would play him at 4-1 or higher. Race 5: NJ Sire Stakes Silver 3YO Filly Trot Final (5) RANI HANOVER got a perfect trip last time but the way she strode out in the stretch gives me hope that she may be able to realize some of the power from her bloodlines. She’s clearly the one to beat in my book. (2) WISHUPONASTAR DEO won both preliminary legs of this series and dug in nicely to hold off a filly that didn’t seem to want to go past last time. She’s a clear contender but one I’ll try to beat as the potential chalk. (8) LADY ON THE HILL dealt with some stretch traffic last week, though I didn’t think she was loaded with trot while finishing willingly. If Svanstedt fires her off the gate and she takes a small step forward, she could be a win player. Race 6: $225,000 NJ Sire Stakes Platinum 3YO Filly Trot Final - $50K GTD Pick 4 (8) NAKED AND FAMOUS took care of business easily enough upon arrival and should be hustling to the front in this spot. She isn’t Hambletonian Oaks eligible and must make the most of these races. (1) EMMAS MYSTERY CCL took plenty of air and raced well to be third last time. She isn’t the biggest horse in the world and works better with cover. (4) MADAM CHEVAL has been as honest as they come in three starts this year. If the race plays out in her favor she can win. (9) JAILBIRD JOG hasn’t done much wrong in 2026. Can she work out a trip from the outside post? Race 7: NJSDF 3YO Filly Pace (7) STING GIRL has taken giant steps forward in her last couple of starts and hats off to trainer Joe Holloway for getting her to this point. She’ll need to step up a bit more tonight but seems to have the talent. (9) SHE STINGS has early speed and form but has been having issues getting into the win column. (3) NAPALM was third best in the Platinum final and is clearly taking on softer here. Race 8: Graduate 4YO Open Trot - Pick 5 Despite some red flags I’m going to stick with (4) GO DOG GO as my top pick. He has immense talent and it doesn’t hurt that Lasix is back in play. That said, don’t accept under 3-1. (8) MR MOUTON was used to the top and came up second best in Canada. He can turn the tables on that foe and others with a smooth journey. (6) SUPER CHAPTER makes his 4-year-old debut off a sharp qualifier where he won easily. I respect his win chances but fear he could be overbet. (5) MONSERRATE has won two straight and took leg one of the Graduate; obvious player. Race 9: NJSDF 3YO C&G Pace (1) BOOKIE J jumps off the page and should get the job done in a paid public workout. (7) THISBEESTINGS DEO was used last time and paid the price. He has a good shot to be second here. (8) ADONIS BLUE CHIP is perfect in two trips to the track and now gets his first real test. Is he up to it? Race 10: $225,000 NJ Sire Stakes Platinum 3YO C&G Trot Final - $50K GTD Pick 4 (3) APEX looked to be spinning his wheels on the turn but kicked home with an insane 25 2/5 final quarter to just miss last Friday. With the big money on the line we could see some early speed this week. (5) ARDONNE has gone two sneaky-good miles to start the year. He should either be gunning off the gate or following potential live cover from (4) DIABOLIC HILL, who took air last time and came up short. That being his first start of 2026, I wouldn’t be afraid to play him if ignored on the tote board. (6) AMERICAN POWER has yet to taste defeat this year but will need a career-best mile to keep that record of perfect intact. Race 11: Graduate 4YO Open Trot The moment is finally here when we truly get to see how good of a horse (8) ON TO NORWAY is as he leaves Indiana for the first time and brings his 26—race win streak with him. He has a conditioning edge on some of these and owns the ability to race from on or off the pace. He gets the edge in a talented field. (4) WARRIOR looks like a potential value play as a horse that has a couple of races under his belt now and potentially could fire off the wings of the gate with Svanstedt back in the bike. (3) DELANEY HANOVER comes off two solid qualifiers, the last of which saw her bottled up in the pocket with no chance to stretch her legs. (9) WALSPEA is off a Miss Versatility win and she adds the aggressive Bartlett to the team; respect. (6) MESHUGGAH has turned in a pair of solid qualifiers of his own. He was more of a trip horse last year. If that has changed in 2026, watch out! Race 12: Graduate 4YO Open Pace (6) CAPTAIN OPTIMISTIC was super off the bench to start his year and then just ok last time in a dead heat for second. Perhaps having a few weeks off will benefit him like it did in start one. (1) TWSITED DESTINY is the horse that tied with the top pick in the Send It In but has gone on to tackles older foes with good success since; clear player. (8) FALLOUT uncorked a monster mile last time at The Meadows and if that is what he has to offer going forward this field is in trouble. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 13: Exit 16W Series for NW 3 races or $30,000 life (5) YGRITTE has yet to lose this year and doesn’t exactly catch the toughest group here, though she does face all boys. Hopefully we see some early speed so she doesn’t have too much ground to close late. (1) HIGHBALL HANOVER was up against Endurance to start his 2026 campaign and wasn’t going to shine there. Maybe start two will produce better results. (7) GUSTAV is certainly fast enough to contend if he elects to behave. Race 14: NJ Sire Stakes Silver 3YO C&G Trot Final (5) NIX NACKEN did all he could but even a 26 second final quarter wasn’t enough to overcome the fractions put up by (6) KING OF THE WIND last time. The race has more contenders and should allow the top pick to have a better pace to chase. The latter is clearly the one to beat but doesn’t seem worth too short of a price. (1) ICE FALL has yet to get a win this year but has been knocking at the door. Perhaps he’ll get the right trip from the inside post.
