Marquis Downs: Favored Langhfuhr Max wins Prairie Lily
Langhfuhr Max notched his third win in as many starts with a game head victory in the $15,000 Prairie Lily Sales Stakes at Marquis Downs on Friday evening.
The Prairie Lily, a 61/2-furlong race for 2-year-olds who went through the sales ring at the local auction here last fall, went with a field of nine and Langfuhr Max prevailed as the mild favorite at 5-2.
Neville Stephenson rode Langhfuhr Max, who has now banked $19,139 for his trainer and part-owner Al Hanson.
Perky N Sweets, a maiden filly� who had made her first two starts in Vancouver, finished second as the second choice with Tricky Great, who had been racing in Alberta, checking in third.
