Marr has four in Albert Dominguez Memorial

The $85,000 Albert Dominguez Memorial Handicap on Saturday at Sunland Park would seem to run through the Joel Marr barn. The trainer has four of the 10 entrants in the New Mexico-bred feature, including nine-time stakes winner That’s Who.
Marr’s other starters in the race are Cross Chris Run, Vic Tories, and E Bar Way. The field for the Dominguez, which is for 4-year-olds and up, also includes Wyatt, the 123-pound highweight, and Song of Laura, a promising sort for trainer Todd Fincher.
Albert Dominguez Memorial, Race 9
KEY CONTENDERS
That’s Who (Last 3 Beyers: 61-74-71)
◗ He’s the second highweight at 120 pounds and will be moving back to two turns off a fifth-place finish in the $181,000 New Mexico Cup Sprint, won by Wyatt. That’s Who was a stakes winner at 1 1/16 miles in May, capturing the $60,000 Lineage at The Downs at Albuquerque.
◗ That’s Who will be making his 7-year-old debut and has the distinction of having won at least one stakes race every year since he was 2. He leads Saturday’s field in earnings with $773,762.
◗ That’s Who is also appealing for his tactical speed. Isaias Enriquez has the mount for Sam and Latane Stevens.
Cross Chris Run (Last 3 Beyers: 71-68-73)
◗ He closed from last for third in the $191,000 New Mexico Cup Classic in his most recent start Nov. 1, following a three-month layoff. He won this race at 4 and with the turn of the calendar is now 9.
◗ Cross Chris Run will break from the rail and could get a decent pace setup with a number of his rivals stretching out from sprints Saturday. Ken Tohill has the mount for Cleber Massey.
