Me B Bubba T a contender in local debut
Me B Bubba T looks like the one to beat in an allowance race for nonwinners of two or nonwinners of three Washington-breds that headlines the seven-race card at Emerald Downs on Friday. The 6 1/2-furlong dash for 3-year-olds and up drew seven horses and goes as race 6 with a scheduled post time of 9:54 p.m. Pacific.
Me B Bubba T is coming off a runner-up finish going a mile and 70 yards in a similar race at Canterbury Park for trainer Vann Belvoir. The only difference in the conditions of the race is that the one at Canterbury was open to nonwinners of three Minnesota-breds.
A Washington-bred son of Declaration of War, Me B Bubba T will be making his first start at Emerald and is trained by Blaine Wright.

Me B Bubba T is a better horse going a middle distance, and his only win came going 1 1/8 miles on turf in a $50,000 maiden claimer at Del Mar on Aug. 26, 2021.
He pressed an honest pace in his last start, which produced a couple of next-out winners, and he showed plenty of zip when he worked three furlongs in 34.60 seconds at Emerald on Aug. 15. He will break from post 4 with Kevin Orozco up.
Wright will also be represented by Trumped, who will be making his debut following a string of solid works highlighted by a bullet five-furlong move in 58.40 seconds Aug. 7.
A 4-year-old California-bred, Trumped is by Midshipman, whose first-time starters win at a rate of 14 percent. Trumped is out of Impeached, who won five times on turf and twice on dirt for earnings of $174,497. Her only other foal is the multiple sprint-stakes winner Slack Tide, who finished second in the $75,000 Washington Oaks on Sunday. Slack Tide has excellent speed and used it to win the $50,000 Angie C. as a 2-year-old in her second start.
Trumped will break from post 6 with Juan Gutierrez aboard.
The Alan Bozell-trained March On Linch was the runner-up going six furlongs at this level two back before finishing fifth in a race dominated by the lone speed in his latest July 31. The 4-year-old Washington-bred son of Linchpin will be rolling late and could get up in time in a race that figures to have an honest and contested pace.
Book Smart, trained by Kay Cooper, forced a fast pace when he won a $25,000 maiden claimer in his second start July 17. The 3-year-old son of Stanford could have considerable upside and has been working well for Cooper, who the past year is 4 for 8 and has a $4.13 ROI with horses coming back in 31-60 days.
The Howard Belvoir-trained Decimate has been lighting it up in the mornings following his win in a $15,000 claimer for nonwinners of two July 8.
