McDynamo to seek Cup repeat

Twelve horses, including the 2003 Steeplechase Eclipse Award winner, McDynamo, have been nominated to the $175,000 Breeders' Cup Steeplechase on Oct. 23.

McDynamo won all three of his steeplechase starts last year, including a 15-length score in the Breeders' Cup Steeplechase, but has not run in 2004 because of a hock injury. He is currently training up to the 2 5/8-mile BC Steeplechase, which will be run at Far Hills, N.J.

Others nominated to the race are: Ansar, Blasphemous, Flat Top, Hirapour, Mulahen, Pelagos, Popular Gigalo, Preemptive Strike, Santenay, Sur La Tete, and Tres Touche.
