ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Me the Sea and G T ($48.40), the second-longest shot in the field of Ontario-sired 3-year-olds, came from well off a hot pace to take the $125,800 Bold Ruckus Stakes on Wednesday night at Woodbine. Me the Sea and G T trailed on the backstretch of the six-furlong turf event, while four runners battled for the early lead. Daniel Be Good ended up setting fractions of 21.87 seconds and 44.43, before being joined up front by The Boy's Ring. Me the Sea and G T commenced a wide rally inside the quarter pole, and he passed the leaders in deep stretch to prevail by a neck over The Boy's Ring. Daniel Be Good was a length back in third, and the even-money favorite, Paso Doble, faded to finish a distant sixth in the seven-horse field. With jockey Tyler Pizarro aboard, Me the Sea and G T completed the distance in 1:08.65. He earned $75,000 in his first stakes win for G T Heat Stable and trainer Steve Owens.
