Marten photos in Del Mar show

The work of Michael J. Marten, a two-time Eclipse Award-winning photographer whose work appears in Daily Racing Form, will be on display Saturday night after the Del Mar races at Axis Martini Bar and Restaurant, near the track. Also to be exhibited are the racetrack photographs of H. Montgomery-Drysdale.

Marten's Eclipse Awards came in 1995 for his photograph of Thunder Gulch in the Kentucky Derby and in 1999 for his shot of Daylami and jockey Frankie Dettori after their Breeders' Cup Turf victory. He will exhibit selections from his upcoming book "Highlights of Racing" at the show, most of them shown in color.

Montgomery-Drysdale's photographs are black-and-white studies of activity on racing's backside.
