McGee: Saratoga late pick four for Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018
Looking to leverage a firm opinion in the 11th race Sunday, I’ll single Out of Trouble (7-2 morning line) while hoping for a price or two in the other legs in the late pick four (races 9-12) at Saratoga. Here’s the strategy (assumes racing stays on turf):
Race 9: Mighty Scarlett (8) is an odds-on program favorite for Chad Brown, but Too Cool to Dance (3), the “other Chad,” stands a solid chance at taking these 1x allowance fillies wire to wire, while Goodbye Brockley (9), a restricted stakes winner over the course, seems in good enough form to upset either of the Brown pair.
Race 10: Coverage in the Grade 2 Prioress seems sufficient with Mia Mischief (4) and the two unbeaten “Dreams,” Dream Pauline (5) and Dream Tree (8).

Race 11: Even beyond her easy last-out romp in an off-turf allowance restricted to New York-breds, Out of Trouble (2) has been in terrific form since returning to action on Belmont Day for Brad Cox and seems very well spotted as a race-long forward factor in this open 1x spot.
Race 12: Plenty of insurance if the ticket’s still alive when spreading six-deep in this open $25,000 turf-route finale with Sycamore Lane (1), King of New York (6), Your Only Man (7), Master Plan (10), St. Louie (11), and Hieroglyphics (12).
Here’s the straight-A ticket:
R9: 3, 8, 9
R10: 4, 5, 8
R11: 2
R12: 1, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12
50-cent ticket = $27
