McPeek readies two stars for 2022 debuts

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Multiple graded stakes winning stablemates Envoutante and Crazy Beautiful took another step closer to their much anticipated 2022 debuts when they worked four furlongs in company in 48.75 here Friday morning for trainer Kenny McPeek. Both horses finished well within themselves while noses apart at the wire before galloping out in tandem in 1:02.18.
Envoutante has not started since successfully defending his title in Churchill Downs’s Grade 2 Falls City Stakes on Nov. 25, drawing off to a six-length victory, the same margin she won the race by a year earlier.

Crazy Beautiful has been idle since finishing a troubled third in Aqueduct’s Grade 3 Comely on Nov. 26. She was a convincing winner of the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks during the 2021 championship meeting.
