MEET STATS: 246-55-38-35 / $333.60 (-$158.40) BEST BETS: 18-9-3-2 / $33.20 (-2.80) SPOT PLAYS: 18-4-3-2 / $30.20 (-$5.80) BEST BET: P L OSCAR (4th) SPOT PLAY: JUSTLIKEHIM (1st) Race 1: Non-winners $10,500 in last 5/TM 85 or less - Pick 5 (2) JUSTLIKEHIM certainly has the early speed to get around the #1 and while he appears to be up in class, this field came up soft for the condition. (4) MEADOWBRANCH RICKY has been ultra-consistent of late but also figures to be the favorite in here. He's really not worth betting as the chalk. (1) NO DRAMA PLEASE makes his second start back from the layoff and could easily win with a smooth trip. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: TrackMaster 74.5 (NW L3/5 75/75.5) or less (3) HURRIKANE GEORGIE finished in 27 1/5 in his qualifier versus a group of Open-level pacers. That effort should have him tight enough off the bench. (1) NEED AROCKET comes off a sizzling qualifier of his own and has past success on a big track. Trainer Gary Levine usually brings them here live. (5) CRUNCH is back at a winning level but hardly makes me want to run to the windows. (7) MAAJAACKKOBE has the early speed to gun to the front and make some noise. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: GSY I Pace - Survivor 7 (3) SVENGALI gets another shot for me after chasing slow fractions and closing well with no shot last time. In a field lacking form, 4-year-old is a fit. (6) TAKEITTOTHEFACE has been racing reasonably well in some quick miles and should have a shot if Yarock can get a decent trip. (5) ROYAL COURTIER has the hottest amateur driver and some early speed. Will this guy awaken? (2) SETTLEMOIR moves inside this week and could be handled more aggressively with Lee taking over. Race 4: TrackMaster 77.5 (NW L3/5 77.5/78) or less (7) P L OSCAR should be firing to the front and this group could have a hard time catching him. (1) TRENTS A LOCK was just behind the top pick last week and he'll certainly be close to the pace. (2) PREACHER MAN comes to town in good form and he owns the co-fastest lifetime mark in the field. Race 5: GSY I Pace (1) SAFETY SECOND raced well in his first start off the claim and then got dealt a tough assignment from an outside post. Zuccarello has been driving rather well this year and hopefully he'll put this guy in a winning spot. (2) STATESMAN N perked up last week when hustled to the front. If he gets a slightly easier trip this time from the better post, watch out! (6) S MCKEE only has a trio of shows lately but he's in form and is another that could menace with the right journey. (3) GALACTIC GALLEON N went a big mile last weekend and will be a factor if he can repeat that performance. Race 6: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L3 $8,250) in last 5/TM 82 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 (4) DAYSON drops again this week and we'll likely find out what he has in the tank here. (2) AMADOR moves to the inside of the gate here after an even effort from post 9. He's another one that seemingly should wake up in a spot like this one, though Callahan jumped ship for #5. (7) RONNIE GOLDSTEIN put in solid performance last time but might need to pass the field to have a shot. (6) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES is the best horse in the field but in awful form. I'm not touching him but perhaps he’s worth a look on the track. Race 7: GSY I Pace (1) PREPPY ART was a solid winner two starts back before getting dealt a bad hand from post 9 last time. In a field that seems to lack an abundance of early speed, this veteran should be in striking range. (3) DOC SEMALU has been very consistent in these amateur races and a cover trip could make him tough to beat. (10) DREAM OUT LOUD N is the clear speed of the race and from post 10 he could offer fair value. Race 8: Non-winners $4,500 (NW L2 $4,980) in last 5/TM 79.55 or less - $8,335 Pick 6 Carryover (5) TANGO DANCER seemingly hasn't gone a good mile in a long, long time. That said, tonight she drops into a very soft field on the class break and she almost has to awaken. (2) RABLE takes a monster class drop out of $50,000 claimers and is another who logically should be very live. (6) SIRI BLUE CHIP moves into the Burke barn and can certainly move up. (8) LOOKATMYART gets a barn and driver change. Notice that 1:51 4/5 win here last year. Race 9: GSY 2 Pace (3) NOTABADGAME was a going away winner when last seen in the GSY ranks with Verruso driving. This field looks slightly better but there is ample early speed to set him up. (7) WAIMAC ATTACK N couldn't be any sharper right now. He's a must use. (10) TUXEDO BAY almost wired the field last week. Even from post 10 he could fire down the road. (1) CAPOZZO is a classy old guy who should be tighter in his second start back from a mini vacation. Race 10: Non-winners $10,500 in last 5 or 6 races life/TM 85.75 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4 (4) COUSIN MARY came up with a solid mile last week and there is no reason why this classy mare can't repeat. (6) DBLEDELITEBRIGADE N is very comfortable at this level; Pick 4 must. (3) A BETTER GAME probably needs the right trip to win but is certainly a capable price horse. Race 11: TrackMaster 76 (Not 3rd L3 76.4) or less (2) J ROCKIN B left and was forced into the pocket, then got shuffled and grinded out a third when sent to the rim. After a string of races on half-mile tracks, that effort should have her up to speed and give her a shot to win this week. (1) PAPPY ROCKS left, brushed and then was hopelessly trapped along the cones with nowhere to go in the stretch. Everybody saw it, which means an underlay on the toteboard. (3) SHES A SASSY BEACH is the one reason you could get some value on #1 because the trainer change to Burke is going to attract tons of money. (6) CULINARY ARTIST is the sneakier trainer change and don't be shocked if this gal races well at a price. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 12: Winners 1-2 races or $30,000 life/Maidens draw inside (7) SHEZAFREAKLIKEME chased in a quick qualifying mile which should have her ready for action. Four-year-old lays over this field if she is close to 85% of her best. (1) DANCE TICKET put in a decent effort in her career debut and more can be expected now. (5) SUGAR BOWL is the second of three from the Chiodo barn in the field along with the top pick; qualifier was strong. (8) IQ HANOVER comes over from Dover in fine form. This barn usually races here so was she at Dover because they couldn't get a race or some other reason? Race 13: Non-winners $4,500 (NW 2 L9 allowed $1,270) in last 5 or $36,000 life/TM 79.5 I don't make selections based off drivers often but when Gingras picks off a Burke horse in an overnight it is worth paying attention. (7) COLONIAL AS IT was thought to be a decent horse at one point and it never panned out. Perhaps now back as a 4-year-old the talent will come out. (4) INNISFALLEN got caught in a fast mile last time and couldn't gain late. I'm willing to give him another shot in a field where he should offer good value. (1) BIG RICH deserves a chance to show more in his second start back from the bench. (3) VINNY DE VIE drops back down to the level where he was second two starts back.
