BEST BETS: 8-0-5-2 / $0.00 (-16.00)

SPOT PLAY: KING ALPHONSO (14th)
Race 1: GSY 1 Pace - Pick 5
(3) DOC'S HOOLIGAN and (4) TAKEITTOTHEFACE closed from the back of the pack last time after chasing very slow fractions. Both get major class relief here and could certainly switch tactics for an early speed try. (1) HAYMITCH has been racing ok out of town and should have an exotics shot with a reasonable trip.

Race 2: TrackMaster 74.5 (NW L3/5 75/75.70) or less
(4) STARLITSIMPLE RIG gets a great mid-pack post and picks up Dexter Dunn while facing a suspect group. (3) MARTARITAONDAROCKS exits some salty Winners 1-3 races and just missed in her last try against this condition. (10) TRANS MEANIE looked like a different horse in the qualifier last time for new connections.

Race 3: TrackMaster 74.5 (NW L3/2L5 75/75.50) or less - Survivor 7
(4) SCRAPPIN GOLD went a long mile when leaving from post 9 last time and actually held ok considering the trip. The road to the front should be much easier this week. (7) ITS ROCKIN RANDY is another with early speed in his arsenal and that should place him in prime position tonight. (1) MARVALOUS ONE improved in his second start back from the break in action and don't be shocked if he's ready to pop a big mile now.
Race 4: Non-winners 2 (NW L3 3) races or $20,000 (NW L3 $20,000) life/Maidens draw inside
(9) SENNA qualified back very nicely to finish willingly in a fast mile. His best destroys this field and his 'B' game wins too. (5) MAKE IT EASY switches back to the big track and that could very well pick up her game. (7) MAKIN MAGIC TONITE didn't make magic but was able to stay flat with hobbles added last time. She could certainly take another step forward here.
Race 5: GSY 1 Handicap Pace
(5) MISTER DAYTONA N drops out of 20K claimers and really should enjoy this spot. He's no lock though, so don't bet it all. (3) BILBO HANOVER and (1) MV OK PALACIO BR finished one-two in the GSY last weekend and both merit a long look again.
Race 6: Non-winners $5,000 (NW 2L5 $5,500) in last 5/TM 80.5 (NW L3/2L5 81/81.5) or less - $50K GTD Pick 4
(1) GAITWAY GAL won here two starts back but was stuck in an impossible spot last time and charged home with no shot. Four-year-old takes on more established mares here but seems capable of picking up her game at a price. (5) PEARL HARBOUR N added Lasix and wasn't exactly firing home as well as we hoped. Sometimes it takes a week for the medication to really sink in. (7) KAITLYN N has been firing off the gate and getting nice checks; seems likely again.
Race 7: Non-winners $7,500 (NW L3 $8,850) in last 5/TM 82.5 (NW L3/2L5 83/83.71) or less
(6) MON AMOUR has made late breaks in two straight starts at Yonkers. It looked like his tail got caught in the lines two back and maybe last time the off track didn't help. The hobbles go on now and if they along with the steady hands of Dunn keep him trotting, he’s more than fast enough to win. (2) CHIPLOSIVE drops a class and hails from a barn that started to heat up last weekend. (1) LUCKY WEEKEND drops out of the same race as #2 and finished just ahead of that foe last weekend.
Race 8: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3 $3,331) in last 5/TM 77.5 (NW L3/L5 78/78.5) or less/Opt. $12,500 Clm. - Pick 6
(1) GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW drops back down to the level of her last win two starts back. I wouldn't take a very short price on her because this is a decent field for the class, but she's the one to beat. (9) RABLE has the speed to get position from post 9 for a barn that got hot Sunday with a pair of wins. (2) A BETTER GAME took some air and battled gamely to the wire; very capable.
Race 9: Winners 2-4 (NW L3 5) races or $50,000 (NW L3 $60,000) life
(3) FRANK THE ELDER showed some promise as a 3-year-old and now returns to the races after a few months on the sidelines and a sharp qualifier. Burke usually sends them out ready and this guy didn't exactly catch the toughest field in the world. (7) ADORE ME and (6) BULLY BOY HILL finished a head apart last time out and both merit a look if the top one isn't near 100%.
Race 10: $12,500-$15,000 Claiming Handicap - $50K GTD Pick 4
(2) BET THE LIMIT was super last time out and he should keep his form for the new barn. Yes, he's up in claiming price, but there are no killers in this field. (4) FOX VALLEY CARLIN has been showing some signs of late life recently. Dunn was listed to drive but is leaving after race 7. Callahan is an ample replacement. (9) CAPOZZO drops and has the speed to overcome the outside post. That said, he pulled the pocket authoritatively last time and was gobbled up in the lane.
Race 11: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3 $3,300) in last 5
(4) JK STANDINGOVATION rallied well from post 10 last time in his first start since October. Logic states that moving to a better post and with that start in hand, he'll be much better. (3) SOUTHWIND PETYR adds Lasix and is worth one more shot at this level. (1) SPRINGSTEEN is the classiest horse in the field by far but he's seemingly had plenty of chances. (6) LETSGOTOBRAZIL A is down in class with no form; tough call.
Race 12: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3 $3,331) in last 5/TM 77.5 (NW L3/L5 78/78.5) or less/Opt. $12,500 Clm.
(4) SPEAK YOUR MIND chased a slow half last time and really had no chance despite pacing home in 26 4/5. Callahan choosing here over #1 and #9 shows he even thinks there is more to this gal. (3) SKATEBOARD CHIC was even from an outside post last time; big shot here. (1) MILADY DENVER A is a speed horse that finally gets away from the outside posts. Veteran should fire out and have a shot with a decent trip.

Race 13: TrackMaster 77.5 (NW L3/2L5 78/78.50) or less
(1) FREE ON THE BEACH turned in a nice steady effort in just his second try for this barn. He can certainly step forward. (2) RAPTORS FLIGHT N will be much better moving to a better post but doesn't seem worth the odds-on price you'll likely have to stomach. (10) ILLINI DUKE is dealt with a difficult post but does have enough form and early speed to make some noise. (4) FERDINAND A has the always dangerous early speed and form combination on his side.
Race 14: Non-winners $3,000 (NW L3 $3,300) in last 5/TM 77.5 (NW L3/L5 78/78.5) or less
(5) KING ALPHONSO double-drops in class since his last appearance here in December. Lasix is on and Gingras is hanging around for the last race on the card…all good signs. (4) FIX-IT-UP raced much better with Lasix added last weekend; threat if the top one isn't up to snuff. (1) LOUIS was second in this class two starts back. (6) CRAZY ABOUT PAT has the speed to make the front and should hang around for a piece if he elects to gun out.
