FALL MEET STATS: 112-37-18-19 / $240.20 (+$16.20) BEST BETS: 8-4-1-1 / $12.00 (-$4.00) SPOT PLAYS: 8-3-1-2 / $25.40 (+$9.40) BEST BET: BUSY MISS LISSY S (3rd) SPOT PLAY: DARLIN’S ANGEL (8th) Race 1: Trackmaster 68 (NW L2 70.3) or less - Pick 5 This race is truly the bottom of the barrel in terms of talent and form. (3) ZIRKOVA has gone some interesting trips in her last couple of starts and while her lines look awful, there is a bit of talent here and the switch to the big track for the first time could bring it out. I’m not excited about (5) MISS YOU JOANN but she seems like the most logical winner. She has early speed and should be sent to the front in a field without many speedy foes on the outside of the gate. (8) FUNNEIGH seems to be moving in the right direction for her new trainer; improves again? [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot (7) MR PENNER has thrown in some breaks out of town but owns a win and a second in two starts here in series action. This looks like a good spot. (2) ULTIMATE BETRAYAL looked good in his debut but broke in the following start. Last time he simply never got involved after getting away at the back. There could be more here than we see on paper. (6) PRACTICAL MAN is the series point leader and certainly a big threat. That said, his best races have come by sitting and pouncing. Can he get the right trip at shorter odds? (3) AI lost me as a backer after a break last time. He simply hasn’t stepped up on the larger tracks. Race 3: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot - Survivor 7 (1) BUSY MISS LISSY S is perfect in two Kindergarten starts and she certainly didn’t tarnish her reputation with some nice miles in Grand Circuit action. (2) ABBEY BLUE CHIP is certainly capable of going with this field and proved that with a win in leg one of this series. A seven week layoff is the main concern. (3) KICKAN finished less than a length behind the top pick at The Red Mile. However, she’s proven to be more of a follower who gets minor awards thus far. Race 4: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace (4) FABULOUS HANOVER has been spending her time chasing divisional leader Loua Dipa and getting whatever minor awards she can grab. Here she finds a great spot where she can take charge and at worst sit the pocket. (6) AMIRA HANOVER has hit the board in all three Kindergarten starts and she definitely has a serious chance. (2) CAR KEYS has some ability but wasn’t quite ready for the spotlight when last seen. I wouldn’t be shy about putting her on tickets at the right price. Race 5: Non-winners $5,000 (NW L2 $5,501) in last 5/TM 80.75 or less (3) ABSOLUTE POWER drops to the lowest level she has seen in a year and a half. She has a real chance of wiring the field but could just as easily stop on the front. (4) LISA LANE should be sharp despite the missed time after chasing Twin B Joe Fresh in a qualifier. Chris Ryder trainee has done good work over this oval. (7) PRIDEFUL was stuck in post eight at Yonkers last time and was up in class at Philly prior to that. She’s in a winning spot here if the top one doesn’t bring her best. Race 6: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Trot  (8) HIGHBALL HANOVER won his last start here and went on to finish second in a pair of stakes at The Red Mile in fast times. He gets the narrow call over (6) MAGIC PUNK, who has only been worse than second once in his career but hasn’t raced in six weeks, and (1) AMERICAN POWER, a recent Grand Circuit winner that has done his best work from behind and might be pace compromised. Race 7: Kindergarten 2YO C&G Pace I have no idea what happened with (4) SIGNAL CALLER last time but typically when horses stop that badly the solution is simple. Noel Daley charge has special speed and should sit back and pounce in this spot. (3) BOOKIE J was flat in the stretch last time after missing just over a month of action; could improve. (7) TOAST OF THE TOWN hasn’t been on the track since September 12 when he won a leg of the Kindergarten. Race 8: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Pace - $11,126 Pick 6 Carryover (5) DARLIN’S ANGEL was buried fifth on the pylons and finished up the mile willingly in her lone Kindergarten start. Since then she’s gone on to beat up on weaker a few times. Filly is on a confidence high and seems ready to handle this caliber of competition. (2) PRTYNPROUD HANOVER and (6) JK FIERCE LADY both own a win and a second in Kindergarten action and either could step up here on the win end. Race 9: Trackmaster 74.5 (NW L2 76.5) or less/NW 2 races life (8) CATCH SOME SUN switches barns and switches from the Delaware circuit to The Meadowlands after a $7,400 online sale. Four-year-old hasn’t been on a big track in quite some time but should be capable of going the 1:52 or 1:53 mile needed to win. (7) TH SUMMER LOVIN shows mile times that make you think she’ll handle this group, but her one win in 29 starts with 13 placings make you have to wonder if she’ll come up short. (6) NEIL’S DIAMOND seems to have found herself in recent weeks and may finally be ready to shine here. Race 10: Non-winners 2 (NW L2 3) races or $20,000 (NW L2 $30,000) life/Maidens draw inside (7) NOT UNCERTAIN broke on the first turn two starts back and on the second turn last time, both on the smaller track at Yonkers. The move to the mile could solve the problem for a horse with ability but a questionable gait. (1) CREATE ESCAPE has been racing well in stakes action and should be the one to beat tonight. (8) SOFT LANDING has a win over the track and the return qualifier was pretty good. He may be worth using on your Pick 6 tickets given the large carryover. Race 11: Kindergarten 2YO Filly Trot (2) ALL TIME TROT S should take charge in this abbreviated field and have a big shot of a wire to wire victory. (3) DUICINEA HANOVER was somewhat weak on the rim and broke last time but has put in some nice efforts with a strong late rally on the bigger tracks. (4) MADAM CHEVAL has certainly been keeping better company and has a big shot of winning here. That said, she’ll be overbet and hasn’t proven much yet. Race 12: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2 73.66) or less (3) ALMOST KAREN went a long mile from an outside post last week and tonight she finally ends a string of three straight starts from difficult starting spots. Notice that her last try in this class from an inside post resulted in a three length win. (2) SPROUT almost paced off her feet two starts back after a ground-saving trip and was trapped again last time before finishing up willingly behind a runaway winner. She’s a great fit here. (8) RONA MAE was overbet and flat as the chalk last time. She’s better than that effort. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 13: Trackmaster 71 (NW L2/L4 73.25/74.15) or less (8) KNIGHT ANGEL was used to the front past a 27 3/5 opening quarter and put in a game mile in defeat to a pair of foes who aren’t in this race. Nine-year-old should have a big chance but is still winless on the year. (3) YOUMEANDWHICKEY is clearly going to the top and should be sitting no worse than second. Her best is good enough to win. Race 14: Trackmaster 68 (NW L2 70.3) or less (7) HOLD MY TIARA finished very well from a tough spot when up in class last time. She’s back at her comfort level and should have a big shot. (4) WISCO HALF PINT was used early and paid the price upon arrival last Saturday; new driver tonight! (1) THANEEYA could flash speed and work out a nice trip from the inside. (6) DUCK INTO THE NITE was a good second when last at the TM68 level.
