Race 1: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace - Pick 5
(3) TEXAS MIKI hasn’t shown much while racing evenly in two starts since the claim. This looks like the ideal spot to fire off the gate and secure a close trip. (8) ATTA BOY DAN is the one confirmed early speed type in the field on the outside of the gate. 15-year-old will be firing out and seems likely to get a big piece of the pie. (1) LANESIDE LOGIC GB didn’t have the smoothest journey from the outside post last time. He could be firing out from the inside tonight.

Race 2: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races lifetime/Maidens draw inside - Survivor 7
(5) INTERNATIONALCRAZE hasn’t been seen since September but qualified back in good order. Three-year-old doesn’t have much experience outside of fair starts but doesn’t exactly face a field of killers here. (1) KINESIOLOGY is the likely favorite in her return after a good qualifier as well. That said, she’s going to be the favorite and she’s never won a race. (9) JET ZETTE has come back from vacation very nicely and if the top pair doesn’t fire she is the one I’d fear most.
Race 3: $7,500-$10,000 Claiming Handicap
(7) MONEYMAKEHERSMILE raced well to be third after chasing in a fast mile set and won by Dealer’s Table. In a soft spot tonight I can see an aggressive steer. (6) LACHIE MAGUIRE N hasn’t done much since the claim and he’s right back in for a tag now. He also sheds an amateur pilot for a catch-driver. (4) PROM KING had no shot from post eight last time and he adds David Miller here.
Race 4: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace - $6,980 Pick 8 Carryover
(1) BIONIC hasn’t done much in two starts in this class as he’s dug a big hole early and couldn’t climb out of it despite solid final quarters. The inside draw should allow him to get away closer to mid-pack and perhaps get live cover at a healthy price. (4) PREMIER JOY A raced steadily off the bench and can certainly have more with that start under his belt. (2) THNDRFRMTHETHRON N figures to show some early speed and get a piece of the exotics pie. (7) SELECT FRIDAY drops out of claimers and seems like a good fit with this group, though Yogi chose #6..
Race 5: Play Meadowlands NW5000 (NW L2 $5,501) in last 4/TM 80 (NW L2/2L4/2L10 80.5/81/81.80) or less
(8) AMADOR was handled conservatively after missing nearly six months of action and finished up with plenty of trot. Eight-year-old is very capable in this class and should have more on tap this week. (5) PAPA DOC exploded off cover to win going away in round one of the series and is clearly a big threat to repeat. (7) SMART AS HILL was hung out wide early and stayed on very well late last time. He’ll need a top effort to win but and decent mile certainly gets him into the number.
Race 6: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 1 Pace - $50K GTD Pick 4
(4) DANDY IDEA was a solid second behind the 15YO assassin Mariner Seelster last time. This guy figures to be sitting pretty behind (6) FERDINAND A here. The latter was picked off by an expiring leader last time and lost any chance. He projects to be on the engine this time. (2) KISSINBYTHEBEACHES is clearly sharp. He’s not as fast perhaps as some of the others but these races have a way of evening out the competition. (7) WARRAWEE YANKEE hails from a barn that has seen plenty of success in this class over the last few years.
Race 7: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L2 $3,470) in last 4/TM 77 (NW L2/2L4/2L18 77.5/78/79.15) or less
(4) HOCKEY HANOVER looked good sitting the pocket but completely spit the bit when angled wide in the lane. In a field that appears to lack early speed on the outside of the gate this looks like a great opportunity for him to try and wire the field. (6) UNIQUE KEMP is one of many in the field dropping in class. His starts at this level have been very good. (10) SHINKANSEN was never given a fair shake last time and the results where underwhelming. He used to have big speed and I wonder if they unleash him here and take a shot. (8) ALLINDOTIME looks to carry his amateur form into regular overnight races while picking up a catch-driver.
Race 8: Meadowlands Amateur Drivers Club 2 Pace - $6,535 Pick 6 Carryover
(2) THROWING COPPER finds a field with plenty of outside speed and that could play right into this closer’s hand. Obviously we are hoping that the trip works out but at least we’ll be rewarded with a fair mutuel. (10) MARINER SEELSTER has been the King of MADC1 and now tries his hand at the top amateur class. 15-year-old millionaire is certainly capable. (9) DEALER’S TABLE moves into a new barn and is plenty fast; dangerous. (3) YAYAS HOT SPOT N was picked off on the final turn and that sealed his fate last time. Only issue for me is the others are faster.
Race 9: Non-winners $3,000 in last 4/TM 77.5 (NW L2/2L4 78/78.75) or less/Opt. $12,500 Claiming
(4) COALFORDSNSHINE GB came up short in her comeback qualifier but there is no shame in losing to Beach Cowgirl. This looks like a soft spot and she should have a chance to shine off the bench. (3) BADDITUDE is simply too sharp to ignore right now. Both of the top two picks could offer better than normal value due to the drivers. (1) ROSEY TIME drops out of a 20K claiming series at Yonkers and should fit nicely.
Race 10: Non-winners $5,000 in last 4/TM 80.5 or less - $50K GTD Pick 4
(3) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL went too fast on the front and wasn’t able to sustain his speed in the stretch last time. She’s a threat here with a better trip. (5) LAURIE LEE picked up some confidence last time at Pocono. This mare has the class to win. (1) SPEAK YOUR MIND should be close to the action and I’d expect he’ll get a nice piece; using underneath.
Race 11: Trackmaster 74 (NW L2/2L4 74.5/75) or less
(7) MISS MAYCEE is seemingly taking a lateral move in class but in reality is facing much easier here. (9) BULLVILLEKARLA has won her last two starts in this class. (5) MILADY DENVER A finished just behind the top pick in her last two starts.
Race 12: Non-winners $12,500 in last 4 or 8 races life/TM 86.5 (NW L2/2L4 87/87.5) or less
This is a really competitive race when you consider how many in here have early speed and how sharp some of these horses are right now. Let’s take a shot with newcomer and likely closer (9) BLOOD MOON A, who was an in-the-money machine Down Under (33 placings from 50 starts). The qualifier was fine and this barn has been doing well in 2024. (2) SHEZAFREAKLIKEME has found herself in recent weeks and I wouldn’t be shocked if she outraced her odds again. (8) BEACH COWGIRL beat the top pick in the recent qualifier with a better trip. She has class but may be overbet. (7) PATTYCAKE MOOSS has early speed, form and a consistent recent record in this condition.

Race 13: Trackmaster 77 (NW L2/2L4 77.5/78.05) or less
(2) ABEL DE VIE lost cover into the final turn, attacked the leader with all he had and faded in the stretch last time. A smoother trip can produce better results. (7) OH COFFEE BEAN figures to be the last of the early speed players to make the top here and he’s clearly sharp. (1) BANK SEA is a capable horse given a decent trip.
Race 14: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2/2L4 71.5/72.15) or less
Let me start by saying that none of these jump off the page for me, so tread lightly when wagering. (8) COIN FLIP hasn’t shown much since coming down for new trainer Edwin Quevedo but also hasn’t been put in play. I’d love to see Beckwith get aggressive here. (3) JERRYTONE finished five lengths in front of the top pick last time and on that premise alone you have to consider him. (4) MANSAI hasn’t been bad at Dover lately and perhaps he’ll enjoy the stretch-out on the big track.
