MEET STATS: 68-14-10-9 / $64.20 (-$71.80) BEST BETS: 5-3-0-0 / $8.60 (-1.40) BEST BET: MASTER CONRAD (13th) SPOT PLAY: SHELLIE DE VIE (4th) Race 1: GSY Amateur Series - Pick 5 (4) RUFO has seen some tough luck lately while up in class. This looks like a good spot for him to shine with a driver that has done well in the series. (10) SCIROCCO MISTYSAID rolled down the road impressively last weekend and could be the one to beat if he somehow makes the top from a difficult starting spot. (2) ROCKIN PANDA and (1) NORTHERN ROCK are both in decent form and have some speed from the inside posts. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: TrackMaster Rating 73 or less (4) JOLLITY hasn't been in a pari-mutuel race since August but put in a decent qualifier last time at Dover. As long as he minds his manners there is no reason he can't handle this soft group. (6) SHARKNADO was a solid second in this class two starts back. (9) THUNDER DOME also has some decent miles in this class and may just have enough early zip to gain position early. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Non-winners $2,500 in last 5/TM Rating 75.5 or less - Survivor 7 This field lacks consistent performers and has a number of horses who could break or win. Good luck! (1) BROADWAY PROMISE stayed flat versus a better group last time. If new connections have him figured out, he may head right down the road. (8) DIXIE SLIPPERS showed early speed and was a solid second in this class most recently. (10) WHAT CHAPTER is certainly a threat to start dancing at the start, but he’s beaten better than these in his career. (6) WISHYOU'DTELLME showed some life last time and could be coming to form for a solid barn. Race 4: Non-winners $2,500 in last 5/TM Rating 73 or less/Opt. $10,000 Clm. (3) SHELLIE DE VIE went crazy fractions on the front and paid the price last week. Veteran mare finds a much easier spot this time around and should be able to set very slow fractions if Zeron is aggressive with her again. (1) TRUSSED UP TRUDY improved in her second start back from a brief vacation and only needs to take a baby step forward to compete. (6) SAINT ALBRAY looks formidable on paper, but in reality she rallied off fast fractions and is at the mercy of what looks like it could be a slow pace. (4) ARNIE’S ANGEL continues to drop down the class ladder in search of form; last start wasn’t bad. Race 5: Winners 4-6 races or $75,000 life (6) GODSPELL HALL was in a better spot last week and broke, but that doesn’t mean he isn't more than fast enough to beat this group. I'm back on board here because he 100% broke last time due to car exhaust in his face at the start, which shouldn't be an issue with warmer temperatures and possibly rain on tap Friday. Target price is 7-2 or higher. (4) SWAN IN MOTION just missed in this class two starts back. He could get a nice setup here from off the pace with plenty of outside speed. (8) SOME CHAPTER seems to win just about every time out. That said, I'm worried with (7) NO TIME TO PLAY likely flashing early speed to his inside. Plus Some Chapter will be the favorite; no value here. Race 6: Non-winners $7,500 in last 5/TM Rating 81.30 or less/Opt. $20,000 Clm. - $50K GTD Pick4 (1) SLY ELEANOR N had little to offer in her first start for new trainer Noel Daley after missing six weeks of action. I'm expecting much more now. (4) BEST HONEY HANOVER finished fast for second last Friday against the bias that was clearly favoring those close to the front. (5) DRAGON ROLL got second from the eight-hole at Yonkers last week. Roll With Joe-sired mare showed promise early in her career and might be ready after a few starts back from vacation. (3) ALWAYS MINDY drops back down to her comfort level and should bring a good effort. Race 7: Non-winners $4,500 in last 5/TM Rating 75 or less/2 races in 2020-21 (4) MANNY L has mostly been facing better foes and his 30 1/5 final quarter last week wasn't bad considering the conditions. In a field without a standout, this guy seems worth a shot at good odds. (3) INFINITI AS didn’t fire after missing five weeks of action. Veteran can blow this field away if ready for a top effort. (7) GRACEFUL WINNER sat a good trip and blew up when daylight presented itself in the stretch. She could win but I'll probably shy away. (1) GRUDEN and (9) MARLEY'S GUY are both coming off solid efforts in this class. Race 8: $10,000 Claiming - Pick 6 (6) PAR INTENDED drops down and gets post relief to go along with it this week. If this 10-year-old has anything in the tank I imagine we'll see it this week; early speed? (2) JUST WAVE GOODBYE has good early speed, which should give him a nice tactical advantage against a somewhat sluggish group. (7) NIALL HANOVER has dealt with some bad posts of late and did race well in his last two starts for this claiming price. (4) NA NA NA BAATMAN is another taking a claiming price reduction who could certainly deliver. Race 9: Non-winners $7,500 in last 5/TM Rating 83.2 or less (4) BIZET comes out of a very salty NW7500 field and is certainly in a better spot this week. Yannick sticks here over (9) ALL AMERICAN N and a mild upset is well within his reach. The latter moves into a live barn and clearly gets class relief. (6) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES continues to climb the ladder while in career form. (1) CARRICK has been a consistent player of late. I'd lean to using him underneath, but he could win. Race 10: Winners over $11,500 in last 5 or $50,000 life - $50K GTD Pick 4 (6) DBLDELITEBRIGADE N went a monster mile to be fourth last Friday after missing three weeks of action. This is a strong field, but she gets the slight nod. (8) ALEXA SKYE overcame post 8 twice at Freehold, which is not easy to do. She then went on to win the Open at Yonkers; one to beat. (3) THE BANDIT QUEEN N came up short last time after missing seven weeks of action. She could certainly show more this week. (7) TANGO DANCER N is certainly sharp and wouldn't be a surprise. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Meadowlands card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 11: Non-winners $4,500 in last 5/TM Rating 79/Opt. $15,000 Clm. This is another difficult to decipher field. (3) TWINSBURG has been stuck with no-shot posts of late. Finally moving inside for a barn that has been hot lately, perhaps there is an upset in the making. (6) MILADY DENVER A returns to The Meadowlands at a reduced level and figures to be aggressive. (8) BRUNHILDA went a long mile last Friday and tired. His previous start he was second in this class. (5) LADY ROCKNROLLA A was used making the front as both horses to her inside also left last week. With a smooth trip, she seems capable. Race 12: Non-winners 2-3 races or $20,000 life (5) LIGHT BLUE MOVERS comes off a pair of lines that look awful on paper, but this really is a great spot for him to finally be placed on the front where he has done his best work. (8) HIPSTER K is far and away the horse to beat, but this is just his second career start and I’m not sure if he'll be pushed away from the gate, which may place him too far back early to win. (3) SCIROCCO PATRICK came home strong last time. (2) R HERBIE BLUE CHIP didn't take as much money as expected last time and was clearly flat in the stretch. I'm not sure what to expect now. Race 13: $7,500 Claiming (6) MASTER CONRAD was parked out in his first start for this barn. He double-drops in claiming price now and figures to awaken. (5) TWO FIFTYEIGHT N has been racing reasonably well and gets Dunn tonight. (1) JUST N BERLANDER took a few weeks off, but if he is ready, this is his comfort level. (7) MAJOR JESSE closed well from a tough post last week. (3) OH JOHNNY B GOOD blew them away last week in this class and yet Allard opted to #6.
