White Wabbit and Jorge Navarro are trying to make a race of it atop the owner and trainer standings, respectively, and they’re looking to take a base on balls in race 2 with class-dropping, last-out-romper DEFENSE ARTICLE (2). Will single him and another Navarro trainee, NO ACT (5) in race 4, in the early pick four.

Race 6

THEPARTYNEVERENDS (4) lost virtually all chance at the start of her Jan. 31 debut and should make amends here. Will consider for some horizontal plays while keying in trifectas and superfectas over 1, 6, 7.

Race 7

MIGHTY WARRIOR (4) showed a hint of ability in his first-and-only outing in September (a race that produced multiple next-out winners) and should improve after being regrouped by Mike Petro, especially considering how soft this spot appears to be. Will key.

Race 8

GUARIMBERO (3) and MR. WILLIAM (5) both sport intriguing looks off layoffs. Both turn back in distance as major players.

Race 9

SWEETGRASS (2) now draws a much better post than in that Feb. 8 race in which she was a decent third with first Lasix. Presence of Leandro Goncalves should help the price; will use in verticals with 3, 5, 6, 10.

Race 10

Using use bookends from stables that excel with first-timers, HARDCORE (1) and CLARA KELLY (11), in starting off a late pick three that singles MATROOH (7) in Race 11. Here’s the final ticket:
