LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Christopher McNamara, a former vice president of a Lexington marketing agency, has been named the senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Breeders’ Cup Ltd. McNamara, who was the director of account service and a vice president at Cornett for the past nine years, will be responsible for “business development and sponsorship sales” at Breeders’ Cup, according to the organization. While at Cornett, McNamara was responsible for accounts that included several large brands in Central Kentucky, including Buffalo Trace bourbon and Toyota, which has a large manufacturing plant just outside Lexington. McNamara replaces Bryan Pettigrew, who resigned in February to take a position with the company Global Golf Management to oversee the Barbasol Championship, a PGA Tour event at a Lexington golf course.
