HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – March to the Arch, an up-and-coming 3-year-old turf prospect and Live Oak homebred trained by Mark Casse, will take on older horses for the first time in Friday’s fourth event, carded at a mile on the turf for Florida-breds.
March to the Arch overcame some early traffic before dropping a nose decision to the pace-setting He’s Bankable, a stablemate, in the Sophomore Turf at Tampa Bay Downs on March 25. His chief competition on Friday figures to come from older rivals Archer Road and Thoristic. Archer Road comes off a wide-running second-place effort under similar conditions here on March 30.
