BEST BETS: 24-14-4-2 / $49.60 (+1.60)
SPOT PLAYS: 24-5-7-2 / $34.20 (-$13.80)
BEST BET: TANGO DANCER N (6th)
SPOT PLAY: YANKEE OSBORNE (2nd)
Race 1: GSY 2 Pace - Pick 5
(6) ORILLA JOE lands in a good spot for capable amateur Joe Pennacchio. Classy 12-year-old figures to be put in play. While there is a fair amount of early speed in the field, (9) TUXEDO BAY is capable of darting to the front despite the bad draw and was second in this class last out. (4) SEEUINNASHVILLE A has never won a race since coming over from Australia. New connections try the amateur ranks in hopes of better luck.

Race 2: Non-winners $3,000 in last 5/TM 77.5 (NW L3 78) or less
Trainer returns from a 120-day stay in the penalty box with (5) YANKEE OSBORNE and seems to have found a decent race with mostly formless foes. This guy took a nice tour of the track from a bad post at Philly last time and should be ready to show more now. (6) ANA MALAK N and (4) EMBLAZE HANOVER are both down in class and capable but neither has been a win machine of late.

Race 3: TrackMaster Series Leg 1 for 74.5 (NW L3/5 75/75.85) or less - Survivor 7
(7) BUNGALOW BILL N wired a field in this class last time and seems to be in form now. (5) ALWAYS A FORCE is a bit of a hanger but still very competitive at this level. (4) SVENGALI exits the amateur ranks where he has been wearing down his foes and now finds a great spot against bottom-level TM competition. Unfortunately he doesn't have a catch-driver.
Race 4: Non-winners 2 (NW L5 3) races or $20,000 life/Maidens draw inside
(6) HALLIANCE came first-over and dominated in her 2022 debut. Despite the driver change with Dunn over at Yonkers, I have a hard time looking past this daughter of Cantab Hall. (5) CREEATION qualified very well in her first outing for new trainer Ron Burke. While she was soundly defeated, she finished up nicely while well within herself. (4) MANUKA was never getting to the top pick last time but did race well. New driver is not a plus. (1) YANABA is a bit of an unknown here. It would be no shock if the light bulb went on over the winter and she can play with these.
Race 5: GSY 1 Pace
I'm not quite ready to get off (9) WINNER IS COMING. I'm convinced there is a big mile coming from him in the near future and will wait a couple more starts before giving up hope. (2) MISTY MEMORY N ships up sharp from Florida and the warmer weather expected this weekend should help her cause. I'd expect her to be forwardly placed. (3) TAKEITTOTHEFACE goes out for a barn that has seen some success in these amateur races; trip player.
Race 6: TrackMaster 79.5 (NW 2L5 80.5) or less - $50K GTD Pick 4
(3) TANGO DANCER N hasn't been able to find her groove in 2022 but really does land in the perfect race this week. I'd expect a down-the-road try here. (1) TENTHOUSAND ANGELS didn't have it last time but was sharp two back. Which mare shows up this week? (5) ARNIE'S ANGEL raced well in her first start back from a three month break; more now?
Race 7: GSY 1 Pace
(7) TJ BLAST reunites with top amateur Verruso and gets the narrow call in a tricky race. (5) WATCHMENEIGHNEIGH woke up in a big way last Friday. Can he put forth an encore performance? (8) BIG BAD BILL has good early speed and decent form; hard to toss. (4) STATESMAN N grinded down th field last time and can do it again if they mix it up on the front.
Race 8: Non-winners $5,000 (NW L2 $5,500) in last 5/TM 79.5 or less - Pick 6
(9) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES absolutely hung last week but I don't care at all. What's important is that he showed no signs of breaking. His best is much the best in this field. (7) CHIPLOSIVE flashed speed and finished just ahead of the top pick a week ago; contender. (4) SPIRIT OF DEO returns here at a much reduced level and seems like a fit. I'll have a close eye on him during the score-down. (1) AMADOR is another class-dropper in the field worth consideration.
Race 9: GSY 1 Pace
This looks like the rare amateur race with tons of speed so I'm going to try (6) PREPPY ART in the hopes that Calabrese will gun this veteran to the front. (7) CECIL CASANOVA has been a consistent player in these race. (1) DREAM OUT LOUD N has early speed and pylon position; using.
Race 10: Non-winners $10,500 in last 5 or $60,000 life/TM 84.5 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4
(4) FOX VALLEY EXPLOIT lands in a better spot this week and a change of tactics to a more aggressive approach seems likely. (6) CYCLONE SISTER has been killin' it down at Dover. (2) IDEATION HANOVER has a couple of starts under her belt now after the break in action; could improve.
Race 11: TrackMaster 74.5 (NW L5 75.2) or less
(2) SO DELIGHTFUL wasn't bad in her return from the sidelines and any improvement would put her in the driver's seat to win. (8) WINNING WORDS burned a bunch of money last time when she broke and now should offer much better value coming back in the same class. (5) KNOW YOUR ROLL comes up from Maryland/Delaware with form and Callahan has gotten along with her in the past.

Race 12: TrackMaster Series Leg 1 for 74.5 (NW L3/5 75/75.85) or less
(3) VINTAGE GAL and (2) GALACTIC GALLEON N are both getting major driver changes from amateurs to catch-drivers. I'll lean to the former since the price will likely be higher. (9) BRONSONS DELIGHT goes first time for new connections but has missed four weeks of action. He will probably need a start.
Race 13: Non-winners $3,000 in last 5 or $5,600 in last 8/TM 75.85 or less
(5) FIX-IT-UP stayed flat last week and that had to be the main goal against a field that he simply couldn't beat. This group is much softer and I wouldn't be surprised to see a more aggressive try. (3) EPOS OSTERVANG DK has early speed and form; hard to toss; exotics must. (10) KISS AN ANGEL did good work with hobbles added in her first try for Cano. This is a weak field but you have to think she'll need a start, right? (6) TRENTS A LOCK has been good at getting into the lower exotics; driver change this week.
